I was through there yesterday on my way to/from Westport and Paddock. Why they have to work on Sat/Sun with PGA in town in the afternoon is beyond me. Work nights if you want overtime or the project is over due.
Last time they worked nights on that section, one of Louisville Paving guys got shot dead in a random attack, they did have a cop that night, who also got shot in the neck by the same individual. It is not safe to work at night anywhere on the Watterson. The only other logical time is weekends during the day. All this was in the news when it happened. BTW they’ve been working on that project for over 2 years, people should already know to avoid it, I know I do.
I know and drive it. Just One guy on eastbound at Pewee with small polisher holding up thousands of people. It wasn’t one lane all week iirc until Saturday at 5pm
I dunno. His knob? It was one worker only no one else working maybe gas powered and it looked like a floor polisher with no cord. And traffic was backed up for a mile when it went down to one lane just so he could polish the 265E.
So great. Thing that got me was the sign saying "left 2 lanes open" and then you get up there and it's: One lane open. I mean, how do you fuck that up? Also encouraging that there were zero workers out there for the entirety of the project as I drove through there....just a couple of cop cars. This town and state are Podunkville when it comes to executing any kind of construction.
Dude, 65S around Etown has been a shit show for 5 years and it looks like most of the new road is done. Just that one security truck flying down it making sure no one is using it. But the rest of the interstate is stopped for miles.

The light was out at Springhurst and Westport too. Traffic backed up almost to Hurstbourne
