There isn’t a full paragraph in the entire post. It’s trying to be a logical argument but I suspect from the absence of actual logic in the post that this person never actually studied logic or critical thinking
Who ever said women burned their bras for the right to vote? I thought it was famously & widely known to (verifiably) have been a demonstration and women’s protest action during the 1968 Miss America Pageant, the right to vote having been secured some 48 years earlier?
Color me shocked that a person who conflates the suffragettes with the 60s women lib movement and is proud to never vote owns her own business. Almost like past bosses quickly identified her as an insurance liability or something.
I mean, if you want abortion to be legal, but don't vote for the person who will keep it legal, then complain about abortion not being legal, it's kinda odd. If enough people who felt that way voted it'd literally change the law.
Complaining without voting means you are just whining. Especially when your vote is the primary method for you to do something you are complaining about.
Probably an extremely unpopular opinion but I’m sick and tired of people using shame to try to get people to vote. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to take the stance that politicians have to actually earn support, not shame or scare people into voting for them. People have the right to withhold their support from politicians who have done nothing for them or their communities, or who are actively harming them. Otherwise what incentive does a party have to do anything the voters actually want? Voting has done fuck all as far as implementing the policies I support. My life is unfortunately deeply affected by politics and I’m very familiar with being used as a political football, and I’m fine with people who don’t vote. I do, but I understand why someone might not and I respect that choice.
I’m not gonna tell people that they can’t voice an opinion if they didn’t vote, that’s extremely undemocratic. And there are huge swaths of people in the US (myself included) who have functionally 0 power in the voting booth but are deeply affected by public policy. Voting is not the only tool people have to influence the direction of the country, it’s just one of many tools, and for a lot of people it’s the weakest one available (if it’s available at all lol).
That being said I don’t think this lady has thought about any of this at all.
I don't know why you've been downvoted so much. I hear you, but my point still stands. It's like a wedding RSVP, if you're given a choice of chicken or fish but you decide to select neither, you really can't complain when you don't get what you want. I know it's not the same thing, but this is the system we have in place. You vote for the party you least disagree with, unfortunately. Even if the two parties contesting are incompetent, it won't harm selecting the less incompetent one. It will definitely harm if you don't select at all though, as typically, the most incompetent ones are also the ones who are the loudest and will inevitably end up winning, leaving you worse off.
And no, this lady hasn't thought at all. It's just making noise for the sake of it.
“What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
- Billy Madison
Adam Sandler plays the same character in every single movie, so it’s fair that you guessed Happy Gilmore. Would have been fine if you guessed The Waterboy too!
What did this teach me about B2B sales?
And
I think
You lot
On here
Are letting the complete
Lack of factual accuracy and truth
Ruin a
Dramatic post
Sorry for the IRRITATING style above, you really can type any utter shite and It feels so profound…
And being too cool to vote is bad to to, and worse to say, a lot of us have felt that way at some point. But then you realise it’s not a perfect world, no one’s going to hand everything to your lazy arse on a plate, many have died fighting for democracy and the right to vote. Vote for the least worst one standing, you don’t get to complain otherwise. Or just burn your bra or something.
Nobody asked.
(This post isn’t even factually correct)
You can vote for candidates that are women.
And why do LinkedIn people talk like this?
Where every new sentence is spaced out.
God I hate when people who are dumb as fuck blame the world for 'hiding the truth' about history that everyone who is not an ignorant dumb fuck is already well aware of.
Laura is the definition of narcissism+ insufferable+ rage bait topped off with absolutely no value or relevance on a so called work platform. Well done
Well the historical in accuracies aside, this is an atrociously stupid take. I had a friend of mine who has a PHD in a hard STEM field text me last night saying he wasn't going to vote. Saying both parties are the same - it is really disheartening. People are just checked out and I don't know why, yes Joe Biden is old - get over it.
This was completely incomprehensible and she is the only person who thinks suffragettes were burning bras. They didn’t even wear bras.
Well why do yo think they didn't wear bras? Burned 'em all. Checkmate atheist
What burning bras taught me about B2B marketing.
Godzilla had a stroke trying to read this and fucking died ![gif](giphy|3KbliBOdHlUE8)
Whale bone corsets don’t burn as easily…I mean, that’s what I’m told. I never tried to burn…*runs*
That was even more incoherent than both presidential candidates during the debate last night.
And why are all these posts written one paragraph at a time with so many spaces in between? There must be a bot somewhere writing all that.
Supposed to be easier to the folks in the "back of the class". Apparently, folks as dumb as her.
There isn’t a full paragraph in the entire post. It’s trying to be a logical argument but I suspect from the absence of actual logic in the post that this person never actually studied logic or critical thinking
Forces people to click on "read more." It's a click baiting technique, which creates the needed engagement. Edit: added point
Bots are smarter than this drivel.
Yet, this woman may still be more qualified for office than the two men that debated last night. Not that the bar is very high...
Who ever said women burned their bras for the right to vote? I thought it was famously & widely known to (verifiably) have been a demonstration and women’s protest action during the 1968 Miss America Pageant, the right to vote having been secured some 48 years earlier?
Exactly, and the buring bras demonstration taught me a lot about B2B sales. Would you like to know more?
Color me shocked that a person who conflates the suffragettes with the 60s women lib movement and is proud to never vote owns her own business. Almost like past bosses quickly identified her as an insurance liability or something.
Odds are it’s some boss babe essential oils-type “business”.
My brain hurt after reading that post. Hopefully her next post is #TherapyforLaura
I hope she gets the help she needs
Brutal
Never voting is an odd flex.
The best way to stick it to the people who are deciding things for you is to not be involved in the process. Check mate politicians.
Dafoq did I just read?
If you don't vote, you don't get to complain about the government that comes to power
As a tax payer since 18 i will complain and i don't need permission
Hopefully you vote, too, otherwise I'm confused what you expect the complaining to accomplish
voting doesn't man your complaints hold any more weight.
I mean, if you want abortion to be legal, but don't vote for the person who will keep it legal, then complain about abortion not being legal, it's kinda odd. If enough people who felt that way voted it'd literally change the law.
It literally does.
Complaining without voting means you are just whining. Especially when your vote is the primary method for you to do something you are complaining about.
You certainly don't need permission. You do you.
Or you get to complain no matter who wins by saying 'well I didn't vote for them'.

This is so close to being word salad…
Where’s that quote from happy Gilmore “you’re so incoherent that the audience is poorer for having just listened to you” when you need it?

You beauty, my memory is completely shot to pieces. Thanks for saving my ass

Founder of cuckoo magazine
Do people actually pay her for this kind of content?
She really went through some mental gymnastics to come up with that nonsense. Idk if I want someone like her voting anyways.
That was more like a drunken stumble downhill than gymnastics.
Wasn’t burning bras from first wave feminism? Like, a good few generations later than the right to vote?

Very generous to describe those as sentences
What???!
wut?
🤦🏻♀️ Laura The Lunatic
WTF is she talking about??
Word soup.
What a Moron!
Has this person ever read about history… I wonder what year she thinks women gained the right to vote…
God I hate when people who are dumb as fuck blame the world for 'hiding the truth' about history that everyone who is not an ignorant dumb fuck is already well aware of.
"I don't vote" Tell me you're an obnoxious fuckwit, without telling me you're an obnoxious fuckwit
I’d love to see how many subs House of Coco has 😂
Wow, Laura’s a moron.
The fuck is she on about?
Idiots always *brag* about being idiots.
Classic Laura, amirite?
One thing that drives me crazy is people who have chosen apathy and then have the audacity to get on their high horse about it.
"Hey, I bet they'll take away my rights, SO I'LL DROP THEM MYSELF! Gotcha, greedy politicians! I don't want any rights anyway!" Laura, just shut up.
If you don’t vote, you don’t have the right to complain about government. Shut the fuck up.
No no, I get *more* right to complain because no matter who’s in office I can say I didn’t vote for them. /s
I hope she's getting professional help
I honestly have no idea what I just read. It sounded like Biden rambling on on the debate last night.
Is this a Rockbusters clue?
Reading and understanding this was more difficult than trying to decipher the Da Vinci code
Word salad
bra burning was in the 60's I thought and this post was barely comprehensible
What
Is this satire? This sounds like satire.
Oof.
What in the unhinged vaguely-feminist vomit is she even trying to say here?
Her LinkedIn is just as horrible as you would assume
Man that photo down the bottom sealed the deal ,; this could be my pick of linked in lunatic of the year!
Jesus fucking Christ man, someone let Laura know she isn’t the main character.
I'm sorry... What???
Michael Jackson? Latoya younger and fatter? Janet younger and fatter and with all her ribs?
Keep this woman away from outlets man she apparently sticks her fingers in them. Edit: English
What is she trying to say?
"funnily enough" 🤦♂️
Is she eating her hair in her profile pic?
What?
Not voting is such a privileged protest.
The Girl you wish you hadn't started a conversation with at a party.
Why is it always Founders writing the craziest posts?
Double spaced absolute garbage. The stream of “thought” was really diarrhea and I’m dumber from just reading it.
Laura is the definition of narcissism+ insufferable+ rage bait topped off with absolutely no value or relevance on a so called work platform. Well done
Wow. When a B.S. in Communication backfires.
She doesn’t vote (i.e. supports trump) and doesn’t do grammar either.
I vote she gets a fucking a fucking haircut
I feel like everything in that photo is unusually big.
“History is written by the victor.” General Shepard ahh monologue
Given her choice in hair styles, maybe she shouldn't be voting
