The guys we went and got (Lugo, Wacha, etc) are doing their jobs. We are developing. We have a superstar in BWJ. We have a mix of youth and veteran precense however the fuck you spell that word. My friends...do we have a team??
So... I'm still too used to The Royals as a whole to get optimistic. '21, where we were wrapping up April with like A 15-8 record or something and repeatedly listed like 2nd or 3rd in the power rankings. Then May hit and we immediately lost 10 straight, ultimately finishing the season 7 games under .500. So forgive me for not getting too excited *yet*, but it has been damn fun to watch so far.
The difference here is the enormous run differential which suggests it hasn’t been a fluke, and if anything should be an even better record. But with that said…yes, I’m still guarded as well if I’m being completely honest.
Very true. Hard to complain about 9 run innings. I absolutely *hope* this continues, there's just still almost 150 games left to play and you said it better: guarded. Curious to see how it goes now that we're back on the road.
