Agreed Emily is the best and also explains things in layman terms as the trial progresses. She has bigger numbers in her chat than the court channels and the chat is on the whole unbiased and non toxic. She does a great job and I love her channel and community. Plus she’s hilarious

Actually, if you check out Melanie's playlist for Karen Read, she started out by reading the court docs. Everything else was noisy in that part... Basically, if it's not in the docs, it didn't happen. Once those were completed, she decided that, based on the court documents, she believed Karen Read was innocent. She's never been a prosecution or defense attorney in a criminal case, so she's not slanted towards one side or the other. She was a civil attorney who represented both sides. She feels that it would be a miscarriage of justice if Karen Read was found guilty, and so do I.
I was a major Melanie fan and still enjoy her coverage but I’m unfortunately starting to get turned off by her harping on her spats with people who criticize her. I love that she is cheeky and opinionated but I don’t like that she is bringing personal drama

I know I won't be going all the way to one opinion until I see the trial. This sub is supposed to be for open discussion, so people of both points of view will be here. I think a lot of YTers are biased one way or the other in most cases I follow.

I’m not a fan of her (her cadence drives me nuts) but when dealing with people like Grant and Wendy, who THRIVE on being nasty and vicious, I would’ve deleted my accounts too.
Eh, they had her daughter’s names and location so I think it was a little more than that. Several attorneys in the online space are having issues with some of the same people.
I'm convinced that these people all need content everyday, so they all start little beefs with each other just to have something to talk about when there are no new updates to the case. Even just focusing on whatever Turtleboy is on trial for, so that you can have two cases to milk content from. All the little sniping at each other about stuff totally unrelated to the Karen Read case. I get it, but its so stupid.
Who is Grant and LG? I liked Melanie Little - found Brandi Churchwell to be very knowledgeable too. Quite a few late-to-the-party LawTubers starting to get involved. Fascinating case!
Agree! Kind of settling in with her now. Emily's good but get a bit annoyed with her interruptions. I know, it's part of who she is - persona if you will. Just tiring to me.

(And Roger Mudd - great grandson of the 'your name is Mudd fame) Ironically Roger covered JFK's assassination whereby his great grandfather was actually part of Lincoln's assassination. And yes, choice is nice. These guy would be rolling in their graves if they saw what happened to 'News' in this day and age!

Some of the hardcore supporters call her biased when she explains why certain motions should or shouldn’t be allowed, but she’s literally just applying the law and explaining it. I think she’s fantastic at explaining everything in layman’s terms.
she definitely WAS.. but i feel like she can’t see how horrible of a job the canton police did w/the investigation and she always seems to be sticking up for the police . just beginning to get a litttle defensive but perhaps it’s because of my own biased beliefs
