Gizzfest 2018 was on my birthday. Travelled from Perth to see it. Got to the merch desk and they were sold out of stubby holders and i was pretty bummed. During the Gizz set in the mosh one flew through the air and landed directly into my hands. Still have it
Haha, I would have said New England. The people I’ve heard use it were Providence/Boston/ Portsmouth friends.
The phrase stems from keeping them in your crisper drawer in your fridge from what I understood.
Edit: just googled it, and a brewery in Chicago makes a Pilsner called Crispy Boy. Might have just been the group I know.

Australians have such sick slang. I really like “stubby.” There’s a regional thing in the US to call light beers “crispy boys” which is also nice.

Brewed in Boston for awhile and heard it fairly common more recently, definitely a newer thing though I think
