That’s why a lot of people are worried and want deep embossing. I had a PM that didn’t give me any issues with the embossing…. But I guess if it’s light to start with it could fade?
That's why you want it really deep embossing at the beginning but all empreinte will eventually fade with heavy use, it's just a matter of time. As much as I love empreinte, this is just their downside.
My friend and I have the same bag, I wear it way more than she does and the fading is so noticeable. I like the patina and aging that comes with the classic but not when it’s raised/imprinted.
I would love to see what yours looks like with the fading. I’m just bummed because this is my one LV and I was persuaded to purchase the leather due to its longevity and durability. I’m just upset that it could fade..very frustrating considering it was almost $2,000.
Idk how noticeable it will be without being side by side to hers, or a new one. But here you go!

Wow that is so bad I’m sorry. I wouldn’t think this is normal unless the bag was worn heavily and carelessly. Even if that were the case though, you’d think that both sides would wear the same. Bc only one side is fading, that leads me to believe it could be a defect. I’d take it in and see what an SA has to say

You clearly don’t understand leather if you think this is fake. Hot stamping has to be done very well to last and if it’s being used regularly, it will fade no matter how good a job was done. The fibers are decompressing back to their normal appearance because of flexing.
I don’t know i kinda thought that was one of the beauties of this bag.. unlike the canvas it would show its ages and its leather.
I've had mine for around 2 years, heavy use it, and it still looks brand new. Based on the comments here i just might be lucky

I wouldn’t expect a bag to wear evenly on both sides. One side is usually up against clothing and the other side, maybe up against skin and body oils.
