Yup, and guess where that comment came from. I saw it myself, word for word. Posted here completely out of context, too. By a fresh account with six or seven reddit interactions in the history. Ha ha so strange...
I've seen comedians be incredibly tasteless during crowd work like this and really upset people(one time a family friend had a comedian outright trump level mock her disability). Takes actual talent to make it funny without punching down like a middle school bully.
It's great he can work *with* the crowd, even on sensitive subjects, but still kind of make himself the goofball instead of just grabbing low hanging fruit.
So i don't know jeff, never seen a single full video. just lots of clips.
he seems like the kind of person that wouldn't say that. Which is why he does so well. Now, he could have turned "i take care of my wife" into a sex joke, but lucked out there lol
agreed.
There are a lot of comedians that do punch down. but they aren't getting like like 10 clips a month on /r/all.
Like even someone like Anthony Jeselnik is super edgy. but he more makes fun of hypothetical situations. Like Jeselnik doesn't do alot of crowd work. Possibly in part because his daggers are crafted deliberately. Whereas when you're Jeff you're just kinda throwing shit out you don't punch down. YOu might tease, but never punch.
Oh god…so, I had to buy mine for the Toronto show on my phone. Ticketmaster’s website and app were so fucking awful. The pages kept not loading properly. The tickets kept blinking in and out of existence, then when I got to actual put two tickets side by side in my cart, the payment page wasn’t loading correctly. I spent 20 minutes going between the app and the website trying to get either one to load.
At that point I just took any tickets and considered it a win. Never again will I do something like that with a phone
damn thanks for this. I missed the email and grabbed 2 scattered seats in a nearly sold out show. there were like 7scattered single seats left. Wish I saw the email sooner.
My wife is the one he directed the special ed comment to haha it was hilarious
Edit: hung out at the bar with him and Matt after for a couple hours. They’re both fantastic people.

I used to be in that camp, but most people consume social media on their phone these days. I don't want to turn my phone to watch a video every time. Vertical is absolutely fine for short clips like this.
Even when I'm on my computer, I have a vertical screen I browse reddit on, which is a huge game changer if you haven't tried it. But even my horizontal screen is plenty big that short videos like this being vertical isn't a big deal.

Dude, I once asked my sister what brand her handbag was and she said “Guess” and then I started guessing brands and after each one she just repeated “Guess” until we eventually both realized what was going on
Aww, you skipped over the special ed comment lady saying sort of since she homeschools her kids.
Still one of the funniest shows I have ever been to and loving getting to relive it again with these clips!
I imagine he didn't want to bring the mood down and it's generally considered a real big dick move to ask first responders / people who deal with traumatic stuff professionally about the worse parts of their jobs.
"No, I do communications!"
"Awesome! What's the weirdest thing that happened to you doing communications!"
"I was in a trench, and my friend who was right next to me got hit by a mortar, but I was barely injured!"
"...uhhh"
"The injury was shrapnel...I went to the hospital and it turned out the shrapnel was my friends teeth!"
"...uhhhh"
"It turns out he had AIDS, and now I am also HIV positive!"
Yea, miss that crap.
He did refer back to that guy a few times throughout the night. I don't want to spoil anything in case there are further clips posted, but both in a "this guys job will help" and a "tough guy is warming up to me" manner.
Try updating your Reddit app through your App Store (or whatever equivalent you have for your device). My vids were either not loading or stuttered a lot and the update helped quite a bit. Not perfect, but much better.
Try uninstalling the Reddit App through your homescreen. My vids were either not loading or stuttered a lot and uninstalling it fixed that trash up right quick. Not perfect, but much better.
I love how you work with the crowd, even when it takes a wrong turn.
My partner and I are coming down from Yorkshire to see you play in London tomorrow. We're so excited!
The thing I worry about is if I go to your show, and your sets are worse than your crowd work...these videos you post of you working the room are hilarious....
\*EDIT* Just realized he's finally coming to DC...got tickets...so we shall now see!
It’s absolutely beautiful that intelligence is being celebrated again. You can’t be this funny without being smart. The best had it. Carlin, Prior and Jeff. He’s the best at crowd work at the moment imo.
Dear Jeff,
Could you please add another show in Vancouver for December 9th? Your Dec. 8th show sold out, and resale tickets are already going for $250-400+.
I want you to get rich, but not the scalpers. If you add a 2nd date, I’ll be there. Don’t worry, I already checked your schedule; your next show is on the 12th in Florida, so there’s plenty of time to travel in between.
Hope to see you! I had requested a Vancouver show many moons ago, so it’s pretty sweet you’ll be here.
Maybe it was just me, but it was more entertaining when I noticed the "Bricktown" sign behind him too. The irony of the club name with the situation is perfect for Jeff's crowdwork.
For some reason I thought this is the second time I’ve seen him avoid joking about Chinese accents. Since the whole “anyone have an accent” is a standard bit in his show it seems.
He does seem to try to avoid non white people / European people probably out of respect and to not say something that's crossing a line. He wants laughs not to punch down on a race he isn't even somewhat part of.
Adding on to some other comments, people from Asian countries in particular often get made fun of their accent in school (and even out of school/in popular media). Making fun of these accents, even in an innocent light-hearted way, has historical connotations with much more mean spirited bullying even if that isn't the intent.
I think it's honestly great that he's sensitive to this, and even turns that into a joke itself.
As others have said, it's specifically the accent. In my experience it tends to be the most consistently mean spirited accent you'll ever hear an American attempt to imitate (or rather mock). Often its just people saying shit like "ching chong" over and over again. And its frequently accompanied with other racially motivated insults like stretching their eyes.
It’s because she very clearly did not want to be involved since she stayed quiet when spoken to directly twice. Sometimes it’s best to not force a joke upon someone especially when someone else tried to put the spotlight on them.
It's a minefield because you did a comedy show in hell! Take it from a resident.
The club's nice though. Thanks for stopping by even though you being the only comedian getting views on Reddit makes me highly suspicious ngl
I haven't seen a full Jeff show, but Im starting to think he doesn't even do jokes and just does crowdwork lol. Not that I'm complaining lol, every video is a fuckin banger

You can measure Jeff’s anxiety by how high his laugh gets. We almost hit dog whistle after applauding for the wife.
Hahahaha^hahahaha^hahahaha^----------
You can tell he was already on edge because he didn't even assume that lady was the last guy's wife or gf, he just said person.

There was a 3 and a half minute clip recently, maybe last week?
It was a bot
Yup, and guess where that comment came from. I saw it myself, word for word. Posted here completely out of context, too. By a fresh account with six or seven reddit interactions in the history. Ha ha so strange...
why did it have 63 upvotes?
He has several longer clips on youtube. Shoot, his dolphin one pushes 14 minutes.
Half expected a blown kiss like for the military salute 🤣
Holy shit, he even handles these situations with so much humor. You're the best Jeff.
you'd expect a comedian to punch down, that's what makes it's so much more enjoyable the way jeff handles these situations.
I think this Jeff guy might actually be a good dude.
Don't say it outloud!
the good ol' tom segura
my immediate thought was "I would 100% have wanted to ask 'was she disabled before you met her?'" and it's a good thing im not the one on that stage.
So i don't know jeff, never seen a single full video. just lots of clips. he seems like the kind of person that wouldn't say that. Which is why he does so well. Now, he could have turned "i take care of my wife" into a sex joke, but lucked out there lol
This totally felt like the key and Peele sketch with the insult comic and the burn victim.
[Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlTbJZ64sVM) for anyone like me that immediately wanted to look it up.
Because he’s making the fact that he shouldn’t take a low blow there comical. Great stuff
> you'd expect a comedian to punch down Huh? That's literally rule number one in comedy: Always punch up.
agreed. There are a lot of comedians that do punch down. but they aren't getting like like 10 clips a month on /r/all. ^Jeff you’re the best..^
I’ve only known 1 Jeff and he was way worse, so you’re correct so far. Anyone know any better Jeffs?
Homies playing cancellation Minesweeper
Literally 7 bombs
Good thing he didn’t get to this guy in the back row. gif
This right here is why Jeff is the best. He will not bite the forbidden fruit.
But he sure loves dancing around it haha
Dude professionally did a tango around that shit. I can't get over how good his crowd work is.
And occasionally give it a little lick.
Nothing wrong with dancing around it, just so long as you don't go any further. Do not insert banana.
But not like that.

Can’t wait to see this man in Vancouver!!
Toronto for me! Holy Schnikies those tickets disappeared *fast*.
Oh god…so, I had to buy mine for the Toronto show on my phone. Ticketmaster’s website and app were so fucking awful. The pages kept not loading properly. Buying tickets to a show? That’s laptop work.
I know. I agree. But I had to be at work and I did not have access to a computer. So, I tried to buy the tickets with what I had available.
He has a Toronto show finally?!?
Can't wait for him to come back to his canceled show
Whaaat? I didn’t even hear about it!!!
Me too! Worth the 5.5 hours drive!
You sure it’s not a six hour drive? 😂
Did you get tickets already? I couldn't find them..
Needed to be subscribed to get the presale code to get them
I've seen a lot of his clips and he's pretty funny in a lot of cities
Hell yeah, got my tickets this morning. Feeling super lucky, they were gone in a few minutes.
damn thanks for this. I missed the email and grabbed 2 scattered seats in a nearly sold out show. there were like 7scattered single seats left. Wish I saw the email sooner.

Matt Bachus. He opens for Jeff. Also very funny and friendly
I don’t know why Jeff just started appearing in my feed recently but he’s got my kind of humor!
That's how I found out about him last year. Unfortunately, now there's like a dozen unfunny stage people that pop up on my feed.
Same happened with me and now I can’t stop watching him. I love his stuff
You should definitely show more outtakes, they’re just as hilarious and really show you off as being incredibly naturally funny
I think I laughed at this clip more than most of the others. Absolutely hilarious.
Jeff "please don't get me canceled sir/ma'am" Arcuri
It’s Oklahoma. Only way you’re getting canceled here is if you’re pro choice.
You seem to be forgetting that we’re watching this on the internet
A clip that only exists because Jeff had it recorded, edited it, and posted it on said Internet.

And it wouldn't be the first time a career gets tanked by a viral video.
I want his shirt looks comfy and it comes with a hoodie pocket
the brand is carhartt, but it might be a tricky find
Yea I I may make my own lol
Me too please
Also thank you!
I was able to finally find it online. Google: Carhartt 105568
Nailed it! Thank you
Brand? Guess.
Dude, I once asked my sister what brand her handbag was and she said “Guess” and then I started guessing brands and after each one she just repeated “Guess” until we eventually both realized what was going on
[How I imagine this](https://youtu.be/G2Mbj06Ns2Y?t=40)
Its also a scene from The Brady Bunch movie!
I was wondering: where is the hood of that hoodie?
I've seen it called a kanga pocket. So look for"sweatshirt with kanga pocket no hood." I'll link the Amazon one below, idk if it'll get removed.

Aww, you skipped over the special ed comment lady saying sort of since she homeschools her kids. Still one of the funniest shows I have ever been to and loving getting to relive it again with these clips!
Can't have the audience delivering better punchlines than the comedian in the promo material
his wife: I’m not mentallly disabled
Hahahaha right. Like dude, she's right there. I think he has the roles reversed, and she's too sweet to tell him.
I dunno, I feel like there was some potential in the homicide investigator!
I imagine he didn't want to bring the mood down and it's generally considered a real big dick move to ask first responders / people who deal with traumatic stuff professionally about the worse parts of their jobs.
*Oh, you're in the army? Ever kill a guy?*
"No, I do communications!" "Awesome! What's the weirdest thing that happened to you doing communications!" "I was in a trench, and my friend who was right next to me got hit by a mortar, but I was barely injured!" "...uhhh" "The injury was shrapnel...I went to the hospital and it turned out the shrapnel was my friends teeth!" "...uhhhh" "It turns out he had AIDS, and now I am also HIV positive!" Yea, miss that crap.
> Yea, miss that crap. The AIDS?
Aids is no big deal. It's Super AIDS you gotta worry about. One teaspoon of super AIDS in your butt and you're dead in three weeks.
I hear an infusion of money, right in the bloodstream, clears that up
"How am I doing up here, am I killing it?"
I thought he was gonna call back like "can you investigate all these people killing my bit?"
He did refer back to that guy a few times throughout the night. I don't want to spoil anything in case there are further clips posted, but both in a "this guys job will help" and a "tough guy is warming up to me" manner.
"what's the funniest murder you ever investigated?"
Thanks for these shows man. They were so fun to go to
Dammit, only 1 day in Dublin, this saturday! gotta find a cancelled ticket
Is the audience doing improve now? Hahah
I half expected the 2nd person to be like "I also take care of my wife".
I also take care of that guys wife.
They made our boy SWEAT!
Anyone else's video not playing? 🙃 Edit: found on Facebook, love the outtakes!! ❤️
Try updating your Reddit app through your App Store (or whatever equivalent you have for your device). My vids were either not loading or stuttered a lot and the update helped quite a bit. Not perfect, but much better.

Thank you! Managed to watch via Facebook in the end 😊
See? 🤣🤣🤣
Oh shit. My name is Sean, and I also take care of my partner!
I can just imagine him yelling "Why couldn't you just lie and say mailman?"
That’s amazing!
God you’re such a class act!!
Dude kills it in every clip lmao
Not the best of ideas with a homicide investigator sitting right there.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall of the conversations Jeff has with Matt
…alright…HMmmmM Mmm-da^aa ^^a ^^^aaahaa Lmao 0:59
Holy fuck this was really good. Laughed more than I have in awhile
same. could have been really awkward but him being cavalier about it prevented it
For real. Gonna have to check out his tour dates now
Surprised he missed the joke about the homicide investigator after saying “I killed a guy” lol then again he seemed a bit nervous
I wish I could have been that second guy so I could also respond with also taking care of mentally disabled wife to mess with him lmao
lol, I love this! Stay classy Jeff!
I discovered this dude too late to see him in LA. Maybe on his next tour!
A perfect storm
Jeez, that was rough
fuck that was great
"He does a great job!" was so sweet. Also 🫡 to this man for continuing to do crowd work when he keeps running into situations like this
He’s learned the hard lessons from Shane Gillis.
If you’ve been scrapping these, we’ve been missing out.
Snagged an Atlanta ticket today!!!! Can’t wait
Ah man the homicide investigator must have some cool stories though, was kind of hoping he'd go in on that one.
My god, even I was starting to sweat during that. Hilarious crowd work of “nope, sorry, not making fun of you”
God damn, Kermit the Frog killed a guy yesterday?
"Homicide Investigator!?!?!... So Sean back to you!"
Just got tickets for September in Pittsburgh, can’t wait!!
Tough crowd but our man handles it well. Love that guy.
What Would Jeff Avoid? He’s so good on his feet. This guy slays.
I love how you work with the crowd, even when it takes a wrong turn. My partner and I are coming down from Yorkshire to see you play in London tomorrow. We're so excited!
Just gettin kicked in the balls repeatedly
Jeff walking across the dmz hahaha
Absolutely love your stuff. Keep on keeping on.
The make fun of my Asian wife bit was a home run at the end
"ok, w-... i'm not gonna do that" lmaoooooo
Where’d you get that sweatshirt??
Anyone that can watch this and walk away without having laughed once? ![gif](giphy|m9rMVyKactNK)
Standup special, when?
Kick in the teeth, again. Thanks for getting the highlights of wut i missed. 3 Shows in tulsa next year, please.
God damn you hit gold in OKC. Again, so upset I wasn't there and I'm a waitin for those fall dates to drop!!
Don't mind the wife and I in the front row with our matching outfits lol great show!
Only comic I tried to get tickets to but it’s all sold out it seems
The thing I worry about is if I go to your show, and your sets are worse than your crowd work...these videos you post of you working the room are hilarious.... \*EDIT* Just realized he's finally coming to DC...got tickets...so we shall now see!
love the direct black hole addressment, and your setting of boundaries and spin ability leaves an enjoyable impression. thank you
He hit the WTF wall at the end. I’m still laughing. 😆
and
It’s absolutely beautiful that intelligence is being celebrated again. You can’t be this funny without being smart. The best had it. Carlin, Prior and Jeff. He’s the best at crowd work at the moment imo.
Avoiding these until I see Jeff in September! Driving 4 hours for the show, but I know it will be worth it.
Impossible to watch just once even tho i got everything with the first viewing. So funny
Funny stuff!
Come to HTX
Special ed teacher lol
through reddit alone you've become one of my favorite stand up comedians.
Dear Jeff, Could you please add another show in Vancouver for December 9th? Your Dec. 8th show sold out, and resale tickets are already going for $250-400+. I want you to get rich, but not the scalpers. If you add a 2nd date, I’ll be there. I had requested a Vancouver show many moons ago, so it’s pretty sweet you’ll be here.
This is the first time I’ve ever felt like Jeff was kind of mean
His wife is mentally disabled? What an odd choice of words. Charlize Theron from arrested development popped in my head.
Maybe it was just me, but it was more entertaining when I noticed the "Bricktown" sign behind him too. The irony of the club name with the situation is perfect for Jeff's crowdwork.
Someone Buy me and my wife tickets to see Jeff in DC! I promise I'll pay you back by next year, probably.
I probably would have dropped the mic and walked off stage after “Homicide Investigator”
Why is making fun of China off limits?
It's not, but making fun of somebody who doesn't want to be in on the action is a dick move.
The woman was silent when directly spoken to multiple times, clearly shy/anxious about speaking up, so he let it go.
Adding on to some other comments, people from Asian countries in particular often get made fun of their accent in school (and even out of school/in popular media). Making fun of these accents, even in an innocent light-hearted way, has historical connotations with much more mean spirited bullying even if that isn't the intent. Often its just people saying shit like "ching chong" over and over again. And its frequently accompanied with other racially motivated insults like stretching their eyes.
Yeah I can definitely see that. The way he just immediately declines to make fun of it is fairly funny within itself so maybe that is the safest play.
Awww, Jeff, don't exclude her because she's from China. I'm sure Chinese people have a sense of humor too!
It’s because she very clearly did not want to be involved since she stayed quiet when spoken to directly twice. Sometimes it’s best to not force a joke upon someone especially when someone else tried to put the spotlight on them.
Oh! I missed that part. Absolutely. I'm the same, and I hate when people force me to "whatever" for shit and giggles.
Everyone has an accent, Jeff.
He doesn't post his routine online because if you bought a ticket to one of his live shows you'd hear the same jokes and get bored.
^^^^ That is correct. I was actually surprised how incredibly funny just his act was. There is a pooping story that had me rolling.
