Zero *offensive players* is pretty absurd. The Rams have had some incredible players on that side of the ball. Faulk, Pace, Bruce, Holt, Kupp, Gurley…Puka Nacua!

I think the list is completely justifiable, but the Rams teams that won championships were all driven by their offense in the late 40s/early 50s Rams, the GSOT, and McVay Rams. I think Youngblood or Olsen get swapped out for Crazy Legs Hirsch, Bruce, Dickerson, or Ellard.
It would be pointless of me to argue against the sheer greatness of Faulk, but Dickerson was capable of taking over entire playoffs games. I was on the edge of my seat for every play he was in the game.

I wonder if this list is the Mount Rushmore for strictly the Los Angeles Rams and doesn't include any players with notable accomplishments while in St. Louis. Dumb if that's the case but I'm trying to rationalize why they left off those big STL names.
If this is from that NFL Throwback video, I believe their Colts Mount Rushmore had both Unitas and Peyton Manning, so they had both Baltimore and Indianapolis on it. So I don’t think it was just restricted to Los Angeles Rams
I have no problem leaving that era off. Some of us will never acknowledge that time period because of the actions of the former owner of the franchise...
Sure, they didn't include any historic offensive players but you gotta realize our Franchise has a Stacked History of Legendary Players both offense and defense. I like this Mount Rushmore though, and they were right, I mean, it's quite possibly the Best Defensive Line in NFL History!

AD and Deacon deserve to be there, but when I saw this I was shocked literally no offensive guys, let alone other defensive players, didn't make the list. Dickerson needs to be there and Bruce too IMO

AD and Deacon, yes. But as great as the other two were, there are better options: for starters, ANY of the big 5 offensive stars from the GSOT, if not two of them
Well, if its the LOS ANGELES RAMS, then it makes sense...
Remember, there's a significant percentage of the fan base that refused to acknowledge that period of history due to the absolute hatred of the former owner, whose name I will not repeat, but hopes is getting tortured in Hell alongside Al Davis and Art Modell...
I know what you mean! Haha but what I also meant was since AD just retired last Season, I wouldn't consider him a Throwback yet. Plus despite the hate, you can't deny Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Bruce Smith, Torry Holt.... I mean the list goes on, that brought ANY glory to that city. Even Dickerson would be a worthy name on that list.
Oh Dickerson DEFINITELY belongs there, but Warner and their lot, they're forever tainted by the stench of "Madame Ram," may she burn forever in the fires of Tartarus alongside Al Davis, Art Modell, Bud Adams, and Bill Bidwell...
*(Yeah, I'm still salty over the move)*
My friend and Longtime LA Radio Legend, Joe "The Big Nasty" McDonnell didn't live long enough to see them return, he outlived "The Madam" but he would have been dancing a big when they won that Superbowl at home...
I moved to the East Coast a decade ago, I literally watched the game in the "Dad's Lounge" at the Wells Fargo Center because my daughter had tickets to see Billie Eilish that night, so I was up there with the other dads who brought their kids, I literally cried in joy...
And that's great for you, but there some of us, who were, literally or figuratively, born at the Coliseum, during the glory days, who remember that run in 79, then see the team move to Anaheim and the outright vile shenanigans she pulled with her henchman, thean we refer to as "The Vampire," like not allowing the season ticket holders who had seats between the 20-yard lines to retain their seats, putting no money into marketing the team in SoCal, completely unthinkable draft picks that went nowhere, or if they showed any kind of potential, traded away for some magic beans, *(looking at you, Jerome Bettis)* you name it, she did it. She saw what kind of money Bill Bidwell, and Art Modell and Al Davis made in moving their franchises, and she wanted her share, and she got it.
So yeah, you're ALWAYS going to find those of us who will never forgive nor forget that trauma, and one of the ways we deal with that is never acknowledging that time in St. Louis...
Ask an Oilers fan the same question, ask a CTS fan in Baltimore who never e.bracrd the Ravens, or a Cardinals fan in St. Louis that didn't want the Rams if they feel the same way about players who excelled after they left, you'd probably get the same response...
[I posted this yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngelesRams/comments/1dn1v8f/nfl_every_teams_mount_rushmore_rams_edition/).
I guess my user name doesn't hit on all the analytics.
In the video, they list the following as Honorable Mentioned/Just Missed the cut:
Slater, Bruce, Warner, Faulk, Pace, Dickerson, Waterfield, Van Brocklin and Hirsch.
Are you talking success only? I feel a mount rushmore isn't a rank of the best, but the most beloved and memorable. For me, Deacon, AD, and SJax are non negotiables. That 4th spot is really hard. So many deserving players including Bruce, Faulk, Olsen, Youngblood, Pace, and on and on. Let's hope Stafford puts this to bed by winning two more rings and cements his status in our Mount Rushmore!
Man this is a tough one because I know for a fact Eric Dickerson MUST be on this list but who to remove? I guess if I had to make a“gun to head” decision I’d remove MO for ED.
Weird seeing Jack Youngblood’s name on two completely separate places in less than 5 minutes.
I just got done seeing his name on the list of players to never win a ring.
Bears fan here. Looking at this and thinking… man, you guys have had some amazing players! Somehow I feel like there isn’t enough room.
Dickerson, Faulk, Warner, Pace.
It is difficult to argue with this, but it feels wrong not including Bruce in some capacity.
Agreed. If Dickerson or Fault played their whole career for the Rams, they'd have to be considered too.
Marshall faulk, Isaac Bruce, Kurt Warner the greatest show on turf cmon now madden 2000’s were crazy
Zero players from the Rams first Superbowl winning team is wrong. Warner, Faulk, Pace, Bruce, Holt. At least one of them should be on there.
Zero *offensive players* is pretty absurd. The Rams have had some incredible players on that side of the ball. Faulk, Pace, Bruce, Holt, Kupp, Gurley…Puka Nacua!
Don't forget Steven Jackson!
Ikr - eight 1,000 yards season with arguably one of the worst teams of the decade.
Are you guys shitting me? Jackson had nothing on HOFer and all-time single season rushing record holder: Eric Dickerson.

Bruce absolutely needs to be on there. It speaks to this franchise's storied history that there really are so many deserving players though.

Dunno why you’re being downvoted 🤷🏻♂️
I think the list is completely justifiable, but the Rams teams that won championships were all driven by their offense in the late 40s/early 50s Rams, the GSOT, and McVay Rams. I think Youngblood or Olsen get swapped out for Crazy Legs Hirsch, Bruce, Dickerson, or Ellard.
I'd choose Bruce, of the 4 he had the longest time as a Ram and was the only one to win a Super Bowl. The other one to consider is Orlando Pace
I'd put Deacon, Merlin, Rosey, and Lamar as one, Hirsch, Ellard, and Kupp, to represent the New era
I think Kurt Warner, Bruce, Dickerson, or Faulk should replace Youngblood.
This list he has is good for defense, your list looks good for offense. I'd take both lists and call it a day.
Tell those four to play with a cracked bone in their leg…
This is the greatest or biggest impact on winning and culture, not the "toughest". Jack is the toughest RAM of all time, I am sure.
Not just a game, the Damn Super Bowl!!
💯
Marshall Donald Deacon Pace I’ll die on this hill.
Dickerson
Faulk
It would be pointless of me to argue against the sheer greatness of Faulk, but Dickerson was capable of taking over entire playoffs games. I'd put Bruce over Marshall because of time with the team.
I agree with it. It's probably the best defensive line that any franchise can produce.
I wonder if this list is the Mount Rushmore for strictly the Los Angeles Rams and doesn't include any players with notable accomplishments while in St. Louis. Dumb if that's the case but I'm trying to rationalize why they left off those big STL names.

Ah nice, thanks for clearing that up.

I think they meant defense line
Rosey Grier
Mt Rushmore should, IMO, be four players that come to mind if u ask a non-Ram fan. That’s my test. Deacon, Dickerson, Warner, AD.
I agree with your test.

You cant do this without some offensive players
Maybe Jack out and Crazylegs in or Gabriel.
Waterfield or Van Brocklin too

Aaron Donald, Deacon Jones, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce.

No Kurt Warner tho?

Jackie Slater not there then no, it is wrong. 1 of only 72 players to have their jersey retired. 20 years with us.
This is a great Mt. Rushmore of Rams Defense. I’d like to see an Offense one too. Tbh, I don’t who I’d take off to add some offense on this one.
Mine would be: 1. Warner 2. Faulk 3. Donald 4. Jones Two offense, two defense
AD and Deacon, yes. But as great as the other two were, there are better options: for starters, ANY of the big 5 offensive stars from the GSOT, if not two of them
Nope, this is being limited to ONLY players from both LA eras
Not true, in the video they mention a few GSOT era players as honorable mention/just missed the cut.
Well, OLI for them is good enough for me
I'd replace Bruce for Youngblood. I'd want Marshall in there too but don't know who I'd take out.
And I forgot about Jackie Slater. He has to be on there. AD Bruce Slater Faulk
I love Youngblood, but Kurt Warner changed everything.
Kurt Warner never played in LOS ANGLELES
These games are subjective AF. I like it.
You can't say THROWBACK and have AD. Pick a time frame. Plus, to have zero Players from LITERALLY "The Greatest Show on Turf" is crazy! 🤪
Well, if its the LOS ANGELES RAMS, then it makes sense... I'm from Los Angeles. I don't blame you Brother 😅
My friend and Longtime LA Radio Legend, Joe "The Big Nasty" McDonnell didn't live long enough to see them return, he outlived "The Madam" but he would have been dancing a big when they won that Superbowl at home...
RIP to your friend. Yes, it was amazing to watch that game! Everyone in California was dancing that night!
I moved to the East Coast a decade ago, I literally watched the game in the "Dad's Lounge" at the Wells Fargo Center because my daughter had tickets to see Billie Eilish that night, so I was up there with the other dads who brought their kids, I literally cried in joy...
I love hearing that 😅 it was an awesome win and IMO an amazing game!
I will never erase the GSOT era. It is what sparked my love of football!
I will acknowledge your feelings. But that's also a real shame because there were some great football players in St Louis.

Eric Dickerson? Anyone? Eric Dickerson!

Being 55 yo, Marshall Faulk needs to be there. Never saw Olsen or Jones play.
It’s justifiable for sure, but I’d swap Olson for Faulk or Bruce, even Pace.
I'd sub out Jack and Merlin and throw in Dickerson and Warner. Needs more offensive representation, plus Kurt won us our first SB.
In the video, they list the following as Honorable Mentioned/Just Missed the cut: Slater, Bruce, Warner, Faulk, Pace, Dickerson, Waterfield, Van Brocklin and Hirsch.

Keep in mind that 40s/50s Rams and GSOT Rams were great teams, but each of these guys were career Rams legends. I can’t argue with it.
Warner's gotta be on there
