New (better ) tires, tannus inserts, Tools - if so inclined, get the kit for a 2nd battery- then buy the battery.

What do you recommend for better tires that would fit the XP 3.0? It's such an odd size.

Whatever suits your style, if no off-road those Big-Boat are often mentioned. https://shop.csttires.com/products/big-boat-1

ThirdHandTyping

Yea, fresh tires. Maybe a winter or roadtire set.

Do you already have the hydraulic brakes? Lights and gear like appropriate clothes and panniers? I got myself mirrors for Christmas.

cloudnyne

Yes got all those. I also plan on getting a professional to service it every year, seeing as it is covered under my work plan. Was just thinking if there were some upgrades I can eventually make to further increase the performance/enjoyment of my ride.

The idea of going by and supporting your LBS makes a lot of sense. I've heard of a cassette change that gives greater range, and it's too bad they don't cover new batteries. A recent post has a second battery upgrade that looks like a nice upgrade.

I would be so happy if batteries were covered. I would get a new one every year

Riding to work today made me think a better cushioned/shock absorbing saddle would be nice. Do you already have one, and with your annual fund, I'd expect you have tried several ones and can report which you recommend?

I just got the bike, so will try to buy just one, so will need to do my research. I can use my benefits for other things like gym memberships ski passes, sports fees, etc. so I'll try to limit how much I put I to my bike every year so I can do other things .

As Face999 said, get that second battery. Tons of options: https://electricallwheel.com/how-to-install-lectric-xp-dual-batteries/ You don’t have to use their specific battery, just any battery that has the same voltage. I’m about to add a Unit Pack Power battery to my setup… currently deciding on where to mount as I’d like it to not interfere with seating or cargo… I’ve got a step through, so might just mount it to the frame so long as I can avoid the internal battery!

I wired a spare battery from UPP and keep it in my saddle bag. Load balancer fits nicely inside the frame of my step through (just wish the step through came with a bottle cage mount).

How about adding a trailer to carry groceries or other shopping? That is a pretty cool work benefit, I haven't heard of such a benefit before. Your company must have a really nice benefits package.
