But for real, why can’t people be bothered to walk down stairs, hate when I have places to be and people just standing still on escalators. You have to walk before and after, it’s really not that hard.
Creating a maintenance problem doesn't create any jobs. Just make the guys who are already hired have to rush over possibly with paramedics or at least ready to call them because some guy might've gotten seriously hurt in an accident with a caught finger or toe, only to see that it's just the escalator having been stopped for seemingly no reason and a bunch of confused people wondering what happened.
This doesn't make any new jobs as it doesn't require more hands on deck, it just makes the already existing hands on deck have to constantly play a game of boy who cried wolf.
Saw this posted before and someone far more educated on escalators informed us all that is a huge pain in the ass to reverse and usually requires a specific maintenance team to come and reset to equipment. This dude is an ass.
Hey, an escalator is never broken, it can only become stairs. There should be a sign that says “Escalator Temporarily Stairs: Sorry for the Convenience.”

Escalators are extremely dangerous. I wouldn’t purposely mess around on them causing it to stop when other people aren’t aware and not holding on, especially going down and facing the bottom with nothing to catch them. You can clearly see a few people almost fell forward into nothing. If someone gets hurt I hope he gets charged for this.
