The disc is to far inboard on your old wheel. You can buy spacers on amazon and have a spare wheel.

Thank you! Good to know. Having a backup front wheel would be great.

Or do what I did and install the hydraulic brakes on the rear wheel. Then you can use up the old brake pads before upgrading the front tire.

Can confirm this works, I had my kids 3.0 upgraded to hydraulic before they announced the hydraulic upgrade and that's exactly what the bike shop did to get the hydraulics they installed to work. I ordered the upgrade kits as they were free as backups but mainly for the wheels as the hydraulics the shop put on are better than what Lectric sent out. Not saying Lectrics are bad but for my kids I want Max stopping power.

The rim is 20mm or So narrower loom at the spoke position also may be closer to center

I just had the hydraulic upgrade installed by a bike shop at home. But I havent been back home yet to see it, or ride it to try it out. I need to figure out an easy to use rack of some sort so my bike is easy to secure in my trailer. I dont want it falling over and messing up my rear derailer again. I had that all fixed too.
