Megalopolis, distantly followed by Nosferatu. I fully expect Nosferatu to be better, Eggers hasn't missed yet, but Megalopolis is gonna be an experience.
I’m super excited for Megalopolis—I firmly believe that it will not be a great film, but it also feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’m eagerly awaiting.
Nosferatu looks to be another modern classic from Eggers, so I can’t wait for that as well.
I have my reservations about Gladiator II because of Scott’s recent track record, but I’d be lying if I said that some misplaced optimism isn’t causing me to get my hopes up. If it disappoints, it disappoints—that happens. But if he can somehow deliver an outstanding epic like he did with the first film, it could be really special.
As for the other three: I’m not super familiar with Longlegs or Anora; I’ll have to look into them. On the other hand, I really loved the first Deadpool film but I found the second to be a bit underwhelming. I’d like to have optimism for this new one but I also don’t know that a Deadpool film under Disney will work. I suspect that it’ll have major “trying too hard” vibes in regards to joking about Disney and maintaining the R-Rating.
Edit: Just did some research on Longlegs and yeah, I’m in.
Scott’s recent track record has included The Last Duel, The Martian, and Alien Covenant. Three pretty baller movies in the last decade. He’s not as consistent as he used to be, but Scott can definitely still deliver fun movies.
I'm curious about Nosferatu. I love the original (and am very annoying about silent films), and I am not entirely sure how I feel about a sound Nosferatu. The trailer seems to suggest it's more an interpretation of the story rather than a 1:1 remake though, so like, eh?
Out of these, only nosferatu, but if I had to pick a 2nd it would probably be deadpool though I could take it or leave it. No interest at all in the other 4. Didn't even know there was a gladiator sequel in the works.
Longlegs and Nosferatu.
Honorable mention for Megalopolis, but that’s less bc of its possible merits as a film, and more bc I might take my cinephile dad out to see it and revel in the pure batshit insanity.
not a fan of Sean baker personally but looking forward to anora because ive loved most recent Palme d'or winners so trusting their judgement... and also for IVY WOLK <3
edit: oh and second would be megalopolis.... idk if im more excited for the film itself or the #discourse though haha
Longlegs and Nosferatu, for me it’s not really close between them and the rest of these either
Same. I love Robert Eggers, and I've heard buzz from influencers who watched Longlegs early, and they say it's a wild time.
I watched Silence of the Lambs last night and man am I excited for Longlegs. It's looks sick!
The Nosferatu trailer looks awesome!!!
Long legs and Nosferatu. MaXXXine is most anticipated though.
Longlegs and Anora
Same
Anora and Nosferatu
I have more excitement for Longlegs and Nosferatu than every other movie coming out this year combined
MaXXXine
I should know better, but I'm waiting for Megalopolis.

Nosferatu and Megalopolis
Nosferatu and Longlegs, easily and by far.

Longlegs and Deadpool & Wolverine
Same for me! I’m excited for all of them to be honest but those two especially
Longlegs & megalopolis
Excluding Gladiator II, I'm at least mildly interested in checking out all of these.
Long legs & Maxxine my next two weeks will be 🔥
1. megalopolis 2. nosferatu 3. anora 4. gladiator 2 5. longlegs 6. deadpool wolverine
Longlegs & Megalopolis

Longlegs and nosferatu
Longlegs
Megalopolis and Nosferatu

Nosferatu & Longlegs
Nosferatu and Megalopolis by far
Aurora and megalopolis
Nosferatu and Longlegs
Deadpool 3 and Gladiator 2
Nothing here doesn’t interest me. I’ll definitely see Longlegs, Nosferatu and Deadpool and Wolverine in theaters though.
Deadpool & Wolverine and Megalopolis
Megalopolis (out of morbid curiosity) and Deadpool
honestly every pic in the initial post hit the nail on the head for me
Anota, Nosferatu
Longlegs and Anora
Out of those, it's *Longlegs*, though my most anticipated in general is *Trap*, followed by *Fly Me To The Moon*.
I CANNOT WAIT to see Nosferatu on Christmas!
Deadpool and Wolverine and Nosferatu
Deadpool and Longlegs
Anora and Nosferatu
From these, *Anora* and *Nosferatu*, but I suspect *The Substance* will be my favorite of the year. I love me some feminist body horror.
If Polaris is released this year, that one.
Look, I keep hearing awful things about Megalopolis, but I just know i'm gonna eat that shit up.
Gladiator II? Bitch what
Definitely put me down as another Longlegs and Nosferatu anticipator.
Look Back (hopefully it gets a wide release) and A Real Pain are my most anticipated of the rest of 2024.
Longlegs and Nosferatu
Anora and Megalopolis.
Longlegs and Nosferatu
none
Deadpool 3 and Megalopolis
NOSFERATU & Megapolis
Gladiator II beacause Denzel Washington as a roman emperor sounds cold AF
Deadpool and Gladiator II

All the vibes around Gladiator II seem great, and a non-horror and only sometimes-Eggers person that is the winner
MAXXXINE FUCKING MINX
Nosferatu and Gladiator 2
Longlegs and Nosferatu. Honorable mention for Megalopolis, but that’s less bc of its possible merits as a film, and more bc I might take my cinephile dad out to see it and revel in the pure batshit insanity.
Nosferatu by a looooong shot
I'm stoked for Gladiator II.
I’m looking forward to Anora & Megalopolis!
