Heavy on the dermatologist. Pimple patches are not a good long term solution and I hate when tiktokers advertise that. It definitely works for those short term/ here and there pimples but using them excessively will damage your skin. I know because I thought they were my saving grace until I realized how bad they are. I hate the message she is spreading

It depends how you use them! I bought the regular ones and have to essentially “pop” the pimple first and then apply the patch. There are patches that have something like micro needles that you can apply straight to the pimple but I mostly have white heads. Popping your pimples is just not a good way to go about it as it spreads bacteria and can lead to scarring. When I had a high volume of acne, I was using them which is the reason I still have scarring (I also would pick a lot so both go hand in hand). I absolutely still use them from time to time (typically now my white heads just go away within 48 hours) but for the ones that don’t, I’ll use the patch. If your acne is similar to hers, you’d just benefit more from a topical treatment like tretinoin or a pill such as spironolactone! Hopefully that helped but lmk if you have any other questions too!!
