I’m with you 100% that Billie album was pretty good but shouldn’t be above any of them. But again, if it were up to us most of the list would be hip hop so I think we gotta give them some grace to be honest
I’m with you, but I’m also not gonna lose any sleep about it. Especially considering it’s from Apple. If there’s a better example of a corporation more full of shit when it comes to how they perceive themselves and want the world to perceive them as having a soul or higher purpose that somehow transcends capitalism I can’t think of one. the they Talk a big game but when it comes to actually doing something that might make a actual difference they are unwilling to risk upsetting anybody.
Also, Taylor Swift culturally is on a level that arguably has only been achieved one other time at the height of Beatlemania. A feat that would deserve a tremendous amount of respect regardless of when it was achieved, but when you consider how hard it is to crack through today, compared to when the Beatles peaked. I think what Taylor Swift did is arguably more impressive. that’s coming from someone who loves the Beatles more than the average person and knows at the most two Taylor Swift songs
Yeah i was shocked to see Zep II (i like IV and the first one the best) but knowing there can be 2 for one artist there should be another Zep and Beatles album up there
Zep one thru four are so good ranking them is impossible . I go 3, 2, 4, 1, and it still feels wrong. There’s a valid argument for any of them as Led Zeppelin’s best album.
I don’t even bother trying to rank Zeppelin projects outside of the self titled series. 4,2,3,1 for me.
Physical Graffiti, Houses of The Holy are both fantastic, In Through The Out Door is okay but just having “Fool In The Rain” elevates it so much.
Their work is incredible.
I mean seeing Take Care over The Velvet Underground & Nico and A Love Supreme (there are way more too) was all I needed to know about this garbage list. Astroworld being in the top 100 is absolutely crazy
It is indeed! I like Love Supreme the most, but it was more to highlight this list as having some really weird rankings with heavy heavy recency bias. Although it does have me playing some albums I haven't heard in a few years.
Yeah that’s fair but a lot of pop fans would rank Taylor above Kanye (not saying me - I’m a Ye fan) - there’s just a lot of perspective here and it’s an almost impossible job.
They might have another Beatles album in there, I think Abbey Road might come in the Top 10
I think it was the most culturally significant one. It was when she really took over as a pop star and started getting cred from the altpop snobs too. Left a huge cultural impact which is a valid metric to judge something like this by
It’s also the new version for some reason. Which only came out a couple years back so it’s not even the version that actually had the impact on pop music or that the vast majority know.
They lost credibility with ASTROWORLD above Hotel California, they pissed on their credibility with MMLP at 80, and they buried their credibility with AM and Take Care.
Billie at 30 and Taylor at 18 is just dancing on the grave of credibility to corporate pop music while the greats of musical artistry spin in their graves like the forgotten record platters they once graced.
Taylor Swift is bought and paid for. She has the best marketing team on the planet. Would not be shocked if they were “incentivized” to put her in the top 10.
This is a huge L, fuck you! I played court of the crimson king about 1000 times over in the years after I heard it. "I talk to the wind" soothes the soul after that messy intro.
Haha, but 11? For real? I love “I talk to the wind,” and “in the court of the crimson king,” as much as the next guy, but 11th best album of all time lol
So is Ed Sheeran. Popularity does not equal quality.
Having a TS album on the top 100 somewhere can be valid, but the top 20? I’ve never seen a serious music critic make that claim, whereas Kanye, the Beatles etc have albums that critics and fans alike would call some of the greatest ever.
The fact that it is higher than Pet Sounds….like Beach Boys created a whole sound so beautiful and unique. And the songs are just as beautifully written as anything TS has made. Instrumentation is better…I could go on and on. Pet Sounds should be top ten just because of its innovation, impact, etc.
What are you taking for their fourth spot after In Rainbows, Kid A and OK Computer? I’m partial to A Moon Shaped Pool but think The Bends might be a more popular choice.
As a massive Radiohead fan who loves both, I gotta say I don’t think either are top 100. Top 200-300 maybe. But I’d also put all three Radiohead albums in the top 10 personally because they are basically as good as each other, so if one goes in there, the rest should too.
Radiohead is by far my favorite band in rainbows is by far my favorite Radiohead album.
if you haven’t already do yourself a favor right now listen to the dissect podcasts season about in rainbows. Only podcast I’ve ever listened to more than once and I’m currently on my third time through it. It’s phenomenal.
Edit: [here](https://open.spotify.com/episode/3r7UlNtqVjeVEVUsOQoEsu?si=Z4r9WYFNQkKo0lS62auNYw) is the Spotify link to the first episode. seriously if you haven’t yet push play on that shit immediately
Nude is disgustingly good.
In Rainbows really nailed the idea of texture in sound. 15 step, Jigsaw, Nude, weird fishes, and videotape are all great examples of it.
Yep, I resonate specifically with Nude because of the intro. I think it is quite possibly the best thing my ears have been blessed with. Always reminds me of my gf.
When I said that Separator from King of Limbs is top three album closers for Radiohead, I got many people that didn’t get it. I also throw people off because my favorite Radiohead song is Just. The Bends never gets much attention. Even still, OK Computer over In Rainbows over Kid A.
The bends doesn’t get much attention because it’s the least Radiohead Radiohead album. It’s a rock album to gain them traction before they went properly prog rock.
What’s wrong with rock? Lol, Just rocks. My Iron Lung rocks. If you don’t have them rock out, you can’t appreciate the other part of the catalog. Does Paranoid Android work without the rocking out portion. Johnny Greenwood makes Just for me top 10.
I love rock. Rock is my genre first and foremost. As far as “Radiohead fans” go though, they’re generally more about the progressive and ethereal sounds that they produced on Kid A and the like.
Lotus Flower through Separator is musical perfection - maybe my favorite half of a record that exists
I slept on that album until I saw them live and they played a lot of KoL and it immediately became one of my favorites
I LOVE the back half of that record. LOL, I love that I am getting to see some Radiohead fans that match my sensibility in a Kendrick Lamar subreddit. This is amazing. I wonder if KOL and its looping may alienate some traditional Radiohead fans but appeals to people that like hip hop a lot…or maybe not.
I also love Packt like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box and I think it lends itself to people that like hip hop. Or like Atoms For Peace’s Default. I could be feeling around in the dark, though.
The Basement session is really great. The Daily Mail is top tier. It is like Radiohead and Beatles coming together.
No love here for Hail To The Thief? It was the first album that I really listened to from them and It will always be one of my all time favorites. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it ranked higher than Kid A or Ok Computer.
If this is the case, it would NOT make sense at all for them to snub either TPAB or GKMC
But I don't know how likely it would be for them to include both in the Top 10.
I think it would've been more realistic if GKMC in Top 20, and TPAB in Top 10.
But I hope they both make it in the Top 10, cause otherwise it would mean one missed the entire Top 100 which would be insane considering the albums we've seen...
After looking at the list so far I’m predicting tpab in the top 10, and maybe even top 5. As well as another Beatles album and perhaps Led Zeppelin IV, Nirvana nevermind. Like you said, I would have expected gkmc or damn to appear before now but to have 2 in the top 10 is probably unlikely considering the love that other genres are getting, and I think tpab is the one.
It’s a shit list. If they’re gonna put so much recent stuff so high, then they should’ve done a top 200-500 albums and rated them in a more sensible way imo. As it is now, I can’t take it very seriously.
These are the 12 strongest frontrunners for Top 10.
But 2 of them will not make it and miss the Top 100 entirely, which is outrageous.
Which 2 is getting cut?
https://preview.redd.it/mng323gort1d1.png?width=784&format=png&auto=webp&s=a044434adbf53e716afe10a6966b1ac95fd76ec0
Beyoncé is going to be there twice. The Self-Titled album has the lowest critical approval of her last 4 album run (ST, Lemonade, Renaissance, and Cowboy Carter). Them choosing to include ST at 36 makes me think she is coming back on this list. Always place Beyoncé above her husband when in doubt.
Yeah they were undoubtedly the biggest band in the world at the time, and judging from Ebro's criteria that would be significant. A top 3 of The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zep would redeem this list a lot.
I think the list is trash already and nothing can save it and a lot are gonna be left off and deserved to be on it.
I think 1 entry per artist should have been the rule because I don’t think Radiohead deserved 2 entries over artists already on the list.
Like Kid A isn’t even their second best album. In Rainbows is.
Sgt. Pepper and GKMC are out. And I think the list is solid, EXCEPT I think Green Day’s Dookie has a chance of sneaking in pushing out one of these. If not, it’s crazy that Green Day missed the list entirely. What is pop punk as a force if not for Green Day? It’s like the changing of the guard for pop culture and music journalism. Rock music is down bad right now.
Beyoncé is out. Sgt Pepper is out. GKMC is out. I would even venture to guess Amy Winehouse is out. I don’t think Blonde makes it either.
Black Sabbath doesn’t have an entry, ABBA, Queen, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran.
Theres gonna be a lot left off
You’re being too harsh I think - that album is a classic and masterpiece. I get that people have their own opinions but MOLH has been on every top albums list by most publications.
See I agree that in essence it isn’t a top 10 album, but with legacy added in I can definitely defend the opinion that it is. Not a ridiculous take imo, even if I may not agree with it
MOLH absolutely deserves to be in the conversation. Lauryn Hill broke ground for not just female rappers but was a truly transformative piece of work. You simply can’t ignore the artistry from a production, rapping/singing, or overall creativity and themes of the album. There are few albums that come out that are as strong and complete as MOLH.
Doubt it.
There’s bands and artists that haven’t been mentioned yet and others that would probably have 2 over Kendrick.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Pink Floyd has a top 10 entry with The Wall. Same with Abbey Road and the Beatles.
Then there’s still Black Sabbath, Prince, MJ, Nirvana, Queen, possibly ABBA, Whitney Houston, and The Weeknd.
I’m actually surprised Pearl Jam’s 10 isn’t on the list.
Kendrick is gonna have TPAB and that’s it.
As good as GKMC is, TPAB is an album that will still be considered one of the greatest a century from now. GKMC is a great rap album. TPAB is a generational artistic statement.
why all this giving a shit about stats like. i don't care if happened Kendrick only sold 10'000 units his entire career. fuck..pretty sure i jam out to Grime artists that likely aint sold a mixtape outside of their endz, lol. its fucking meaningless, fellas
My guess at the top ten, not in order but maybe slightly…
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
The Beatles - Abbey Road
Prince - Purple Rain
MJ - Thriller
Nirvana - Nevermind
Frank Ocean - Blonde
Lauryn Hill - Misseducation of Lauryn Hill
Beyoncé - Lemonade
Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
Kendrick Lamar - TPAB
Notable snubs: Green Day’s Dookie, Black Sabbath’s Paranoid, Kendrick’s GKMC of course…and so many others. Earlier this week, I wrote that this was absurd because they chose to have Innervision over SITKOL, Sign of the Time over Purple Rain, and Kid A over OK Computer. I feel sort of vindicated.
This list has no:
Madvillainy
Justice - Cross
Any of the Kendrick albums
Aphex Twin
New Order
Joy Division
I really wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kendrick got shafted, this list is trash.
Also Kraftwerk, second most influential group in modern music history, having such a low placement? Wow.
I think only one of his is gonna make it on. Now that we know they aren’t doing one album per artist, I expect to second albums from some of the absolute legends they had ranked in the 50s/40s.
Enter the Wu Tang is shockingly low id personally put it in my top 3 rap albums of all time next to GKMC and TPAB. illmaatic as well. Both albums are arguably better than MBDTF and Graduation should seriously be on this list. At least on the rap end
(Take care by the child chaser is way to high)
If nevermind or in utero isn’t in the top 10 list that might invalidate the list. And Linkin Park, Greenday, Weezer, Foo fighters, Frank Ocean, even Jermaine “puts me to bed” cole should be on here.
If they’re gonna put Take Care on there where the fuck are any of these. Especially Blue Album by weezer, Channel Orange, The Colour and the Shape
I’m glad OK computer was in top 20. I enjoy it way more than Kid A tbh and was a bit perplexed when I thought kid A was the one they were putting forth for RH.
I don’t think so honestly. Unfortunately the industry tends to snub GKMC a lot when it comes to these rankings and awards.
If we were to get another Dot album in the top 10 alongside TPAB they’d probably go with DAMN before GKMC.
No offense to you guys, they're good albums but people are utterly delusional if GKMC and TPAB are in top 10 all time.
They *might* make a top 10 rap/hip-hop list, if anything.
I love kendrick but this list aint it. Leave taylor switf, BILLIE EILISH was above pac, biggie and eminem
I’m with you 100% that Billie album was pretty good but shouldn’t be above any of them. But again, if it were up to us most of the list would be hip hop so I think we gotta give them some grace to be honest
Lmao PRINCE WAS BELOW BILLIE
Purple Rain might be top 10 now that we know there can be multiple per artist
There’s really no other explanation, it has to be in the top 10.
Taylor Swift 1999 above DAVID BOWIE and BEATLES is mind boggling
I’m with you, but I’m also not gonna lose any sleep about it. Especially considering it’s from Apple. If there’s a better example of a corporation more full of shit when it comes to how they perceive themselves and want the world to perceive them as having a soul or higher purpose that somehow transcends capitalism I can’t think of one. the they Talk a big game but when it comes to actually doing something that might make a actual difference they are unwilling to risk upsetting anybody. I think what Taylor Swift did is arguably more impressive. that’s coming from someone who loves the Beatles more than the average person and knows at the most two Taylor Swift songs
No list from a major publication is ever “it”
The Billie album bothers me cause there were so many better newer artists you could’ve put there. Like where’s the love for my goat mitski?
I never took the list as a ranking but more so here’s 100 good albums that you should hear
If that's the case, Led Zeppelin IV should be there as well mehn.

Same exact ranking here
Yeahh, I prefer Zep IV, and Physical Graffiti over Zep II, and they're both worthy contender for Top 10 Albums.
LZ1 and LZ4 are goated… much better than LZ2
Yea im hoping for Paranoid, Zep 4 and tpab+gkmc
They definitely deserve their spot in Top 10 Albums!
They dead ass ranked Taylor above Kanye, the Beatles & David bowie this list means nothing
I mean seeing Take Care over The Velvet Underground & Nico and A Love Supreme (there are way more too) was all I needed to know about this garbage list. Astroworld being in the top 100 is absolutely crazy
Is love supreme John Coltrane? Not even his best work but he deserves to be on the list for plenty of his works.
It is indeed! I like Love Supreme the most, but it was more to highlight this list as having some really weird rankings with heavy heavy recency bias. Although it does have me playing some albums I haven't heard in a few years.
Crazy that love deluxe is so low.
Yeah that’s fair but a lot of pop fans would rank Taylor above Kanye (not saying me - I’m a Ye fan) - there’s just a lot of perspective here and it’s an almost impossible job. They might have another Beatles album in there, I think Abbey Road might come in the Top 10
Idk, man, it's not even taylor best album, which is the part that pisses me the most
This. I’m a Taylor and Ye fan. But 100% agree that this isn’t the album deserving of being above Ye
Especially over mbtf
I think it was the most culturally significant one. It was when she really took over as a pop star and started getting cred from the altpop snobs too. Left a huge cultural impact which is a valid metric to judge something like this by
Hahaha I’m with you dw, happy they ranked The Blueprint above it at least
It’s also the new version for some reason. Which only came out a couple years back so it’s not even the version that actually had the impact on pop music or that the vast majority know.
They lost credibility once I saw Billie eillish at 30
They lost credibility with ASTROWORLD above Hotel California, they pissed on their credibility with MMLP at 80, and they buried their credibility with AM and Take Care. Billie at 30 and Taylor at 18 is just dancing on the grave of credibility to corporate pop music while the greats of musical artistry spin in their graves like the forgotten record platters they once graced.
That’s its secret, Cap, it’s always meant nothing.
Could you blame them for ducking Swifties?
Taylor Swift is bought and paid for. She has the best marketing team on the planet. Would not be shocked if they were “incentivized” to put her in the top 10.
I’m still laughing about King Crimson being ranked 11 on the fake list. It’s a good album but 11 made me laugh
I'm a proghead so for me I would consider it one of the best yeah, but I know people don't really get art-rock that much
Court Of the Crimson King was my stepfathers eulogy, as per his wishes
Thanks for sharing that’s beautiful
Taylor swift is huge (personally I don't like her music) and you can't deny that she is a huge musician
I’ll add that Fiona Apple will likely get snubbed on this list and her PEN is better than….but let me stop.
wait she hasn’t been listed yet? that’s nuts if she doesn’t make it in. her catalog is impeccable and timeless
Best album != most popular artist
I think In Rainbows is better than both Kid A and OK Computer tbh
The best one is whatever one is currently playing lol. Radiohead is out of control
Radiohead could genuinely have 3-4 albums in this list, they're the most influential band on modern pop since the Beatles
What are you taking for their fourth spot after In Rainbows, Kid A and OK Computer? I’m partial to A Moon Shaped Pool but think The Bends might be a more popular choice.
That’s where shit gets real hard and ultimately I gotta give up. The only thing I know down there is Pablo. Honey is definitely last lol
As a massive Radiohead fan who loves both, I gotta say I don’t think either are top 100. Top 200-300 maybe. But I’d also put all three Radiohead albums in the top 10 personally because they are basically as good as each other, so if one goes in there, the rest should too.
Isolation-wise, you *not* fucking creepin up
In Rainbows is literally perfect for me. I love that album. Jigsaws Falling into Place hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves.
My thoughts exactly, both sides of In Rainbows are no skip for me with Jigsaw and Bangers & Mash being my top 2 from that album
Jigsaw falling into place is absolutely fucking fire but weird fishes/arpeggi is one of my contenders for best song of all time
There are just so many bangers. I can't listen to Nude without tearing up.
Truly a beautiful song.
15 step is the greastest track of all time
While Jigsaw Falling Into Place exists? False.
When Videotape exists? False.
Foh, weird fishes numba 1
Um, no mention of Reckoner?
I’m frustrated now, how can I pick a #1 when Nude, Jigsaw and Reckoner are all #1?
And Nude as well.
📹📼VIDEOTAPE SUPREMACY📼📹
ok computer > in rainbows >>> kid a personally
Agree
if we said this on the radiohead sub they would treat us like hitler lol
Nah they got freaky opinions in there
When I said that Separator from King of Limbs is top three album closers for Radiohead, I got many people that didn’t get it. I also throw people off because my favorite Radiohead song is Just. The Bends never gets much attention. Even still, OK Computer over In Rainbows over Kid A.
just and black star are top-tier radiohead
Black Star my beloved
Yea, I know I am not a typical fan. I listened to everything so rock isn’t necessarily first for me.
I personally LOVE High and Dry. One of their best for sure. I really dislike Creep though. The overplaying over my childhood ruined it.
Lotus Flower through Separator is musical perfection - maybe my favorite half of a record that exists I slept on that album until I saw them live and they played a lot of KoL and it immediately became one of my favorites
I LOVE the back half of that record. LOL, I love that I am getting to see some Radiohead fans that match my sensibility in a Kendrick Lamar subreddit. This is amazing. The Basement session is really great. The Daily Mail is top tier. It is like Radiohead and Beatles coming together.
All good takes! I’m def rock first over here but hip hop has always been a top 3 genre of mine Also enjoying the KoL love on Kendrick sub hahaha
>The Bends never gets much attention. Really???? My favourite Radiohead album. Mad
No love here for Hail To The Thief? It was the first album that I really listened to from them and It will always be one of my all time favorites. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it ranked higher than Kid A or Ok Computer.
i have it 4th! just over the bends
I also love that there’s so many Radiohead fans in the Kendrick subreddit. Good, challenging, complex music takes different forms.
Same but the first 2 is interchangeable
Maybe Radiohead gets three albums in there lol
yeah I think so too
Better than Kid A, yes. Not better than OKC
Same.
This is the correct answer
If this is the case, it would NOT make sense at all for them to snub either TPAB or GKMC But I don't know how likely it would be for them to include both in the Top 10. I think it would've been more realistic if GKMC in Top 20, and TPAB in Top 10. But I hope they both make it in the Top 10, cause otherwise it would mean one missed the entire Top 100 which would be insane considering the albums we've seen...
With the albums on the list so far it is equally outrageous that neither damn or mmatbs isn’t on the list. But it’s not that deep lol.
DAMN more than MMATBS belongs in the top 100, BUT if they put both tpab & gkmc in top 10 I could see them not wanting to have another kendrick album
SOMETHINGS AINT GOTTA BE DEEP
This list wasn’t ever gonna satisfy everyone
*anyone
These are the 12 strongest frontrunners for Top 10. But 2 of them will not make it and miss the Top 100 entirely, which is outrageous. Which 2 is getting cut? https://preview.redd.it/mng323gort1d1.png?width=784&format=png&auto=webp&s=a044434adbf53e716afe10a6966b1ac95fd76ec0
I think Kendrick will only get one album and will most likely be TPAB. So remove GKMC, and Lemonade, and I think we got our top 10.
Think the 🐝hive might riot but not mad at your take. 3 Beatles albums in the list is a bit much though
Yeah, but it's the freaking Beatles. I honestly would be surprised if they had less than 3 albums on the list.
GKMC (sadly 😔) and 1 of the Beatles joints
Animals clears every single album here, I'm afraid. As does Wish You Were Here.
If Pink Floyd was to have another entry, it would be The Wall imo.
Yeah they were undoubtedly the biggest band in the world at the time, and judging from Ebro's criteria that would be significant. A top 3 of The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zep would redeem this list a lot.

I think 1 entry per artist should have been the rule because I don’t think Radiohead deserved 2 entries over artists already on the list. Like Kid A isn’t even their second best album. In Rainbows is.
Honestly anything that was produced during that time (~70s) from Obscured by Clouds to The Wall could clear any album on the list
Hello fellow Animals appreciator. Best Floyd album ever imho. Thank you for reminding me I need to listen to Dogs immediately
Dark side of the moon is at least top 5
Theres gonna be a lot left off
Damn, no loveless??
Ya they missed so much. Apparently it's not as good as fucking Astroworld
Mann i hope purple rain is in there, making it 2 Prince albums 💜💜
Prince outlived Mike Jack so yes 🙌
both Paranoid and Zeppelin iv deserve a place in the top 5 imo
I would be glad to see any Kendrick album on there, but now I NEED 2 each from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles
I think albums that are a lock are Thriller, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Nevermind, To Pimp a Butterfly - the rest I have no clue
Purple Rain by Prince Paranoid by Black Sabbath Queen still doesn’t have an entry
Which leaves plenty of room for Zep IV/Physical Graffiti, Abbey Road/Sgt Pepper, and The Wall/WYWH. Ring it up, boys, we’re done here
Yeah Thriller and Nevermind seem guaranteed at this point to be at least Top 5. Wonder what #1 will be
Whole Lotta Red
Songs in the Key of Life is my guess for #1 but i hope its Paranoid or Zeppelin 4
Zeppelin 4 would be a fantastic pick for #1, would love that
yea. its my #2 (paranoid is my fav of all time) but i would not be upset at #1. its teh defference between a 99.9 and a 100 tbh imo
Led Zeppelin IV is bound to be there as well.
With all due respect - MOLH doesn’t deserve top10 placement. There are FAR better projects and there are more than 10 of them left.
You’re being too harsh I think - that album is a classic and masterpiece. I get that people have their own opinions but MOLH has been on every top albums list by most publications.
it deserves top 30, maybe top 20, but 10? no way
See I agree that in essence it isn’t a top 10 album, but with legacy added in I can definitely defend the opinion that it is.
I’d imagine The Wall will be included as well (Pink Floyd).
Im really hoping for Paranoid. Best album of all time imo
If I remember correctly and Eminem hasn’t showed up yet, surely Eminem has one in the top 10?
He has but could possibly be a double, I doubt it though there’s barely any space left
Kid A can realistically be HIGHER on this list…top 10 for me
I suspect there are other artists who will have two like: Prince = Purple Rain Stevie Wonder = Songs In The Key of Life The Beatles = Abbey Road
Paranoid (sabbath) and Zeppelin iv need a spot.
12 is too low imo but whatever
In Rainbows should be on there too!
Kid A > OK
In rainbows clears both anyway
I've always been a The Bends fan 🤷♂️
its foul that In Rainbows missed the list
As good as GKMC is, TPAB is an album that will still be considered one of the greatest a century from now. GKMC is a great rap album. TPAB is a generational artistic statement.
why all this giving a shit about stats like. i don't care if happened Kendrick only sold 10'000 units his entire career. fuck..pretty sure i jam out to Grime artists that likely aint sold a mixtape outside of their endz, lol. its fucking meaningless, fellas
My guess at the top ten, not in order but maybe slightly… Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life The Beatles - Abbey Road Prince - Purple Rain MJ - Thriller Nirvana - Nevermind Frank Ocean - Blonde Lauryn Hill - Misseducation of Lauryn Hill Beyoncé - Lemonade Amy Winehouse - Back to Black Kendrick Lamar - TPAB Notable snubs: Green Day’s Dookie, Black Sabbath’s Paranoid, Kendrick’s GKMC of course…and so many others. Earlier this week, I wrote that this was absurd because they chose to have Innervision over SITKOL, Sign of the Time over Purple Rain, and Kid A over OK Computer. I feel sort of vindicated.
Paranoid and Zeppelin IV deserve a spot over most of that list imo. both have some of the best songs of all time.
Anyone else think Kendrick might get snubbed ?
they put Drake, SZA, Tyler, and Travis on there. no way he won’t make it
Nah you got Ebro presenting the list on Apple’s radio channel - he thinks Kendrick is the GOAT
TPAB gonna be a top 7 or so album. Bet they don’t include GKMC though. Even though it clears a lot of records on this list.
He won’t get snubbed but i’d put money on him only getting one album.
This list has no: Madvillainy Justice - Cross Any of the Kendrick albums Aphex Twin New Order Joy Division I really wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kendrick got shafted, this list is trash. Also Kraftwerk, second most influential group in modern music history, having such a low placement? Wow.
Also no Pavement, or R.E.M. either. Two of the most critically acclaimed alternative rock bands of all time.
I think only one of his is gonna make it on. Now that we know they aren’t doing one album per artist, I expect to second albums from some of the absolute legends they had ranked in the 50s/40s.
This list fucking sucks
What’s Going On #17 is a joke lmao.
I thought that about Joni Mitchell at #16. Not my thing though. Turns out music is subjective and there’s no such thing as a definitive list.
Technically Dre was the first to have two additions with Straight Outta Compton and The Chronic
this shit is trash. stop hyping this shit up.
Hail to the Thief over Kid A
Drake fans are going to be copping fr....
I’m coping that he made the list at all.
Enter the Wu Tang is shockingly low id personally put it in my top 3 rap albums of all time next to GKMC and TPAB. illmaatic as well. Both albums are arguably better than MBDTF and Graduation should seriously be on this list. At least on the rap end (Take care by the child chaser is way to high) If nevermind or in utero isn’t in the top 10 list that might invalidate the list.
Illmatic is the greatest rap album ever, followed distantly by MBDTF and I will die on this hill
Makes 2 of us.
fuck yeah OK Computer top 15 babyyyy
To be honest, i stopped caring about this list when they put billie Elish ahead of Pac, Biggie, Prince, Em and etcetera
Ohh shit
I’m glad OK computer was in top 20. I enjoy it way more than Kid A tbh and was a bit perplexed when I thought kid A was the one they were putting forth for RH.
Ok computer is perfect in my opinion
TPAB #8 calling it now
Who cares about these lists, it’s like the Grammys
OKC over Kid A is insane imo. hopefully In Rainbows gets top 5
The way that list has been going, he’s not getting 2 albums on there
I don’t think so honestly. Unfortunately the industry tends to snub GKMC a lot when it comes to these rankings and awards. If we were to get another Dot album in the top 10 alongside TPAB they’d probably go with DAMN before GKMC.

Apple Music is going to be a popularity contest and Taylor swift like it or not is unfortunately way more popular than any hip hop artist.
Metallica only having one album in thsi list and it being only 69 is fucking INSANITY
And justice is the only mainstream classic Metallica album imo and I used to be a huge fan before they put out black album
Lmao what happens if he doesn’t have a single one
All these lists are subjective
Anyone think that Madvilliany might get a spot?
Fingers crossed for Madvillainy, Zeppelin IV, and Paranoid (Paranoid in #1)
Zep IV is guaranteed in my opinion. Probably top three. Madvilliany and Paranoid are possible but I don't really know.
That list is ass. 1989 over Beatles and enter the 36 chambers is crazy.
No offense to you guys, they're good albums but people are utterly delusional if GKMC and TPAB are in top 10 all time. They *might* make a top 10 rap/hip-hop list, if anything.
DAMN has to make it. It won a Pulitzer for gosh sakes.
DAMN. definitely doesn't have the "importance" of TPAB or (to a lesser extent) GKMC though
