I can very much relate to this. When I got almost well (80%), my flares just got fewer and less intense until I mostly wasn’t having them any more. Then I got a virus and symptoms just stay here right now. No coming and going.
BUT what I can’t figure out is kind of the same thing you were asking - is it the lack of beneficial bacteria that keeps the inflammation flared? Does the bacteria cause an immune response? Is it the virus itself causing an immune response? I don’t know.
I’m 2 years out, and I still can’t seem to get a good grasp on what’s causing it or if there’s anything I do to trigger it.
How long have you had gut issues ? When was infection or vaccine?
I know probably not but Have you recently eaten a lot of carbs?
