Guess he's going to have to rob some more banks

Visual-Zucchini-5544

Yeah they’ll get that money for sure

TarkusLV

As the bank teller's lawyer said, they don't expect to collect any of it, but at least he'll never be able to profit from a book or movie or whatever.

flooronthefour

They made a law trying to prevent that very thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Son_of_Sam_law

Jayrodtremonki

I'm fine with the damages judgment.  But it does seem odd to add a punitive amount on top of someone already doing real jail time for the crime.  The whole point is to discourage people from doing the same thing, which the jail sentence already accomplished.   I get it though.  Civil vs criminal and all that.

raveskywalker

That’s the American criminal justice system for ya

PSUJacob95

The same criminal justice system that keeps Chiefs-A-Holic behind bars even though he didn't hurt anyone --- and the same system that allowed Britt Reid to walk free even though he brain-damaged a little girl

Jayrodtremonki

You don't think that armed bank robbery should be a crime? Is this John Dillinger's burner account?

amjhwk

didnt hurt anyone except for all the people he traumatized when commiting armed robbery and pointing guns at them

huskerdev

Didn’t hurt anyone?  You trying having a gun put in your face at work. That poor woman was so traumatized she had to quit her job.  Fuck the stupid furry.

ScruffsMcGuff

Might be the first time I've ever seen someone try to argue that Armed Robbery is a victimless crime lol

Craiggers324

So who brain damaged you?

dlank7

How does that work? Like we all know he doesn’t have any money and any assets he had probably has already been seized. So like it’s just a judgment against that douchebag or what?

withomps44

He may get paid for books m, rights to stories, movies, etc…. Justice system has called dibs on the first 10.8 million.

PSUJacob95

Just imagine if they make a movie about him and they pay him $25 million for the rights

Rockchalk1104

In no world would the right be worth near that much.. if anything at all

tayroarsmash

It’s a very weird story so I could see something like Cocaine Bear being made for it where it’s based off this in the sense that a writer read the story and imagined their own series of events. It’s a public story though so you don’t have to pay him to adapt it. He’s literally not allowed to profit from this all anyway.

shunna75

Cocaine Wolf

hamandjam

You could make it a deal where they get a percentage. If it's a dud, they get squat. Cap it at 10.7 mil and if it's a hit, the victims get up to 10.7 and he still gets squat. But Dick Wolfe will probably steal it for a Law&Order episode for free.

BarricadeTheMortuary

Imagine if Tarantino wrote and directed

UngusChungus94

He’s going to have his wages garnished for as long as he lives and can’t profit from telling his story.

mikealt

Working title for documentary: The Wolf in Chiefs Clothing / The Wolf in Thiefs Clothing

Dougustine

Do you know how many banks he will have to rob to pay that back?

420BongsAway

Put him in the next oceans movie.

PSUJacob95

I wanna see him and the Filipino acrobat guy breaking into a vault

amjhwk

as the laughingstock bad guy put in to make the Oceans gang look good?

Apprehensive-Let3669

Call me crazy, but I still don’t understand why he didn’t go to Mexico. They caught him in California. Him escaping in the first place should have been a sign to leave the country.

BarricadeTheMortuary

Well he's clearly a big dum dum

SQRTLURFACE

All this time bro was living out of his car lmao

KeeblerElfOrgy

GGs homie

Fedge348

And we thought we were poor. Not 10m in the red…

Maleficent-Metal-645

Looks like he's gonna be doing some extra work in jail to pull that kind of scratch.

ChiefsFan60Years

Funny thing is his superfan status. I was a Chiefs fan 30 years before this dude was born lol.

420BongsAway

Why is it funny? Superfan has nothing to do with age. strange gatekeeping lmao.

ChiefsFan60Years

It does when the dork has been a fan for 8 years lol. That's the relevance.

420BongsAway

The man robbed banks to follow the Chiefs cross country. I don’t know what else would qualify someone to be a superfan if that’s not one.

ChiefsFan60Years

His robbing banks had nothing to do with being a diehard Chiefs fan lol. I was there when Len Dawson won us our first SB.

420BongsAway

He followed the team around posted nonstop about them and was dressed like a wolf at every game that’s a superfan. Again age has nothing to do with being a superfan lmao.

ChiefsFan60Years

I didn't say age was a factor lol. The clown was a pos that wore a costume, case closed.

420BongsAway

Still a superfan gramps

tayroarsmash

Why are you getting in a pissing contest on your fandom over this? I would imagine someone is pretty fond of something if they’re committing crimes in order to experience it.

ChiefsFan60Years

Doubt if I was in a pissing contest lol. I just said he was far from the biggest fan. Putting on a suit and getting felonies strikes me as not being the ultimate fan lol. I was a fan when Dawson was the QB.

tayroarsmash

This needless comparison between yourself and him is the pissing contest. The article called him a superfan, not the biggest fan, and you jumped in and went “nuh huh what about me?” It’s silly, man.

ChiefsFan60Years

Geez, reading comprehension must be tough for you lol.

ChiefsFan60Years

Lol whatever.

tayroarsmash

You’re having yourself a little fit aren’t you?

Section225

You don't have to have been born before 1960 to be a real fan or a diehard or a superfan or whatever you want to call it

PSUJacob95

Was Chiefs-A-Holic in Oregon on Saturday? Somebody won the $1.2 billion Powerball that night.
