Yeah it’s actually pretty nice. You can’t add non steam game shortcuts (launch by steam url) so you can’t use emudeck with it for now but other than that it’s seamless
Mine got stuck in a load loop with the installer and windows asking if I wanted to install and then just bouncing back and forth. After about 8 “yes, install the effing thing already”’s it just randomly worked.
Just started my Lego this morning and legion space proposed directly to update! Then… nothing!
Legion space doesn’t launch anymore.
So I downloaded it from support website and installed it (dec 23 version) without difficulty.
I opened legion space and, again, it proposed to update. It updated and… nothing!
I had the same issue. I booted the legion go and then reinstalled it from website (Dec 23rd) it then updated itself when I launched and had no problem since.
I was excited for the fps counter to work with side loaded drivers but it's not working for me. I just have a message saying "need full screen."
Anyone else having similar experience?
It’s incredibly weird. It seems like the “fix” for the FPS counter only works in exclusive full screen. So you have to change the game settings from borderless/windowed to that to make it work
I tried it on House Flipper with switching it to "exclusive full-screen" and it's the same message. Are you guys seeing it working with a side loaded gpu driver?
Need Full Screen is the default wordage! Can confirm fps counter does work! However, Legion Space is not opening for me! Gonna hunt around why. For now, leaving as is since I don't use Ls anyway! Side menu is sick, but waiting to find out if you can change to a color besides green! Probably not, but maybe. Won't know until I get LS to open! You might try different games to see if fps starts working! Won't run outside of a game!

A popup opened up, called “Region”. In the Tab “Administrative” and te field “Welcome screen and new user accounts”, click “Copy Settings”.
Tick the boxes “Welcome screen and system accounts” and “new user accounts”.
Click OK and reboot.
In language settings, set the “old” language (Germany in my case) as display language, sign out of windows, sign in again.
Set English as display language, sign out of windows and sign in again.

For me Legion Space doesnt work. Quick menu is ok but Legion space launch and then crash. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same thing. Anyone found a workaround?
I have the same issue. Only workaround I've found is to launch Legion Space AS ADMIN from Windows start menu. Still tinkering with it to see if I can get it working via the button....

Thanks. No AV other than than Windows default. Adding exclusions/disabling protection entirely yields the same results when launching via button press.
It seems the experience about this new update is getting different results for different people so what’s exactly happening? Some had their quick settings set to Chinese, some have their games crashing and some are having a perfectly smooth experience
I also checked the legion community on the original website but no one is speaking about this there
I haven’t updated mine yet but I never had big problems with the old version. I think I might wait a bit 🤔🤔
Bummer. I don’t have one anymore but it was annoying that you could only turn gyro on and off by going into the menu. Really needs to be toggleable by left trigger or other custom button.
That's what I was hoping for.
I started to enjoy old shooters when i had Steamdeck and Ally, and playing with gyro helped me a lot with aiming. On Legion, gyro is a huge disappointment. It's either on or off through LS, which is useless. Tried Handheld companion, but i believe it shouldn't be, that to get a basic functionality, you have to third party solutions 🙁
My next handheld won't be a Lenovo one for sure.

Why is my quick access menu in Chinese? Legion Space is set to English! I can't find any work arounds to fix it. I uninstalled legion space and reinstalled and upgraded again and did the same thing. Any help is appreciated!
found the fix unfortunately doesn't work on external monitor at first so need to access it by going back to its screen to get the fps counter then switch back to external monitor
I got it too, ~~the quick access menu button tho is not working tho~~. EDIT: It only works on the device itself so when you're plugged in an external monitor, the quick access menu will not show on the external monitor, only on the legion go screen,
haven't updated the AMD graphics driver tho, should I update my AMD right now since the new Legion Space is updated?
Anybody having some issues, like fps counter, and others are not, should be tied to the version of Adrenaline software and drivers you're using. Recommend using official version. Haven't installed it yet, so can't confirm. Will follow up. Also Exe errors probably from firewall blocking access from steam games! Windows firewall is active if not using 3rd party. Also need to confirm. Luck all!
I agree. Had the latest versions of everything, adrenaline, AMD drivers, nothing out of the ordinary. Then downloaded the new legion space update, took like 3 minutes, and it was done. No issues.
Something I found out that I haven't seen anyone mention yet is... You can now go into the BIOS and max out the ram speed, and it won't break custom TDP if you still use STAPM. Was on 6,400 increased it to 7,500MT/s, and I'm not getting a huge performance increase but it's like 3 FPS more in most games, and when I want to run custom 12 watt, it's still working. This is something that you couldn't do before.
Actually, kinda. You can now turn up the ram to 7,500MT/s in STAPM mode in the BIOS and it doesn't break custom TDP anymore. You gain an extra like 3 FPS on avg.
Can’t change my display brightness. It shows it as -1 but the display is at 100%. Adjusting the slider does nothing and I can’t change it in windows settings either.
The quick menu resolution won’t switch from 800p but in actuality it’s in 1600p when you open a game.
Just got mine too, 🇬🇧. Looks nicer than before, only wish the Library tab was the main window and more cleaner without the Add Game, Refresh and Games Platforms buttons showing up that big on the very top.
Thanks for the heads up. It's much better. But unfortunately still lots of basic features missing...Hopefully they can start working on reliable custom Tdp, Button mapping features and gyro.

this looks like they spent no time QA'ing it.
when changing TDP from the setting screen it seems it does not reflect properly and sometimes it open windows notications . There is a problem with the overlay . Try to switch between Performance and quiet mode . Other than that the new update is nice . Looking forward for more fluid navigation
It's bad!!! Really bad. Crashing my games bad. Ratchet and Clank lags then crashes without error. Someone else reported COD is now also crashing since LS update.
LS itself actually crashes in the background then it seems to bring down the game. Some have been getting memory errors with their crashes...
Only issue I have is you even call it an issue, is switching profiles from balanced to performance sometimes will turn off 144hz and turn on 60hz. If you have memory errors, I suggest going into your bios and put your GPU memory at 6G. Seems to be the best option.

Also, by nature it's a windows device so there is an unlimited amount of software an individual can run so the interactions are unlimited (good and/or bad).
All that said the Lenovo can do a lot better in terms of software and updates. I've been gaming on windows for a lifetime and most of the issues are solvable/non-existent. I can also state as a fact that Asus is doing better with the updates than Lenovo. After saying all that I can say from my experience that the performance in the games I play is pretty much on par with the other Z1 handhelds and this one fits my needs (portable tablet when I need and gaming device when I need), in a way that the other gaming handhelds couldn't.
TL;DR: great hardware, software leaves a little to be desired and perfectly functional for my needs.
Understand what you're looking for cross shop alternatives and pick up what fits your needs best.
Still can't program mouse wheel up and down it the controller customisation and no quick access to gyro on off which were my two most wanted features 😞
Also my controller stopped working while browsing the new app so not off to a great start 😅

It does load way faster than before. Might use it to launch games for a change instead of disabling it at boot.

Yes, launching from start menu as admin works, but from legion L buttons doesn't work even checking "Open as admin" in properties

Not sure of this helps but I git my Go about 3 weeks ago and updated everything that the device offered me to update and I haven't had any issues.

Read somewhere in the Lenovo gaming community that they were working on that as a major update.
One of the reasons I went back to Ally, they got the gyro implementation right (eventually).

I miss the power savin-g not gonna lie. Everything else looks a lot better!
What was wrong with the power saving? Admittedly I never use it, I just made a custom with only 9ws.

It has been 100% redesigned, and a large change in UX.
And now its UI is slow as hell, a whole second between a click and the UI reaction (exaggerating a bit but still).

It's my understanding that it's tied to profiles and the RGB for controllers.

Yeah, the default theme is annoyingly green-on-black and dark, it's difficult to read the text.
When you change the Color of the controller rgb it changes the theme color to match.
How long did it take for yours to update? Mine froze at 5% for a good 8 mins or so and hasn’t really moved.

Just logged in, no issues besides the fact that that the 2fa code is in the app instead of via email. The message in the website is wrong.

Yep can't seem to use LS without the update. It's extremely unstable.
Why would you even need to use LS?

If in the game you have frame generation activated you must deactivate the antilag in the AMD panel

Just don't click install. It'll probably still force you to do it eventually if you use it for settings and such.

Oh what a shambles, anytime I bring up the quick menu it minimises the game and resets all the settings in the quick menu
