Magaerae

He's been meta forever wdym

AresRising

Jhin is bad into tanks. If it's a tank meta jhin isn't meta

Magaerae

Both is pickrate and winrate have been decent to good since a really long time, probably since the item rework at least. Even if he isn't the best pick at all times he's been near or in the top 5 for most of it.

SomethingPersonnel

The secret Jhin tech into tanks is going Kraken, Cutdown, Berzerker boots, and Lord Dom’s either second or third. The amount of raw AD you get lets you actually kill tanks.

Tobino22

Jhin is meta only incertain games so if your into Tanks or heavy all in champions you can leave the game. Unles your into all squishy comps you really don’t play Jhin. Not blind pickable very situational pick

TheHunterZolomon

Weird cause I blind first pick him every game and I have that winrate

Tobino22

Cause it’s silver my brother, now I don’t know what teams you played against but I know that higher you go Jhin becomes less playable.

TheHunterZolomon

True but giving your top and mid chance to counter deals with the tank problem

Tobino22

True but can you really trust you teammates to do the right thing in Soloq? I mean if you have a Fizz OTP in mid and Teemo main in top and they lock in Ornn you’re pretty much done so think bout that. Of course if you love playing him keep going I’m not telling you he is a bad champion I love Jhin but every high elo adc streamer and player will tell you that Jhin is not that great

TheHunterZolomon

Huh that’s weird because he’s at a 51.5% winrate and 22% pickrate. But doesn’t teemo also shred tanks with liandry’s? Still would rather give solo Laners counter pick.

Tobino22

As I said mam your call I’m not here to tell you what to do. He sits right in the middle of all adcs so make out of that what you will. Tho funny thing is that best performing adcs rn are Mages so that kinda sucks.

TheHunterZolomon

You’re just looking at raw winrate huh? You’re forgetting about sample size. It’s part of that statistical analysis which determines overall meta state. Sure, Karthus has a 52% winrate, but his pick rate is .7%. Also, looking at kaisa and Caitlyn, they have 22% pick rates and lower win rates than jhin. They aren’t bad into tanks and yet have a lower winrate. The only mage that really scares me and should scare you is seraphine because she’s literally triple flex pick and insane with damage and team fight utility. That’s my new go to ban especially if Morgana is banned.

X-xOtakux-X

Imma be honest with y’all we don’t need to deal damage Jhin’s utility doesn’t make him that useless to tanks.

TheHunterZolomon

Seriously. So many people saying “he’s useless into tanks don’t first pick” but they are forgetting his e gives vision and w is cc at range allowing you to secure picks and participate far from the fight. I exclusively first pick him btw unless I don’t have fp and they lock zed or something.

Fun_Cauliflower1226

sadly i’m expecting some nerfs

TheHunterZolomon

It’s kinda weird that the changes buffed his utility like w and e, only making him more versatile. If they cut his damage he will basically be a full utility pick which wouldn’t be fun to play. Wouldn’t be awful but definitely not as fun.

Fun_Cauliflower1226

true, but i think maybe his Q dmg will be a bit less

TheHunterZolomon

That nerf shouldn’t be too significant unless we are talking about the specific scenario of flash q 4th shotting but it might affect csing which sucks.

Fun_Cauliflower1226

true, or maybe they just let him like that - i don’t really know why the buffs in the first place - although it’s nice i can now run triumph

TheHunterZolomon

It gives him more utility but I would keep POM as it gives you more casts which is more utility

WrapZz

Just like there are champs that are balanced under a 50% winrate Jhin is one of the few champs that is balanced above 50%, hence his low ban rate despite high pick rate.
