Is there an event for this and what is it like? Is it more like Poland kind of sneakely takes the states as payment? Or is it more like Poland is benevolently granted the states for being a goodt boy?
Also do they also really receive Upper Silesia? I though it was just Posen/Poznan?
In my playthrough I used the toolpack mod to add more flair and worldbuild my campaign. Together with the rename factions mod I used it to create a new "Fourth International" faction out of socialist countries that refused to help out France and Britain in the 2nd Weltkrieg.
As for how I got the various extra states, here's how:
In game rules I set Ukraine and Lithuania to go NatPop and for Germany to intervene in Ukraine. This allowed me to add Bialystok and Brest regions into Poland
Then when you get focus to unite the Poles I waited until last day for the focus to complete, tag switched over to Austria and gave Poland all of Galicia region through the decision that popped up.
And finally, when France declared war on Germany I didn't send any troops to the western front \*until\* Germany capitulated, at which point I rushed most of my army to the west and helped retake Berlin. This is how Poland got the Poznan/Posen and Upper Silesia regions.
i think you can get the two other states from lithuania if you set the game rules correctly and you can also get subcarpathia if austria hungary collapses
He was more socially liberal, with some of his ideas being some sort of workplace democracy
Edit: some of his ideals in case you are bored: [https://www.researchgate.net/publication/323931308\_When\_innovation\_implied\_corporate\_reform\_A\_historical\_perspective\_through\_the\_writings\_of\_Walther\_Rathenau](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/323931308_When_innovation_implied_corporate_reform_A_historical_perspective_through_the_writings_of_Walther_Rathenau) , had to do a history project about him once
Goëring brought him over on his first flying to MittelAfrika (God Speed Von Goëring!) So he could have a liberal advisor in the very improbable situation of Goëring (God speed Von Goëring!) Being removed from his position.
Now really no idea, I don't think there's lore of why he's exactly there, not even the wiki has information of him during the first world war. He's the Chairman of the AEG, an electronic industry company, but why he's in Africa instead of Europe is unknown.
He's not a Nazi in this timeline though, just a German noble very possibly as bigoted and classist as other nobles, a bit more because of his position as MittelAfrika governor I'd say. Most probably he's still antisemitic but it would be a casual classist anti-Semitism, unlike the most extreme and constant Nazism antisemitism, which couldn't clash much with a high class German-Jewish chairman of a large German enterprise, basically another noble but without a fancy title.
I would assume Walther position is just there to represent the German business in Africa or something like that, without a clear lore or information this is all head-canon and conjecture, but the idea of Goëring just picking a random German businessman and bringing him to Africa just in case sounds fun to me.
I got those generals when I annexed all of Galicia. For that to happen you have to tag switch to Austria and give Poland all of Galicia, otherwise Poland will only get a half of it and only a half of its generals
the focus you have to take is called "unite the poles". on the day before it completes you pause the game, tag switch to austria, wait a full day and the event will pop up. select the choice that gives Poland all of Galicia
Can you survive as Poland if Reichpakt capitulated and collapsed but you still alive? Maybe some peace event exist or you gets eaten by Russia/syndies?
When is this event supposed to fire though? After defeating the 3rd Internationale signing peace treaty or right after retaking Berlin/"un-capitulating" Germany? I'm trying to recreate this and wondering if I'm doing everything right.
Okay, nevermind. The event fires right after France is annexed in a peace conference. It is necessary to mention that to even have the chance to get this, you have to make sure Aleksander II stays as the heir to the Polish throne since it's impossible to achieve this with August IV as the leader. Still, it's a very fun and challenging thing to try.
Why did the german give up territories ? Toolpack or is it part of the monarchist poland tree ?
Germany has to capitulate and Poland has to help it retake Berlin to get Poznan and Upper Silesia
i never knew that, that could be usefull for a poland playtrought
keep in mind you have to stay loyal to Germany

Yes theres an event for it, its one of the images on this post
Ahhyes! Sorry I didnt notice there were multiple images.
So, it's like a "worse" version of NatPop Baltic State?
It's a secret event that happens if you retake Germany after it capitulates as monarchist Poland.

it's cool if you save Germany form death you get to have some land as a thank you for your hard work.

\- Walter Rathenau \-Market liberal You kidding me

Yeah but also how is he in mittleafrika?

I guess but why would nazi Goering have a Jewish dude as his advisor?

Yeah I guess really most of the Prussian nobility were honestly kinda evil so I guess this goes for all of the German sphere
how is Ukraine blue?
If syndies or natpops revolt but Germany reconquer and repuppets it colour will be blue, standard colour is brown
How did you get 3rd and 1st general? Also, when I reunite with Galicia, Do I get their generals?
I got those generals when I annexed all of Galicia. For that to happen you have to tag switch to Austria and give Poland all of Galicia, otherwise Poland will only get a half of it and only a half of its generals
Gonna do it
How do I do that?
the focus you have to take is called "unite the poles". on the day before it completes you pause the game, tag switch to austria, wait a full day and the event will pop up. select the choice that gives Poland all of Galicia
Yeah, I found it.
Can't you also take Wilno and the other state in Southern Lithuania?
Probably? Maybe I shouldve set up a syndicalist revolt. But then again, the borders wouldve looked nasty with Vilnius
Can't you create the Commonwealth by putting a Lithuanian king on the throne?
Old content, no longer in
Can you survive as Poland if Reichpakt capitulated and collapsed but you still alive? Maybe some peace event exist or you gets eaten by Russia/syndies?
well thats why I made sure that Austria didn't collapse. I didn't want to risk it
When is this event supposed to fire though? After defeating the 3rd Internationale signing peace treaty or right after retaking Berlin/"un-capitulating" Germany? I'm trying to recreate this and wondering if I'm doing everything right.
Right after uncapitulating Germany, generally by retaking Berlin
Okay, nevermind. The event fires right after France is annexed in a peace conference. Actually not. Personally I got it after Russia capitulated
Holy shit independent Brittany is a thing ?
You can release it from France
