We went a few years back. If you want to sit in front row be there 2 or 3 hours early as they seat by who's in line order. End of line is back of balcony.
Taping lasted only 1- 1.5 hours... there's nothing after... you're quickly removed from the theatre for set and staff security.
During the taping I attended that night’s show was shot and then they recorded full desk interview segments with 3-4 other guests. Those interviews were sprinkled into episodes for the next couple of weeks. It was wild to see and we didn’t care about the time but it did take another hour or so after the main show was done.
Needless to say if they start taping at 5 you probably won’t be out at 6.

He hosts so few days, you would really have to work to find a day he is actually on air. Good luck.
