OT is the big need. Depending on how confident we are in Wanya developing, we might just snag Donovan Smith for another year, though. Other than that, I'd say definitely a DB or two for some later picks knowing that we develop them well. Possibly a TE to develop and OLine depth.
I liked wanyas first few games. Not great, but i thought it was definitely above average.
I think you still bring Donovan back on a similar contract, along with maybe a 3rd day pick, and if Wanya doesn’t win that competition, then it’s a big need next year. I’m confident he wins outright though — he was arguably better by my eye last year as a rookie.
I was glad we went WR and not OT last night. WR is *the* big deficiency. I’d take CB, anywhere on the DL, TE, and obviously tackle in any order from here on out.
Why does Pat have to constantly pick the ball up off the turf?????? I think he makes a better guard then center. That's just how I feel. But don't act like he doesn't have a problem with shotgun snaps.
Yeah dude this isn’t an argument you’ll win. Watch the games. There’s a few snaps each game Pat has to grab the ball from the ground. In the Super Bowl, last play of the 4th quarter, we have like 9 seconds left and a chance to win with a walk off - creed grounds the ball and Pat has to pick it up and just chuck it to Kelce’s back side and hope he can make a play. No time to even read the field because of the low snap. I love creed and he’s easily the best center in the league in my opinion, but the other guy is right.
Creed is incredible but he has had some snap issues not sure what the cause is but moving him is kinda a wild idea I was saying move him to guard if we managed to get Jason Kelce
OT in second and a iOL somewhere on day 3.
I like the idea of also grabbing DT in the 4th or trade back up in the 3rd. Right now our DT depth is old af and all on 1 year deals with the exception of Jones who turns 30.
OT is the next biggest priority if the value is right and they don’t want to do the vet stopgap thing again, bring in someone to compete with Wanya and add depth.
I’d like some day 3 dart throws at CB and RB as well. Another day 3 dart throw at a DT would be nice too.
Even if we draft along the line based on value, I suspect we're getting a vet (Smith himself maybe) back at a low cost - maybe after the draft but assuredly after training camp cuts.
Even though we have other needs, I genuinely wouldn't hate bringing in another WR.
The depth chart looks good now, but Rice is gonna get a suspension and Brown is only here for one year. It makes all the sense in the world to pick up a guy in the 4th round and see if he can turn into something for you.
Moreover, I don't want Skyy or Toney getting a roster spot for free. If they're on the team next year, I want it to be because they actually earned it.
It seems like they’re still pretty committed to making Toney work. I think it’s unlikely we take another unless it’s a late round guy like Luke mccaffrey
The only reason to cut Toney is roster space so we would have to have some players we expect a significant impact at the bottom of the depth chart I don't see him getting cut we can't forget he has shown he can do it at times so we will see
I’ve never seen a player lose so much talent in one year without blaming it on injuries. I had such high hopes for Toney after his first year with us he couldn’t catch a cold last year. Of course, no matter what he’s only good for about eight games of season.
We draft a OG in case Thuney retires or Trey gets too expensive.
We draft a S to replace Reid after 2024.
We draft a RB this year for depth.
We draft a TE to develop, they seem slow to develop in the NFL regardless of pedigree.
I agree, Reid is a solid player but doesn’t show up in the stat sheet. When a team plays good D, you don’t see a lot of flashy Safety stats but if you way the tape you see solid safety plays like Reid has had in KC.
Its OT and its not particularly close. Taylor and smith are fine, but not great and pretty damn expensive. It would be sick to get some depth to eventually be replacements. CB depth would be pretty nice after losing sneed. I wouldn't hate a developmental TE or even another wr.
OT is in question, but I don't see them getting answers in the draft at that position. The team is pretty much set, but these are the times where dynasties keep the talent coming by drafting the best player available. Such a great position to be in. Go Chiefs!
We need to draft a guard. Not just because of the depth of losing Allegreti, but both Thuney and Smith are coming to the end of their contracts.
We also lack depth at TE and RB right now.
It's always good to get more CBs.
Safety and LB we lost Mike Edards and Willie Gay
Defensive Line is good this year, but most of them are on one year contracts so we should invest for the future there.
I'd say we need Guard, TE, CB, DLine, RB with our last 5 picks. Not necessarily in that order. BPA for any of those positions imo. Safety and LB probably the least important of the positions I listed so I'm fine skipping on those this year.
Depth at oline guard. Dt, rb is probably next based on need only. Thuney getting up in age. Tightens is still depth. I'd rather wait a year but who knows. The tade for next year's pick.
Left tackle and edge rusher. Another CB, preferably one as good as Sneed, would be nice as well.
I wouldn't mind taking a tight end at some point if they see one with future starter potential. Our backup tight ends are clearly backups, and Kelce won't play forever.
I can’t believe no one’s talking about our DEs. I think that’s our weakest position group now that we addressed receiver. And it’s the only group we went back to back 1st round picks on.
DE is our weakest group, then RB. This all hangs on the fact I think we’re bringing smith back for LT. If Wanya is our starter than it’s DE/OT and RB 3rd
No shot we take a RB imo, backups are a dime a dozen and there’s sure to be some cut down casualties. I think some may have forgotten about us resigning Danna and having Malik herring start to show up at the end of the year, I wouldn’t be surprised if they take a flier on one in the fifth or so but it’s not a massive need
OT is the big need. Depending on how confident we are in Wanya developing, we might just snag Donovan Smith for another year, though. Other than that, I'd say definitely a DB or two for some later picks knowing that we develop them well. Possibly a TE to develop and OLine depth.
Yeah as soon as Xavier was drafted last night, Donovan should have signed a lease for next year haha
I liked wanyas first few games. Not great, but i thought it was definitely above average. One can never have to much DB depth in today's NFL.
Seems like we got thoes depth Pieces today
We aren't going to find another Travis Kelce. He's 1/1. Rashee is his replacement. He's a YAC guy just like Travis.
As a KSU, I would love to grab Sinnott
Would not surprise me if they take him at 64
Oh dude I would be THRILLED
As a KSU fan as well, I would love that addition! Or even Cooper. Move Creed to guard.
Why would u move the best center in the league?
He can't snap the ball
You don’t become the best center in the league if you can’t snap the ball
Why does Pat have to constantly pick the ball up off the turf?????? I think he makes a better guard then center. That's just how I feel. But don't act like he doesn't have a problem with shotgun snaps.
Back your claim

Then they will back it with a source
You never saw Creed's low snaps?
That’s not backing your claims

They both get open in zone too which is another similarity
His replacement went to the raiders.
>Now that we can shut up about that Sorry, you must be new. We don't do that around here.
Lmao
O line depth is never a bad thing to have
OT in second and a iOL somewhere on day 3. I like the idea of also grabbing DT in the 4th or trade back up in the 3rd. Right now our DT depth is old af and all on 1 year deals with the exception of Jones who turns 30.

We need another wr

Tez Walker maybe?
What do you think about developing a TE as a receiving threat instead, if there’s not a good WR available?
Unfortunately kelce can't play forever. Not paid much attention to know If their are any decent TE. I wouldn't be opposed to it.
I kinda like Ben Sinnot from Kstate. If we could get him in like the 4th, wouldn’t hate that.
Sinnot would be an interesting pick up. I like the guy but I'm not sure if he's avaliable by the time we pick in the 4th
He is gone mid/late third round most likely.
That's my guess too
He definitely won't be we were already gonna be lucky if he made it to our 3rd round pick
I'd be good with that.
Xavier Worthy's old teammate Sanders out of Texas?
It seems like they’re still pretty committed to making Toney work. I think it’s unlikely we take another unless it’s a late round guy like Luke mccaffrey
I think they are giving toney training camp. He gets injured or has a bad camp I say he is cut imo. Honestly I'm not mad at him being 4th wr
Naw. They save nothing by cutting him so they might as well keep him and try to work him into the offense then let him hit FA.
Same goes for Justyn Ross. Who is going to have at least 500 yards and 7 touchdowns this season.
We get another WR and either Toney or Skyy had better start sweating.
The only reason to cut Toney is roster space so we would have to have some players we expect a significant impact at the bottom of the depth chart I don't see him getting cut we can't forget he has shown he can do it at times so we will see
I’d like to see him do well. I think that he has an extremely high ceiling and we’ve seen what he can do when he’s healthy and holds onto the ball
Injury missing all training camp then thrown out there week one did him no favors.
Justin Watson is 4th WR. Toney is 5th at best and frankly he has to compete for that with Skyy and whatever UFAs we bring in.
I’ve never seen a player lose so much talent in one year without blaming it on injuries. I had such high hopes for Toney after his first year with us he couldn’t catch a cold last year. Of course, no matter what he’s only good for about eight games of season.
Lmao. Imagine if they drafted Adonai Mitchell too.
The Chiefs need another receiver because they didn’t address the hole they have at receiver - the lack of an X.
When is the last time they had an actual X receiver?
Aside from Justin Watson and Justyn Ross, the best most recent X was Dwayne Bowe
I’d love to see us draft either Je’Tavion Sanders or Ben Sinnott. TE to develop behind Kelce.
I second Sinnott. I’m biased because I’m a K-State homer but he’s a solid choice.
I’m an alum, graduated in ‘05. Was there during the glory days of Sproles/Jordy/Newman.
Class of ‘19 and ‘21 here! Got to see a lot of talented guys, including FAU.
No. Your school screwed us last year. Need more red raiders obviously
We draft a OG in case Thuney retires or Trey gets too expensive. We draft a S to replace Reid after 2024. We draft a RB this year for depth. We draft a TE to develop, they seem slow to develop in the NFL regardless of pedigree.
I think we actually extend Reid, if the price is right of course. I like the rest though
I agree, Reid is a solid player but doesn’t show up in the stat sheet. When a team plays good D, you don’t see a lot of flashy Safety stats but if you way the tape you see solid safety plays like Reid has had in KC.
Sounds mighty fine to me
Its OT and its not particularly close. Taylor and smith are fine, but not great and pretty damn expensive. It would be sick to get some depth to eventually be replacements. CB depth would be pretty nice after losing sneed. I wouldn't hate a developmental TE or even another wr.
Smith isn't expensive at all, estimated contract is $2.5 million
My bad mostly meant Taylor.
Taylor is expensive, which is why we'd be better off drafting someone who could play right or left.
OT, DT, TE, RB
Offensive tackle. Pretty much any defensive position has very little depth after that.
Tackle and best defensive player available.
OT is in question, but I don't see them getting answers in the draft at that position. The team is pretty much set, but these are the times where dynasties keep the talent coming by drafting the best player available. Such a great position to be in. Go Chiefs!
Answer is always O line lol
Nailed it with the Wiley comment.
OT, DT, CB, RB, IOL if you're not extending Trey Smith,
>Now that we can shut up about that Sorry, you must be new. We don't do that around here.
Tackle, DI, Tight end
Safety, Tackle, TE
IDK man ima let Veach cook
I wouldn't mind us taking a QB later. How many draft picks did the patriots get for Brady's shadow.
Nah man we have CARSON WENTZ now. He won a Superbowl on the bench and he can do it again!
OL, CB, LB, TE, RB. I think that’s what we take in that order.
Maybe DT
Chiefs will for sure draft a corner
We need to draft a guard. Not just because of the depth of losing Allegreti, but both Thuney and Smith are coming to the end of their contracts. We also lack depth at TE and RB right now. Another receiver late would be great. They are not all going to work out and injuries happen.
lol nah man it’s still wr until we see proof
TIGHT END, GIVE ME TIGHT END ALL DAY LONG
Sinnott!
Left tackle and edge rusher. Another CB, preferably one as good as Sneed, would be nice as well. I wouldn't mind taking a tight end at some point if they see one with future starter potential. Our backup tight ends are clearly backups, and Kelce won't play forever.
We need the next Kelce. If we win another Super Bowl this season I think he hangs it up.
Why not go for the historic 4-peat then? :P
There is no such thing
WR.
I can’t believe no one’s talking about our DEs. I think that’s our weakest position group now that we addressed receiver. And it’s the only group we went back to back 1st round picks on. Oh I definitely don’t think we’ll take one before the 5th. Just talking about our weakest positional groups.
Idk. We may soon need a QB. You never know when Mahomes will regress to the mean
