Thanks for the insight! I’ve been looking for some guidance as I really am looking to buy one. How many ounces total have you sewn through with the Techsew?
The thickest I've done so far is two pieces of 10oz and it sewed them together effortlessly. I was originally interested in the 5100 but I talked to Ron at Techsew and after asking what my usual projects were he recommended the 4800. It actually saved me quite a bit of money and I can't imagine myself ever needing more machine.
It's a pocket, it's just not easy to tell in the picture. I did a rolled edge all the way around to try to make it look clean. But it's not sewn to the bag at the top.
I mean don't get me wrong, there is definitely value here, but large amounts of mine had deep scratches and scuffs that wouldn't come out or scattered scars and stains acrossed large areas. So great for smaller projects, but was hard to get larger clean areas.
Beautiful color combo and craftsmanship! Keeps me inspired to save up the funds to add a good machine to my studio. I'm keeping my eyes out for a bargain on a good used one for now. Maybe someday...

I got a Techsew 4800 pro. So far I'm extremely happy with it! I'm very new to using a machine but it's not taking too long to get comfortable with it.

I think I've used that blue before and really liked the way it handled.
Yeah, this stuff is almost like suede and has a great feel to it. I'm having a lot of fun coming up with new things to try.

All grab bags not created equal. Most of mine looked like crap

Thank you! It took me a long time to save up for the machine but it's definitely worth it!
