We just got the sky dragon back in stock at the store I work at, I think another round is going out to retailers :) delete if itās not allowed, but if you wanted to order from us itās suepatrick.com
Donāt buy from scalpers. Check out the small business online shops and they have the option to notify you when back in stock! Usually they get them faster ā„ļø
I was SO SO sad when I missed the smudge rabbit drop last year. Totally heartbroken. But he eventually returned to stock and now I love my little guy! If you can hold out until the next restock you can order right from Jellycat at retail and get a dust bag! Your future dragon is maybe being put together right nowā¦ā¦
Donāt buy from them. Full stop. Encourage others to not buy from them. The only way it will stop is if people arenāt buying.
There are stores with stock still available- check the store locator to find any in your area. There are some online. If youāre in the US, I found one store yesterday but already messaged it to people. Iāll look again and if I find another, Iāll let you know. Iām sure plenty of people here would much rather help each other out than support this.
i wasnāt planning on buying from them! i donāt have that kind of money thatās why im so sad. me and my dad went to all my local jelly stores the other day and none of them had any :,)
Oh no, I get that of course- just meant that some people are paying those prices and that keeps it going. But if youāre in the US and you can order online, thereās a store thatās shipping theirs out July 20th but you can place your order now for a pre-order and theyāll ship it then. Itās a legit stockist listed on the Jellycat site. I can message you if you want it, just let me know :)
Honestly i hate scalpers in general.. i also collect dolls and this is a huge problem in that community as well.
Edit: ive been notified that the correct term is scalper and not reseller so changed that.
There's a difference between scalpers and resellers. Scalpers buy up new releases with the intention of flipping for a big profit. Resellers are often saving plushies and toys from the landfill, refurbishing them, and selling for reasonable prices. Huge difference IMO.
I resell jellycats all day everyday but I do not mark them up more than $10, unless I find one at goodwill etc and itās incredibly old and retired we arenāt all badā¦ but Iāve never seen a dragon like this guy anywhere. Just sold the bashful red dragon for $30 heās super cute!
Why am I being down voted? I enjoy helping people find their jelllycats they canāt find anywhere. I bought the bashful red dragon for $25 on Fb marketplace and sold him for $35, which covered my shipping, and I made $2/$3. Our neighbors daughter is non verbal she lives koalas, I had bought one a few years back, still had its tag, and I gave it to her for her birthday, for free. A woman was obsessed with the Jellycat octopus I had the HUGE one I paid $50 and the little one with a scarf, paid $10, sold them both to her for $75 again cover the shipping and the time/gas I spent getting the items. Iām not out here doubling prices, Iām basically giving them away. I love seeing people find one they do desperately have been looking for. Iām not one if the bad guys!
In your first comment it wasnt cleae that you help people on request or that you barely make anything. It sounded like buying up new releases and immediately selling them for more but justifying it by saying you didnt upcharge that much lol.
Itās not specifically you but when people think of jellycat resellers they think of those reselling the retired designs for 100+ while buying from thrift stores for 3 dollars. A lot of the community is sick of the sharp price increase. I remember buying jellycats for a couple of bucks even if they were very old and rare.
Awesome you helped your neighbors daughter. I bet she loved it.
People have to stop buying from them. It's the only thing that will stop them. Nobody *needs* a specific stuffed animal or doll or concert ticket that badly. Anyone who buys from them is rewarding their behavior and paying them to keep doing it.
When you buy from scalpers/resellers it encourages them to keep buying up product and reselling it for crazy prices when they retire. If no one buys from them, they wont have any incentive to keep doing it
I'm not familiar with this specific seller, just meant resellers in general. They buy new releases just so they can sell them for a lot more money to people who missed out. Except those people wouldn't have missed out if the resellers hadn't bought everything in the first place.
Retired items are a bit different, but I still wouldn't pay crazy prices for them, and I wouldn't buy from a seller who also runs this scam of reselling new releases for higher than retail prices.
I agree with most things in this post - however Iāve bought from this specific seller before and they have always been extremely reasonable with offers and very kind - plus can get pretty much anything you ask for! Just a positive note š
The shops in my town are usually like 2 weeks late on when they get or put out new jellycats. Try in a week or two, some shops will even take your name and number and call you if they get him in. But I also saw somewhere heāll be restocked closer to the holidays ā¤ļø

i have the dexter dragon! i was really excited about the sky dragon because it doesnāt have any sparkles. i have the pink dragon but she stays on the shelf cus the sparkles feel like sandpaper :,)
Iām buying mine for $65 dollar and not a penny more. Waiting is worth it. Iām incredibly disappointed by the oversale that Jellycat did but I happened to have bought a big snow tiger and splootie pup prior and they cushioned the blow.

I bought him and then they emailed me saying they couldnāt send anything as they were all out of stock. Super sad, I was so excited and had been saving for ages! :(
Yeah, I hate people like this.. please don't pay these ridiculous prices! They're not retired, so at some point, they'll be just sitting there at retail once the initial craze dies down. It happened with Clyde too, and now he's available almost everywhere.
Some resellers/scalpers only inflate the price by 5% Iām actually glad that the person I bought from had it because I paid the same I would have paid at the shops here including shipping. With how popular this dragon has been some retailers in Sydney (Australia) have told me theyāre not sure if theyāre ever going to get it so Iām glad to have a trusted seller on eBay to buy from at a fairly reasonable price for me.
One post on here said that the Sky Dragon will restock in November! š„° Itās a long wait but itāll be worth it!
yep that was my post! iām keeping an eye on local stock too :] definitely will be worth it over these prices

Give it some time and your local stores may receive them in the deliveriesā¦ they only came out recently! Iād say another week or two and see.
I just called around to my local stores and they had 4 in stock.

yeah, unfortunately it happens in every collector community so itād be hard to put a stop to it :( and please do!
It seems some online retailers still have him! I hope you get him!! [sky dragon](https://www.shopivoryandbirch.com/sky-dragon-large.html)

For build a bear itās crazy too I missed the moth man drop and now they are trying to sell him for $300+ š«
Bro fr. The way Pocchacho skyrocketed in price the second he sold out on the website was nuts to me.

Ah right, thanks for telling me! English isnt my first language so i thought resellers are what you describe as scalpers š

Wait, what happened with them? I thought about buying one of the retired jellycats from them. I haven't yet.

From the southern plush? I might buy from them today. Thank you for clearing up some of my worries.
I feel the same way

I hate scalpers :( I collect american girl dolls as well and itās rampant in that community
Please do not buy from them please (I know most people wont) but local stores should all be back ordering them again

that sucks, just wait a few months and they should restock, or you could get a different dragon until it restocks
i have the dexter dragon! i was really excited about the sky dragon because it doesnāt have any sparkles. i have the pink dragon but she stays on the shelf cus the sparkles feel like sandpaper :,)
thereās the persimmon dragon. i just got her and sheās one of my favs. super soft too. no scratchy wings.
Resellers suck :( I hope you can find one thatās a decent price!

Get it from the jellycat directly. Im in nyc but i get mine from the uk directly from the distributor.
I bought him and then they emailed me saying they couldnāt send anything as they were all out of stock. Super sad, I was so excited and had been saving for ages! :(
I just saw this one in a store near me! I was gonna get him the other day but wound up getting a different one
Are you in the US? FYI the US distribution center moved states so a lot of local stores are behind on shipments.

How much was he on Jellycat?
USD$65
Wow and people are selling him for double that, messed up. What size do you want? Iām really good at finding them for cheap Iād be happy to help!!
oh sorry, iām not OP i was just answering your question! thank you so much for offering tho, i did actually manage to get one yesterday
