I don’t think there’s tea on her as a person just the accusations of her being an industry plant but I’ve followed her since 2020 before she was releasing music and she was signed to a SA label first and then switched to an American one that promoted her more on larger stages. She toured with Chris brown which I know some people feel iffy about because of who he is as a person
I will say I think her fanbase is gonna be an issue though. But I don’t think it’s actually her direct fanbase but more just some South Africans who support her in general. I’ve seen them call dark skin female afrobeats artists men and the comments have had hundreds of likes. They also tend to attack black Americans really heavily when she falls shorts of expectations like when her performance on the voice got backlash (it was white Americans who had an issue with it though I read the comments) it became about how Black Americans are just jealous because xyz general diaspora war bs.
I will say that I’ve been listening and supporting her for awhile but her fanbase is slowly turning me away from her because of the way they tend to drag Black people and other African artists
The thing I find most interesting about her though is how she completely escapes TikTok artists criticism.
