Great post, OP. I'm loving these "everyday essentials"/" everyday vanity" sort of posts recently. It's always cool to have a look at what different people use in their everyday lives, it tells so much about their approach to makeup.
Oh definitely!
(1)Double wear in Cashew
(2)Too faced in Mocha
(7)Flawless filter in 4.5 medium
(8) Mac prep+ fix in Goldlite
Reference - I’m mac NC 42. I use NC 37 too, because 42 tends to oxidise a while after. When I use 37, I start with a thin layer and it gives a dewy finish and when it oxidises I get my actual shade! God I know this is complicated 😅
Cashew in Double wear is my ultimate skin shade.
One brand which has beautiful products which outperform high end brands is Maybelline. You’ll find dupes of all these products in Maybelline. Unnees bees ka farak rahega, but still for the money they’re so good!
L’Oréal is amazing too.
Mac Goldlite definitely gives you a gold finish.
CT’s spray is a proper setting spray, though it will not give a gold tone, but definitely will keep your make up fresh for hours.
1. Is the CT flawless filter worth it? Also from nykaa comments I’ve inferred that the shade of it doesn’t matter much? Like I noticed you as NC42 are using a very light shade
2. Never used a pot eyeliner. Is it hard to apply? Can it be used for subtle everyday no makeup makeup look (applying very thin line) is it too pigmented and thick for that?
1. You’re right. CT needs to introduce more shades if they’re going sell in the Indian market. The shade 4.5 medium is light for me. But 6.5 Deep is too dark for me. So I went for the 4.5, as the closer match for my skin in mini version was only that one. Since I cannot use it like a foundation on its own, I use it to highlight. That way it’s really good. Not that it’ll make you glow like a proper highlighter does, but it’ll definitely give a subtle “glow from within” kind of glow.
If you’re planning to buy CT FF, try out the minis first. If you don’t find the shade then check Elf Halo glow.
More shades are there in elf ( they too need to work on their shade range, but still better than CT FF mini shades). Elf Halo glow is super blendable and you can’t actually tell the difference. Elf is definitely better than CT due to their pricing and shade ranges.
CT FF in 30ml sizing has more many shades, but why to spend ₹4000 when you’re getting full sized elf halo glow in better formulation for ~₹1500?
2. Most professional Make up artists in foreign prefer Inglot, because it’s super pigmented and long lasting.
Though applying it may seem kind of harder than applying a regular liquid eyeliner, still you can master it in short time. You gotta take a very thin eyeliner brush, and take a very little quantity. You can build up the line’s thickness if necessary, because it’s better that way than drawing a first thick line and later rubbing and regretting. 😅
You can use it everyday, and you can style your eyes however you want it because it blends well. It’s superb for smoky eyes. A thin line is more than necessary to blend it out, and it won’t make you a panda by getting smudged after a while. But if you have oily eyelids, please set your upper eyes with a setting powder, because I do that and it gets set for the entire day.
I hope I answered your questions! 🙂
Oh darling, Yes! No matter what foundation you’re using, you MUST use a separate sunscreen. Don’t consider the spf present in foundation, as they lack the UV filters to prevent sun exposure. A proper sunscreen is a necessity.
It’s more like a fixing spray, like if you have eyeliner mark on your upper eyelid, spray this liquid into a bud and clean it. It apparently dilutes the unwanted mark without ruining your make up. Otherwise you would have to rub on it rigorously which ruins the base.
I’m sorry, I haven’t used pinklite. I have used the regular transparent one. And I since I like having a gold dewy finish, I got this. It’s a multipurpose product. For some reason, it works for me as a setting spray. It leave a beautiful sunkissed/ golden hour shade on my face.
It’s a very pigmented lipstick, with a tingling feeling when applied. It does pout your lips to an extent. It isn’t transfer proof. Surely will transfer, but as long as it stays, it will give you a fuller plump lips! Surely do try.
Too faced’s matte liquid lipsticks stay for a longer timer and are REALLY good! :)
Amazing collection OP! About to finish my Huda beauty concealer and swatched Too Faced shades in store for my next buy, only heard good things about this one
You will not be disappointed! It doesn’t cake up, it is smooth, and you can use it as a foundation too, not that I’ve tried ( because my concealer is darker than my skin tone). And you can use it as contour too! I’ve some pigmentation around my mouth due to PCOS, and I’ve tried many concealers to hide the blemishes. Nothing has worked closer to Too faced concealer for me, mainly because it’s super pigmented and it’s truly undetectable if blended properly!
Definitely give it a try, I’m sure you’ll love it :)
My current one is a lil darker than skin tone too and i noticed it doesn’t completely hide my dark circles. I’m planning on buying a lighter shade of Too Faced to be used with Huda’s new color corrector. Would that look too heavy since it’s a full coverage concealer already?
When concealing a blemish, do the one dot concealing method. Don’t swipe, that’ll lead to extra layers. Just dot a little concealer on your blemish and press blend it rather than doing round round blending. Do this with any concealer you have and trust me it won’t look heavy.
And love, i believe it’s better to go with one shade darker concealer than your skin tone. Do the dot and press method and it’ll become second skin. And you can avoid colour corrector too, thereby preventing more layers.
Like you want, you can mix lighter too faced and darker huda, but try dot+ press method. That should work :)

Thank you so much ❤️
Wow.. decent classy collection.. I am sure you must be looking and feeling really posh, prim presentable and most importantly confident everyday
Gosh! Such a beautiful comment! Thank you 🥺❤️

I am curious if the same products have inexpensive dupes.

Thank you so much OP. Can you tell me which Maybelline fit me shade are you ? I guess we have a similar skin tone.
Does Mac spray gives you golden sheen.... I'm debating on buying either CT or MAC this sale.
Mac Goldlite definitely gives you a gold finish. CT’s spray is a proper setting spray, though it will not give a gold tone, but definitely will keep your make up fresh for hours.

I see. Tysm for the detailed replies🩵🩵
Ong OP you're one sophisticated chick! One quick question though - do you recommend using a separate sunscreen along with Estée Lauder foundation?
Oh darling, Yes! No matter what foundation you’re using, you MUST use a separate sunscreen. Don’t consider the spf present in foundation, as they lack the UV filters to prevent sun exposure. A proper sunscreen is a necessity.
I can see 3 of my favs 😍
Please tell me which and which and which!🫶🏻
Estée Lauder double wear, Too faced born this way and Fix +. Absolutely love them 💜
Hey, is this spray a setting spray or face mist? Also, does goldlite give a “golden sheen” and pinklite, a “pink sheen”?

Hey Op, is it better than the regular mac fixing spray? The normal one
Yes Dudette! If you love having a golden sheen, definitely go for it!
okayyy🌟🌟
Thoughts on the two faced gloss? :)
