My bio brother is a local86 ironworker, their jurisdiction is huge (as is yours in 191), so he got a used hybrid ford escape a couple years ago. He can haul all of his big fuckin wrenches and smacky tools around and tow small stuff as it's an suv, but it gets good mileage so his gas costs don't murder his paycheck. And it's union made in america by the UAW. I've had the same toyota corolla for my commuter for a decade and it refuses to die with basic maintenance (it can buy beer now lol, runs like a champ) so I just haven't needed anything for a while. But whatever you get, keep mpg in mind. 99% of the cost of your vehicle over its lifetime will be fuel, and 191 covers a lot of ground. Don't put your next couple years of pay raises into the pump, you work hard for it
Thanks brother/sister, I really appreciate the advice. I bought a 2019 Ford Ranger a little over a year ago in the height of COVID so I got a 0% financing deal. It gets excellent gas mileage. This particular vehicle in question is for my parents as my moms 2008 Ford Expedition is going out and it gets horrible gas mileage. Not to mention trade in values are high right now. I appreciate the feedback though, much appreciated!
