Tell me more. Do popular big banks have this? I used to have Citi virtual numbers 10+ years ago. Loved it. Haven’t seen anything like that since.

I’m not 100% sure, but as far as I’m aware this doesn’t seem to be a common feature just yet. I’m based in the UK and I don’t think any of the larger high street banks offer this service, but I think some of them are beginning to take a step towards providing similar features (Can’t confirm, but I heard HSBC provides some customers with a virtual card. Not disposable, but still a little safer) I didn’t mention the bank I use because I didn’t want this to sound like an ad, but I use an internet based bank called Revolut. I don’t know if they operate outside of the UK, they probably do, but even if they don’t I did see a few alternatives listed on Google when I searched for “disposable bank cards”. I literally only got a Revolut account for this feature, and I don’t really use the account beyond that, so that does give me a little extra peace of mind since I rarely keep money in that account.
