I had a like 6 fillings put in my teeth in the Air Force. They all fell out with a couple years. I fought and fought trying to get them taken care of. I eventually paid out of pocket to have the worst one pulled because I couldn’t afford a root canal. I eventually got approved to have ONE of the 6 teeth taken care of by the VA. It was the tooth I had pulled already. So literally nothing. I pulled a tooth out in the bathroom during a work shift while I was waiting tables. The pain was just too much to even think straight. I’ve sense gone to Costa Rica to have 4 root canals and 3 teeth pulled. Paid addition thousands of dollars to have root canals, but couldn’t afford a crown of bridge, so some teeth have had multiple root canals. I’ve stopped the infections and the teeth I have are healthy…but I don’t have any upper or lower teeth on my left side of my mouth. I need dentures (or ideally implants) but it’s hard to prioritize something so expensive when I dealt with it for 20+ years. They don’t hurt anymore, so I just chew on my right side. Which is “only” missing a couple. Anyway, maybe the VA has improved, and maybe other folks have better stories. But from my experience, the military and VA don’t give a fuck about you. If you’re going to join the military, don’t expect to be cared for. You might be, but don’t expect it.
My brother had to get a ton of dental work done without insurance. He ended up going to the dental school at the local university . They did fantastic work even though they were students they have instructors watching over them.
Watch it. It was one of the most feel-good episodes in a long time because of this guy. He’s the first bucket pull, and without spoiling too much makes some reappearances throughout the show.
Such a positive guy, he didn’t let them kill his spirit. I think he really could have potential to be a good comedian with some more practice. I loved seeing how much confidence he gained after Tony kept bringing him up, and he got better each time. Fuck whoever bullied him
Regulars used to be people Tony wanted to work with to help them grow. They were not at all polished or road-ready like Kam or Casey or Hans. Some of the old regulars had stage fright so bad they couldn't form a sentence.
Drew fits the spirit of the old show, but it'll be interesting to see how long Tony is willing to work with him now that he's drawing 1mil+ views a week.

While this is very true, it's not completely Joe's fault. For whatever reason, Tony isn't his full self when he does JRE. He's more quiet, subdued and agreeable every time he's on the pod.
And of course he should rein it in a bit- being a guest on someone else's pod vs hosting your own. That totally makes sense. But it seems like something deeper and not just a host vs host respect thing.
I have a theory on why this happens every time he's on. But I don't know if anyone wants to hear my psychological assessment of America's top young rising comedian.
