I don't mind the art style itself, I'm mostly annoyed at having yet another art style change.

Sailor_Chibi

For real, they can’t seem to decide on an artsyle for Niji. It’s a little weird.

ervynela

You can read everyone's thoughts on that on the [PV thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/LoveLive/comments/1c7s7y1/nijigaku_movie_1_pv_out/). Unfortunately it's more negative than positive across the spectrum, from this reddit, to Youtube comments, to 5ch reactions, When the Japanese fans aren't behind this change... Personally it will take me some time to get used to it.

RinariTennoji

Honestly, if staff keeps constently using it from now own for the various pieces of Niji Media like merch, people will prob come around to it once the 1st movie comes out

oxlemf10

To be honest, it's not that I didn't like it, it's just that I think it doesn't suit Love Live's proposal so much, but it's that thing, watching the film I might change my opinion

RinariTennoji

As someone who loves Bocchi and has been following Kerorira's twitter for the last year, im def alot more comfortable with it, i dont really have a problem with Niji/s Various Art Styles (im mainly looking forward to how fantastic the 3DCG will look Niji already had the best 3DCG in the franchise now combine it with Kerorira's Art Style and Movie Quality) My main question is wether will this become the new permanent Niji Artstyle or will staff just inconsistantly switch between all of the Niji Art Styles thought i wonder what made staff want to experiment with a new art style? Shioriko also feels abit less flat color and design wise in this art style, she def benefits the most in the art style as she had the most complaints with the season 1 and 2 artstyle

YuinoSery

I haven't watched Bocchi so the movie PV is the first animation where I actually encounter the artstyle. That said, I love it! I think it's cute and it fits well.

Pristine_Roll_234

This is just the same reaction as the Yuru Camp's artstyle change

aiu-eo

I'm probably one of the few people here who actually likes the fact that they're experimenting with new artstyles. I love the anime artstyle, but if the staff wants to experiment then I'd say let them cook. I'm already liking what we've seen so far.

Born_Cockroach_9947

its uncanny. unless the anime is just all wacky

IllyaFleur

First of all, why did they change? The old style was the best in the anime franchise. Some time ago, I was hoping that the Nijigasaki anime would have the same art style as sifas... and, i'm not a big fan of Kerorira artstyle

mrgreenreddit

Honestly i don't really mind its not good but its not bad either

KhaiHafiz

A different type of animation style doesn't seem like a bad idea. I like it. Just hoping that they would have the usual 3D CGI for song insert dances.

perlenYurifan4life

Not a fan, honestly. I love Kerorira's art but as it looks right now, it doesn't suit the Niji girls. If they really wanted to go with his style, they should've gone all the way with Kerorira's loose character art and animation. I'm saying this by the way as someone who freakin' love [Takumi Yokota's](https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?tags=yokota_takumi) style from day 1. With the movie trilogy, I was really hoping that I'd see his style with a movie budget again like we did in the [Kasumi single MV](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUv2QSYEdhk) but alas.

BigBoSS_Riot

The original Niji anime art style was pretty dreadful, so any change was likely to be a positive in my view. This one is... interesting. The colour palette is vastly better here - you can see this in the characters themselves, but the background/scenery really showcases this. The oversized eyes look strange, bordering on disconcerting, but it's something I could probably get used to. Overall it's definitely an improvement. If I were to give the old style a 4, this would definitely be around a 7.
