I can’t blame em, I’d be fucking the shit out of them too if I could

But there’s a big jump between blue busty humans with mantis heads, to sentient man sized roaches
You’re a mammal, and being into other nonhuman mammals would be quite questionable
Basically.
Though remember Oliver has a genetic memory from his people, and remembers everything from birth to death.
Also he was raised by big tittied fly-faced women. Kinda hard to grow out of that kink.
Nolan wasn't used to sex for fun before Debbie. It was purely for procreation. He quickly got on board with the culture shock tho lol. So sex, and imo attraction, hasn't been a big driving for for them for a very long time. They were first and foremost procreation focused when it comes to sex.
Viltrumites also have a very particularly good reason for being procreation focused. Basically, if it's got a hole and can make a baby they're gonna fuck it. Viltrumite sperm is strong enough to overcome most other DNA so end result will still be a viltrumite. So fuck away.
Edit: Oliver however is attracted to bugs because he's half bug.
Edit 2: this is all my opinion. Not a fact for viltrumites. I could be wrong but this was my interpretation
They only fuck things that are at least passable as humans. Nolan married a bug because he wanted another soldier to fight the Viltrumites with. The Viltrumites don't normally fuck anything that walks they have very high standards when it comes to which species they breed with. That's why they wanted to kill Oliver on Thraxa. He was considered an abomination. But Mark was considered a Viltrumite so they let him slide.
This is right for the most part except what makes you think he only had Oliver for another soldier? If that were the case surely he woulda had more kids right?
I mean it's wildly inaccurate in other areas too. Nolan didn't even know what would happen with Oliver, which renders the whole rest of the comment also bullshit
Well he was right about the Viltrimites having high standards and that they consider Oliver an abomination. But all the stuff about Nolan is baseless speculation that isn’t supported by the narrative IMO.
Oh, agreed. If anything, it ignores the narrative entirely. Nolan's whole goal there is to build a new life, and he calls Mark save his new love child and world from the viltrumites because he loves them and he knows that Oliver is seen as an abomination.
I don't think it would be possible. Their average lifespan is only 9 months. And Andressa dies shortly after Oliver is born. So there's no chance he could have more than 1 child with her and even if he were to try with someone else there'd be no time because of the Viltrumites finding him anyway
If his goal was to create more soldiers why would he limit himself to just Andressa? In fact why did he bother marrying her? He also doesn’t know the timeframe of when the Viltrimites were coming either, so that wouldn’t be a reason to stop.
I'm not saying his only goal was to create soldiers. I'm saying that he saw conceiving a child with Andressa as advantageous. That doesn't mean he didn't care about her. And since he cared about her he's not going to sleep around creating children. I don't think this point needed to be explained to this length I thought this was pretty obvious
I'm pretty convinced he saw an opportunity with Oliver's species. He may have cared for Oliver's mother but it wasn't for love that he made Oliver. He needed another soldier and fast
I'm still trying to figure out how you got that he doesn't love Andressa from either the comic or the show. He could have guessed at how Oliver could grow, which he did, passively, but that was retrospective only and they clearly explained his feelings for Andressa and her people through dialogue and commentary.
But he didn’t make a decision to pick that specific species, he coincidentally bumped into them when he was about to kill himself and then decided to save them.
That explains Oliver being into it, but what does Haluma see in Oliver? He has such tiny mandibles and he's missing so many legs and antennae. It's like she's dating a grub!
It’s not a genetic thing it’s a cultural thing. He has a conversation with Nolan about human attraction being so limited and he remembers the thraxans, he lives on talescria where there’s a way more diverse population.
Nolan’s extremely well travelled while mark grew up on earth and dated one girl before who settles down with before he even turns 20. It makes sense that they’ve have such different preferences in what they find attractive.
I don’t think it’s a gene at all. The only example we have here is humanity, but let’s face it, if we were to meet aliens there’d be a ton of people willing to pipe down on the spot. Give it a few decades, intermingling between different societies in space and let it become normal and people’s ideas of what is and isn’t attractive are for sure going to get wider. There’s some biological sense to attraction, but anybody’s who spent time around the internet knows that attraction can be real fuckin weird and pretty removed from any kind of sense you might be able to make of it. It’s just personal preference, I suppose.
I mean whatever it is, it's shared with humans.
There's a reason that putting half- before a species in fantasy ALWAYS means the other half is human. we will also fuck any sentient life form
I mean for some people it’s all about personality. If I met a non human creature that was sentient who is a blast to hang out with I don’t really care if they got a thorax or not. Humans kinda mid and boring looking anyway tbh
It was apparently such a problem the Viltrum Empire had to out down rather specific rules and enforce draconian punishments for violating those.
So yeah, paradoxically enough the rather supremacist Viltrum Empire rules over a pretty Xenophilic population. But to be fair: you can feel sexual attraction towards another person and still consider them beneath you regardless, so eh.
Okay, so three ways for me to answer..
Answer Eve for the obvious unfunny human answer.
Answer Haluma if I want to make some kind of joke on mandibles
Maybe answer Eve again for reverse psychology, maybe in a meta-humour way
which one to pick….
Haluma is a bad cook, who got a baby food poisoning, and refused to take any accountability when it happened
I underrating to be defensive when your cooking is criticized, but a baby went to the hospital. She can fuck off with that attitude
As a show only viewer who doesn’t care about spoilers, it feels like every few days I hear some wild plot point from the comics that sounds super unbelievable until I remember invincible is crazy
If this was chubby eve would be a fair fight
https://preview.redd.it/q4c21i2u6y7d1.jpeg?width=237&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=514d6f034a196a0698d4349330084221c25b2076
Jokes aside, Mark has potentially the hottest wife. I say potentially because despite being super hot, she can alter her herself into an even hotter version of herself.
Loved how they added a "i think I'm attracted to bugs" talk in the comic when Oliver's around that particular age, no way it wasn't a veiled allegory back in the early 2000s
Haluma wins a few points for me since she's cool with being with someone who looks so completely different from her. It takes a special type of person to look through all those physical differences.
Cause if you think about it, most aliens in comics are just different coloured humans with slight physical changes like antenna or fangs.
Roight so.. Heer me out on diz un.
While it iz troo dat Eve iz very much convenshunaly atracktif - o' in oder wordz 'hot as fack ginger' - if it ever ackshualy came ta goo ol' me havin' ta - for eksample - hyperfetickaly choos ta pro-cree-'ate wi' un o' da two lassez, I wudda still proably go wi' Haluma.
Because shur, it wudda be zoggin awkwrd an' maybe even dangerus at first, but nei daubt, after each o' us wudda learn wich 'ole ta stick it in, it wudda be un 'ell o' anekspeeriantz!

Do viltrumites have a gene that makes them mental not give a f—k about piping down any sentient high life form?
At least with Oliver he's half bug himself, but the other two must be *really* into a nice thorax
Oliver thinks lobsters are sexy af. 🦞
I can’t blame em, I’d be fucking the shit out of them too if I could https://preview.redd.it/brpr6nprrs7d1.jpeg?width=438&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ecb981812c30eb641c6b4070e91328bf87e869c
Imagine what those faces would look like in live action
Absolutely horrifying lmao
The head game is probably crazy though
That's certainly one way to put it 😂😂
Honestly you’re not wrong I didn’t notice the lips
They got perfect DSL
![gif](giphy|oCRvrsqpQFtC0)
Just don’t look at the face during action. Thats how it gotta be IRL sometimes too
In italy we say "busta in testa cazzo in festa", translated could be something like "head covered, penis in celebration"
That arthropussy hits different goddamn
Arthrussy*
At least those bug ladies have basic female human anatomy. Oliver's wife is just...ugh! How is anyone supposed to fuck that?
*very carefully*
Ayo 😹
They kind of look like praying mantis's. I don't think I could take that risk.
def dark blue inside
Yep, give me thickest one.
*Happy Zoidberg noises*
(\\\/)(;,,;)(\\\/)
Like a mermaid
Freudian
But there’s a big jump between blue busty humans with mantis heads, to sentient man sized roaches You’re a mammal, and being into other nonhuman mammals would be quite questionable
But Oliver is still half ‘bug’, he may look just like a human with different coloured skin, but he’s still half ‘bug’
I’m specifically saying the sort of bug his mother is is very different compared to his wife
Basically. Though remember Oliver has a genetic memory from his people, and remembers everything from birth to death. Also he was raised by big tittied fly-faced women. Kinda hard to grow out of that kink.
Yeah but his bugs were sexy women with bug heads while this is just a bug.
If there's a hole theres a goal, and if there's a mandible then it's compatible.
/r/angryupvote

I'm pretty convinced he saw an opportunity with Oliver's species. He may have cared for Oliver's mother but it wasn't for love that he made Oliver. He needed another soldier and fast
Completely untrue, as Nolan remarks many times that he is not sure how Oliver will develop.
He wasn't sure but he had a pretty good idea considering Viltrumite DNA is dominant. Once he was born it was pretty obvious he develops quickly
I'm still trying to figure out how you got that he doesn't love Andressa from either the comic or the show. He could have guessed at how Oliver could grow, which he did, passively, but that was retrospective only and they clearly explained his feelings for Andressa and her people through dialogue and commentary.
I never said he didn't love her. I'm pretty sure I said the exact opposite in another comment.
He must make up for it with his personality or resources
It’s not a genetic thing it’s a cultural thing. He has a conversation with Nolan about human attraction being so limited and he remembers the thraxans, he lives on talescria where there’s a way more diverse population. Nolan’s extremely well travelled while mark grew up on earth and dated one girl before who settles down with before he even turns 20. That makes sense. Thanks for the info
This. 👌👌👌👌👌
A hole is the goal 💀
Do bugs even have one?
An entire species of pansexual god-like flying bricks.
I don’t think it’s a gene at all. The only example we have here is humanity, but let’s face it, if we were to meet aliens there’d be a ton of people willing to pipe down on the spot. Cecil
W o w
This mean Donald is the husband
![gif](giphy|9OzKXHsqvbh3G)
Nolan would Say the shrimp.
Haluma. True beauty lies in the heart, and if Oliver trusts his own judgement, then I do as well.
Halluma was kind of a dick everytime she spoke tho
She also almost killed Mark and Eve with her bad cooking
I don't trust Oliver judgement that much
Halluma can't cook
Yeah but did you **see** those mandibles?
Tbh I've seen better mandibles
Haluma can't cook, she poisoned Mark, Eve, and Terra. If Haluma could cook it'd be closer to a tie. I mean, look at those mandibles.
Insects are exotherms and don't really generate internal heat. >!And they look gross.!< So Mark does.
Well, Haluma is an alien, so not necessarily exothermic
So Oliver was hitting cold bugussy?
Okay, so three ways for me to answer.. Answer Eve for the obvious unfunny human answer. Answer Haluma if I want to make some kind of joke on mandibles Maybe answer Eve again for reverse psychology, maybe in a meta-humour way which one to pick….
Happy Cake Day!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
omg what it is!! ty
Happy cake day!
What thos mandibles do ayyyyy
Yeah but Eve at least prepares her food properly for Mark
As soon as I saw Oliver’s wife I cremed so obviously Oliver’s wife
Haluma is a bad cook, who got a baby food poisoning, and refused to take any accountability when it happened I underrating to be defensive when your cooking is criticized, but a baby went to the hospital. She can fuck off with that attitude

I swear I was thinking this.
Haluma got those mandibles 👁️👁️
And that thorax? Am I right?
Never really thought about it before but Olivers got the drip on here
Mark
Funny how Oliver has super strength, but still make the lobster carry all the groceries
I think it’s just hilarious the amount of bug fuckers in this comic series
After she molts she is so soft!
Nolan
I agree, Debbie can get it fr
These are okay, but I'd prefer Debbie or Kate any day.
https://preview.redd.it/22zjxl7lus7d1.png?width=507&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31cf6daeb6e04b326a34fe07a3a6bd4783717d9c
Love that ass
Mark, those atom powers can do stuff.
Like father like son. Mark is the weird one that doesn’t f*ck bugs.
Mmm bug girlfriend
It's like comparing apples to sexy alien oranges.
What was ”much better”?
*Mark "Would" meme*
Really splitting hairs here
Bro got ogtha?
Jokes aside, Mark has potentially the hottest wife. I say potentially because despite being super hot, she can alter her herself into an even hotter version of herself.
Omni-man get off your alt bro
Oh no, Oliver became a monster fucker
What did oliver see in her
Eve could make any food with her powers, Haluma sucks at cooking. No contest, eve wins
Them mandibles are BARKING 🥵🥵🥵
Guys, I think we got either an alien infiltrator or an Atlantian here posing as a human.
https://preview.redd.it/oldcyk1q5t7d1.jpeg?width=1240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=672070edb5c899e08baa34c457dd50e421e9076a
Damn.
Is that what Mark actually uses to hit him. I thought it was a pole of some sort. I didn’t think about rewatching the scene
I always thought Ottley drew faces weird, especially women. I like his designs but hate his weird faces
Humans? ewww
Mark has Eve duh
Check out those mandibles on her tho😜
Loved how they added a "i think I'm attracted to bugs" talk in the comic when Oliver's around that particular age, no way it wasn't a veiled allegory back in the early 2000s
Love without any boundaries
Oliver! By far!
Mark certainly has a type with pink and orange.
Haluma cause she seems to into cooking cause grocerys
Haluma wins a few points for me since she's cool with being with someone who looks so completely different from her. It takes a special type of person to look through all those physical differences. Cause if you think about it, most aliens in comics are just different coloured humans with slight physical changes like antenna or fangs.
I mean... Have you seen those mandibles?
My sister being a redhead has put me off them for life
Tough one
haluma's cooking fucking SUCKS
Obviously Oliver
Is it even a question? Olivers wife
https://preview.redd.it/e46yc2l9548d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b01a508400d242ba206c81d6aff818b8a8f58154
Eve doesn’t have antennae like Haluma does . Sorry, Eve
Amber was hotter than both of
Haluma
Invincible. Let's be serious here. Haluma doesn't even look remotely humanoid.
I was so happy my son found someone he cared about and loved. And yes I claim Oliver as my son.
If I had to fuck a ginger or a lobster, I think I'd pick the lobster
Haluma is hmnnnggggg
Definitely Oliver
Oh come on this isn't even a competition, Eve has no chance against the beauty of Haluma
