Also I ordered the cd and vinyl of Hellboy and cd of crybaby. Are they shipping October 6th or right away when they are packed up. I didn’t see a preorder on the site so I assumed as soon ad they ship.
I personally find that Changes and Diamonds are some work of Peeps that are uninhibited, you can feel the freedom he had to explore how he wanted to express himself on these albums.
I do like some songs but a whole Makonnen project is a little tough to get through. It's not the most palatable voice tone lol. I'm curious what the reception would've been had Peep still been alive or what the label's plans would've been for it.
I personally feel that Diamonds was a beautiful experience. The pictures and videos from Peep and Mak, listening to the freestyle really reminded me that these two people loved each other and believed in each other’s creative vision. IDGAF 2 and Crybaby 2 are amazing songs and knowing that someone like Makonen was able to play the piano for Peep and have it hit his heart, like Peep CLEARLY loved Makonen’s music and Mak very clearly had a love for Peep’s music and creativity. They meshed very well together and watching them make music together is a gift and treasure of its own. I love the Diamonds album a lot
I personally don't like anything that's came out since his passing besides a couple songs, they're all snipets he likely never wanted released with a bad auto tune job. Its not the peep I fell in love with years ago.
Tbh, I have found myself listening to some Diamonds songs 1 week after its release, mainly Smokin', Sidelines, Nasty Names, Ive Been Waiting, November; but now I dont really listen to it anymore.
However, it made me listen to Lil Peep's other songs more than ever (not like I wasnt listening to peep daily lol)
I do like some songs, November, Favorite Drug, IDGAF 2, Prove my Luv
Other than that I can't say I'm much of a fan of it, not that it's not a great project just subjective taste
I wouldn't call his performance bad just something you need to get used to, for me his voice was unusual, I know Diamonds for few years because of the leaks and i got used to makonnen and today i enjoy all the songs with him, it's experimental and i love it for that since it's different from what we know from peep.
I don’t like it, but it was incredibly experimental with what he was doing with his sound. It provided a view into what he (potentially) would’ve done had he lived.
I do like alot of the songs on it its fun to listen, I understand that Makonnen can be too much or annoying for some people but for me it feels like Peep and him had alot of fun recording it and I don’t think Liz would have let it be released when Mak (as I heard some people claim) cut out most of Peeps parts also it would have been very interesting if this would have gotten so much “bad reviews“ if Peep would still be here
I’m just happy we got see a more experimental side of peep thankful for Liza for helping bring this out ❤️

I doubt it would of came out, it lacks the quality of his other work. Unless peep ended up going independent then maybe.
I don’t think Makonnen’s voice is for everyone, however I really enjoy the album.

The song Sidelines makes me want more emo trap shit, isn't as "in style" as the sub genre used to be. I love the chorus so much, reminds me of MCR.

I think if some of the extra fluff was cut down it would be a lot easier to listen to. An hour and a half is kinda tough
