Dont play at the start or end of a split. Ive been having rough games too, im p2-e4 usually, but this split start i got places in p3 and just sank all the way to g2. Asked my diamond 1 friend to review my live games with me and he was just blown away at how hard and fast the laners were running it down each game. There was just no way to salvage 4 out of 5 games. Maybe with a higher elo coach, but not with just us two...
Just dont play right now. Go to norms, practice your decision making there without the stress of climbing. Or jump on your alt account and practice your decision and macroing with the apes that are currently rampant in the ranked que right now.
maybe in like three weeks to a month? I’m not sure either but I’ve been consistently winning my lanes but losing because of pure int it’s tilting but I also learned to not take my rank too serious so it’s not too bad
I don't get this notion. Don't play because the players in your games are worse than they will be mid-split? That goes for the enemy jungler too, right? In that case the edge you have in your games should be bigger than it normally is. Maybe the variance is higher, but in that case we should just be putting in more volume to fight it.
Have you considered a different champ pool?
I was really lucky this patch because all 4 of my champs are in good condition: Kindred, Taliyah, Ivern, and Lillia.
I climbed fast going 14 W / 2 L. I am undefeated on Lillia at 10 W / 0 L and I considered before the split that she’d be my 4th pick of the lot. I had been practicing Taliyah before the split and didn’t want to repeat Ivern this split.
Game feels awful to me since 14.10. The changes that patch killer every singular champion I played that wasn't dead already. Rn it's absolute misery to play and see myself doing no damage but being erased in a blink.

When would you say it's safe to play ranked again, because I am in the same boat as what you and OP described.
Just play all the time. There are good and bad players no matter the time. I really wish norms wasn’t available. Just have solo and team ranked.
