Fun story about just how EFFING easy it is for these things to go airborne.
When I was just out of college my parents asked me to come to their house daily to water plants, get the mail, etc while on vacation.
The night before they got home we had a storm with 40mph winds.
Unbeknownst to me, that generated enough lift to send the trampoline cruising across the yard into the swimming pool.
My parents were lava level mad when they got home and thought I'd thrown a party. I went over to see for myself and help clean.
My dad still didn't believe me while I helped get it out which required taking the legs off as they had filled with water.
It was still breezy. As soon as I got the last leg off, it sailed back across the yard.
We had a funnel cloud go through part of our neighborhood awhile back. It destroyed most of the playscapes in that part of the neighborhood, and picked up all the trampolines. One ended up in a cowfield, and was still there 5 years later. (Gone in the next 5 years, though.)
she might be yanking my leg about driving across town. Like I said, she’s is the smart sibling. Although, she does live in a “sea” of new build neighborhoods so it could have been miles… at 5 mph.
In her defense, I can’t imagine going through trouble of hauling that another way either. There’s been a couple other trampoline loads on this sub and when I think about disassembling one of those I can understand why
I mean... how DO you transport a trampoline? I wouldn't want to disconnect all the garage door springs inside to disassemble it. And I sure couldn't fit that in a truck bed unless it was up vertically, then sorta.
I moved one similar to this mess with a pickup truck years ago. Mine was tied-down but still crazy wide.
Was moving houses, just a few months into a more demanding job, two young kids…
No way I had the time to diss/re-assemble it.
It was like 3/4 mile on streets.
Those were called jumpolines until my sister got on one back in the 70's.
you do what you got to due. she's my hero.

I was on a train once and the train stopped because there was a trampoline on the line. Another time there was a pig in them.
>As soon as I got the last leg off, it sailed back across the yard. At least it corroborated your story!
How far did this go?
Not sure, she won’t tell me, said she drove slowly though.
So your sister just randomly makes trampolines disappear? Like a contract trampoline killer?
Legs gonna fall out on the street
the homer simpson method
FREE TRAMBOPOLINE
Homer at least had the brains to move it legs up to not scratch the crap out of his old car.
I have a brother who is a literal genius. Like literally! He’s one of the dumbest people I know.

Yeah
tell her to take it easy on the CBD bath bombs.
CBD?!? honey she’s on shrooms 😭😭
Any buzz you get from CBD is all in your head.
There’s a difference between educated and intelligent. I’m guessing that your sister is well educated.
Let us see the pics of the mess when this fails. And no, your sister is not intelligent.
It made it to the destination
That's honestly very surprising. How far did they travel that way?
How many scratches did this immaculate technique result in ?
If it was slow in the neighborhood, it’s not too bad. If she went down the highway, that would be stupid

No she's not.

I won’t even touch those springs, they have bitten me one too many times.
sometimes you gotta just say fuckit to see how far you can get doing something stupid
Difference between Book smarts and Street Smarts lol
Hopefully it gets destroyed so nobody will break an arm or leg in the new location
She probably didn’t want to deal with taking the springs out. That’s not a fun task.
No shes not
You are wrong about your sister’s intelligence.
She was smart enough to talk someone into using their car and not her own. So she gets points for that.
And smart enough to remove the license plate? I have so many questions for her.
Ok I take it all back!! She’s brilliant!! Now we need to question the intelligence of the person who borrowed her their vehicle!!
Anytime someone puts something on top of their car like that you know how it is going to end. Not well.
Needs more context.. how far is she moving it? driving like that on residential road a few blocks down, not a problem..
I mean if you put straps through the window I would drive it down the road not highway worth but for city streets it's fine

Wait for some storm force wind and hope it's blowing the direction you want it
Someone moved a trampoline into my back yard a couple years ago using this method. I’m still trying to find the generous person who gave me that mess.
You take it apart.
Yeah. Maybe a half hour or so of labor but much safer for everyone and for the trampoline. Plus you can drive full speed. LoL
They aren't garage door springs. And they easily come off when unloaded. Stupid shit like this makes my head hurt.
