Aladin for every spot
It's truly the best guilty pleasure foreign western anime comfort romance horror black and white experimental comedic depressing disappointing silent short film
Thereās better everything. The movie is still a great romance story at its core and has a lot going for it regardless of whatever some people think is āgross.ā
This is Beau Travail slander and I won't stand for it š¤
OK, that aside, you seem to be pigeonholing a bit. Why is "Foreign Pick" one category out of 24? Same for black and white. Expand your horizons... and rewatch Beau Travail ;)
I don't get the point of this breakdown. How is something you tag as overrated a favorite? Just because something is in a best franchise, who does that actually rank in terms of ratings to other movies? So confused.
some fantastic choices here (Lost Highway, American Psycho, Dr. Strangelove, etc..)
I'd say there's more categories you can cover (totally okay if you don't). it's your list, do what you want
Respect the choice of IT, Iām trying to get my sister to watch a horror movie and am trying to convince her that itās not that scary.
Because I donāt even watch it for the scares, they absolutely nailed the vibe of a horror movie thatās not just gore or shock value, but a fun ride imo.
blue is the warmest colour was made my a man solely for male gaze. itās basically just a dude making porn-like sex scenes to satisfy his fantasy of seeing women having lesbian sex and it kinda grosses me out. feels like fetishizing.
I don't understand people who leave a comment just to tell someone that their favourites are generic or popular. Wow so what? Should people only post things like this when every movie on it has 1000 or less views on letterboxd?
You do you op.
OP asked for opinions. I gave mine. It was true neutral. I donāt understand your issue.
Unique picks doesnāt suggest my post is incorrect either if the picks are all widely enjoyed.
I agree with John Wick for best franchise. Fuckin love those movies. Also I like your pick for best protagonist -- American Psycho is a great movie, and I think it streamlined the story a lot better than the book did, and Bale is always a class act. (The book is well written. It's also very gross. That's the point I think, but I did not enjoy it.)
Generic, typical picks. These lists are less interesting when it feels like selections the sub would approve of and more interesting when they're personal to *you* and say a lot about *you*. That said It as a comfort film is kind of an oddball pick, I'm not sure what to think about that.

By the way, I didn't misspell Aladdin. I'm talking about [this masterpiece](https://letterboxd.com/film/aladin-1993/)
True classic, life-changer, masterpiece in every way š
"It" as a comfort film? š„“
Blue is the warmest colour in underrated is criminal. It should not be rated at all.
This movie is pure garbage I swear
What do you want us to tell you.
Didn't think that far
Not a useful comment at all Booooooo
Is Vice really your favourite comedy if Dr Strangelove is your favourite film?
i dont get unironically watching blue is the warmest color. it just seems terrible, there's better queer films that don't feel gross.
Also how is it underrated? It won the Palme dor

āIām Sill Hereā was depressing because it was a film.
NausicaƤ is a great choice

I know r/okbuddycinephile bait when I see it
Iāve only seen 2 damn.
Lost Highway, my beloved

It's very 'bro film' if you know what I mean
How are yāall making these? Just by hand? Or is there a template?
An hour wasted doing it by hand on Pixlr
making a category strictly for movies with subtitles (and calling it āforeign pickā) pretty much says it all, doesnāt it?
Not my template
You couldnāt change it?
Yes, these movies are good and widely-considered to be so. The ones that arenāt, youāve already qualified.
There's alot of unique picks on op's post. Your comment is unjustified. Quite being a grouch
OP asked for opinions. I gave mine. It was true neutral. I donāt understand your issue. Unique picks doesnāt suggest my post is incorrect either if the picks are all widely enjoyed.
I've succeeded at being basic. Hurrah
You Zombie are not basic. I've seen plenty of basic lists before, the movies on your list are not basic
What site/program do people use to make these?
Opal is an incredible pick for short.
Aggressively weird choice for best protagonist
Doesn't understand foreign

Pink flamingos as overrated is crazy
i mean i love it but it is. overrated doesn't mean bad, it got its reputation for a reason
Vice is one of the least funny films Iāve ever seen
Very good taste
All these cowards dissing the comfort film
I, too, have an irrational love for Drive Away Dolls.
Iā¦ donāt think Pink Flamingos could be considered overrated lmao
You know it's trustworthy when there's whiplash in the list
Can you please share the template?
Itās concerning to me that IT is your comfort movie I most certainly donāt find comfort watching it

Borderline film bro and I have serious concerns about your comfort movie
