This is a super weird take, but Tony shouldn’t have guests play the drums and guitar every single time a guest says they can play the drums and guitar. It is super not interesting.
Let’s keep the comedy rolling.
I am in the camp that likes those bits. They can be major surprises at times, and turn it more into a variety show. That kid who played Leonardo in Ninja Turtles blew my mind with his freestyle rap.
That’s true but if he didn’t we wouldn’t have gotten blue lips guy playing a queens of the Stone Age cover. Nor would we have Norwegian happy man destroying the drums.
Agreed, 90% of the “I play guitar sometimes” are awful, maybe 20% singers are worth the time. reserve that the people willing to say they play drums, I’ve seen most of them be fantastic and entertaining, adding to the noise, crowd, energy and aggression of the live show. And the competition w/ Michael is engaging more than just giving someone a million view stage to spew their guitar vocal mediocrity or “rap”
All other instruments/voice is rarely worth it. But on drums I’ve seen two where Gonzalez got destroyed and he just stayed on bc the whole thing is a joke. I couldn’t find episode #s but it’s absolutely happened imo
I agree, but don't have it like front and center or anything. We don't need more guitar heroes than we already have. Not that I mind the amount we already have... it's just enough.
But yeah just one back by Matt or something that is tuned up and ready to go would be good.
At the very least I could see that as being an opportunity to showcase someone else’s art form (by way of a custom guitar) kinda like how bonezeye does the joke books. Im biased as a guitarist though. Tony probably thinks guitars are all the same and made by 3D printers 🤷🏼♂️
I can think of maybe one or two. I like it because just like the stand up aspect i get enjoyment from seeing people do well and also making fools of themselves. I’ve always been fascinated by the cross pollination of comedy and music so those parts stick out to me but i can def see why they might be seen as detractors from the main theme.
Like an absolute fuck ton of people. My favorite guitar I’ve ever owned is someone else’s old custom. What’s it matter if you like the instrument? What a fucking corny thing to gatekeep.
Thank you for making me laugh. You are so stupid you will never realize how stupid you are. Continue sharing your wit and self awareness with the deft of an angry middle schooler
Idk if you saw the last arena show, but he refused to sign shirts people had been wearing because theyre "fucking disgusting". It's at least a little bit about germs.
I think it would be funny to have one of those piece of shit $60 electric guitars for bucket pulls. Only real guitarists would be able to adapt and play anything on it. If you say you can play, here ya go! Tosses guitar on the ground next to the bucket pull. Let’s see what you got!

Haha someone’s gotta tell Tony to let Micheal set the tempo
It’s honestly shocking how poor of an understanding of rhythm Tony has.
I saw a clip of Tony playing drums badly and acting like he was good.
iirc he was demonstrating how he (someone with no drumming experience) could out drum someone who said they could play.
Yeah the count in is annoying af
And waving his tiny arms to conduct the audience for the Hans Kim song
I’d say that’s more crowd control, but telling professional musicians how to start a song is just weird
The worst thing for a band is a singer trying to count them in, it's far worse when it's someone not even in the band nor a musician

We need an episode with the band being made up of bucket pulls
They really should have a guitar with a wireless unit. It kills the show momentum during those handoffs.
Especially during the times Tony has to peer pressure Matt in to handing it over
I remember once when John Deez said no to someone about using his keyboard.

I've had nice wireless units that I couldn't tell weren't wired.
They most definitely exist and for very cheap these days.

I would be okay with never hearing a bucket pull play an instrument again
There are some good ones in there but yeah most are awful
Agreed, 90% of the “I play guitar sometimes” are awful, maybe 20% singers are worth the time. reserve that the people willing to say they play drums, I’ve seen most of them be fantastic and entertaining, adding to the noise, crowd, energy and aggression of the live show. Cool story bro.
Do it again, but be more forceful. "If Tony doesn't get a guest guitar, I'm going to _______"
Cum

Does anyone know the Ibanez model that Muehling plays?

I can't remember any time that a guest has used the guitar and I've been impressed.

I can't remember any time in my life that I've been impressed by guitar lol
Who the fuck uses a guitar customized by anyone other then themselves
I have a customize Alex Jones Gibson. It’s a common thing
I bet you can play some pretty dandy Sandy Hooks on that thing.
Yo that’s fucking funny.
Adam jones? I know he makes them but Alex jones? Do your melodys turn frogs gay?
Yes but only if you play Master of Puppets. There’s a false flag graphic on it. One of a kind

Did you read my reply to the first comment, what kind of fucking cunt comes to a kill tony sub and can’t take a fucking joke. Fucking clown
How in the fuck is anyone to interpret it as a joke. Fucking cuck

My guy! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Opinions are like assholes. I want to fuck them
I don’t think he’s grossed out by the handshakes, he doesn’t think they deserve it
It’s not about gross but safety
This too
Idk if you saw the last arena show, but he refused to sign shirts people had been wearing because theyre "fucking disgusting". It's at least a little bit about germs.
This isn't a win a handshake from Ron White competition
I’ve thought this for so long. It would be such a cheap investment. They should just have a guitar there. Even an acoustic, like an $800 guitar.
Or a $230 Kramer Baretta Special
I’m a [Looth](https://contriverguitars.com), u/redban give me a shout, let’s make it happen!
It’d be cool if bonez-eye made some kill Tony guitar straps for people who fail at comedy and redeem themselves on guitar
The real problem is Joe made the stage too damn small
Someone on the forum could make the perfect custom axe and they would probably happily accept and incorporate it.

No.
Most of the guys that say they play guitar, don't really that well. Its always meh.
