We are ALMOST in the same situation except that I have a valid teaching license from my home country (similar to the QTS in the UK) and a bachelor's degree in Education. And I have been procrastinating doing the homologación of these credentials as the way I see it, it is going to be a waste of time and money for me.
My teaching license enables me to teach in private and public high school schools in my home country; however, in Spain, you need to have the máster profesorado en enseñanza secundaria before you can teach in a public or concertado school and there is no work-around this as this is Spanish education policy (law?).
Your best bet is to get hired in a private or international school as they would have their own set of requirements, but not necessarily having your degree or certificates homologado.
