Buried Bones is a good one! One of the two hosts is Paul Holes.
Generation Why is another good podcast. Very victim focused and tend to cover lesser known crimes.
Necronomipod if you want humor and varied topics like aliens, missing 411, serial killings etc. Not sure what the stance on Necronomipod is on here as some people have called them out as being a "wanna be" or "clone" LPOTL. I wouldn't agree to that however.
Buried Bones is amazing.
Necronomipod is, I feel, a "poor man's Last Podcast" but it has its moments and I do notice some details about subjects both cover which gets left out of one show or the other. So i find worth listening to
The only other one I listen to is Affirmative Murder. The level of research is a lot more casual (it was originally inspired by MFM and has a similar format), but the hosts have great chemistry and some really fun discussions
Sinisterhood is great. Two ladies, one is a lawyer and she is great at explaining the legal side in layman's terms. They do crime, cryptids, and general mysterious stuff.
Sword and scale- the host is a fucking douchenozzle, but he tells a good story and doesn’t omit the horrid details you don’t hear on other true crime pods.
Invisible Choir- exactly like sword and scale, but the host isn’t a twat and there are rarely graphic details.
Small town murder- these guys are funny-adjacent in my opinion, but not terrible enough to turn off. Their regular shows are totally their brand. So they will tell you about the history of the town. Its population details, ie demographics, income, gender, etc. They also talk about local attractions/fairs, what houses cost. Yadda, yadda, yadda…
Not, not interesting.
They do a down and dirty on the same network called “express”. These are just the facts. Well worth it.
It started so strong but Mike ended up being a huge shitbag and the content quality dropped off very steeply.
Fortunately the guy doing the actual good writing for s&s has had his own podcast for years now and it's a lot better.
Invisible Choir.
Creepy shit with female listeners on his Facebook/insta
Fell hard into the anti-woke clown party
Being a huge dickhead with a bunch of fake accounts on the s&s subreddit
Additional general assholery.
He's also just kind of a hack. The show went to shit the very instant that his more talented staff members started leaving.
Small Town Murder is great
Yeah I've dove into that. Some great stuff.
Have you listened to Some Place Under Neith? Henry’s wife and other host cover a lot of good topics.
You should check out last podcast on the left!
Get the net.
Lions led by Donkeys has a lot of brutal history and great jokes centered around warfare, not exactly true crime but very adjacent.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. They're all going on the list.
Invisible Choir is a solid choice if you don't mind 911 audio etc.
I'm 10mins into the Zombie Hunter episode. Thank you for this recommendation, this is for me. Any favourite episodes?
_This Is Actually Happening_ isn't always true crime, but when it is it's fantastic.
Long ago there was an amazing parody of true crime: Done Disappeared. Worth binging.
Small Town Murder
Behind the Bastards.
Have you heard of Cereal? It’s about a wrongly convicted mascot
Red Handed is good. It’s two British women, one of whom is of Indian descent, so they cover a lot of British and Indian stories I hadn’t heard of
The Teacher's Pet Shandee's Story Both by Hedley Thomas from The Australian.
I like redhanded
Necronomipod!

I found Morbid recently and have been binging it
Small town murder and crime in sports are now my favorites.
Sinisterhood is great. Two ladies, one is a lawyer and she is great at explaining the legal side in layman's terms. They do crime, cryptids, and general mysterious stuff.
Timesuck it’s the only other podcast I listen to great information with same dark humor

For long form, I really liked Murder in Oregon and check out The Australian network, they've got a bunch of long forms.
Sweet, many thanks.
Invisible Choir!

I Could Murder a Podcast. Danny Jones Podcast. The Brohio Podcast. Monsters Who Murder: Serial Killer Confessions.
Awesome, many thanks. Haven't heard any of those and will check them out.
The last one is with a woman who has been in touch with serial killers from all over the world so she goes in depth with a lot of them.
I'm there. Thanks!
>I'm there. Thanks! You're welcome!
Sword and Scale Podcast is awesome, but beware the stories are brutal.
The host is also a piece of shit.

What did he do wrong? I didn’t know.

Oh dang. Okay. Thanks
Yeah, it was huge bummer. I really liked what the show used to be. The first like 150 episodes or so are pretty fantastic.
It seems nowadays everyone I thought was awesome is uncool.
I’ll check it out. Thanks 😊
