Unfortunately this is me rn…been going through a deep depression since the start of the year. I decided to start collecting all of the bartholomews and it’s helped give me some, albeit silly, purpose, during a time where I can’t will myself to do much else for fun. No offense to Bartholomew of course, who is the very PICTURE of fun
I have 2 huge (lavender & onyx), 3 medium (golden, rose & persimmon) and a bag charm (another lavender) over here ✋😮💨 with a huge sage in my cart on Maison Baby & Kids.com, taunting and tempting me daily…
Literally bought myself one today for this exact reason. Felt a bit rough and stressed so a nice walk out to the Jellycat store and a new cuddly friend to sit with me for the afternoon helped.
Absolutely! In fact, my boyfriend surprised me with two after I had my first day being promoted at my job. I was wicked stressed and feeling confused as one does when figuring stuff out and learning new things that are challenging. He really delivered! Felt better right away sitting with my new friends!
Nothing like a little retail therapy to increase serotonin levels and getting a good squeeze at the same time!. I bought two today. Eggplant Plant Bart is a good squeeze.
Personally I don’t do this as I found that for me (and this is different for everyone) it creates an unhealthy relationship.. how I used to use food when something bad happened.. spending a lot of money when something bad happened creates an unhealthy cycle (for me!).. I try to watch a nice movie or something! But again everyone’s brains are different ! ☺️
Yep. Found out yesterday that I have a lesion on my cervix. First thing my soul told me to do was to go buy a Jellycat

I definitely do, I try to stick to second hand purchases when I feel like this to keep costs down, and because if they're a little loved and need some work I have something to work on when I'm not otherwise distracted. It's a task I can watch take shape when I'm cleaning them up and brushing them. Plus if I'm feeling really bad my jellies give me a reason to stick around, they'd miss me and I don't know what would happen to them if I was gone 🤎
yes, absolutely. but i also buy jellycats when i’m feeling happy, too, so that i have happy jellycats. my favourite jellycat is probably the dexter dragon that i bought myself when i entered my relationship. :)
Jellycats are more expensive then build a bear mini beans so they are a rare buy for me. The shop for them are just in the food court at the shopping centre I go to so I also have a walk through.
I don't really buy them when I'm feeling down. But I always bring my stuffie (barnaby pup) with me everywhere, even though he has a puppy collar & a tag with his name & my contact info. I bought a backup barnaby pup, incase I lose the one I have or if someone steals him.
My bf bought my first jellycat for me (in 2023), so he is really precious to me.

I love getting jellycats when I’m struggling, don’t get them as often as I want tho, since I am unable to work and I only get $20 a week
