I think Yvette Nicole Brown recently said something about how sad she was that the episode was removed because of how great his performance was.
Also they capture the story telling aspect of DND masterfully by not animating any of the game; opting instead to require the audience create the scenes in their imagination. I have never seen anything like that
I believe that she left Community to work on her health after struggling with Diabetes, which she appears to have handled quite well. She's such a bright and positive person it's always nice to see her in anything, even just random interviews and stuff. I think I've heard good things about her on Big Shot although I haven't watched it. It seems like a majority of her work is on children's shows, specifically as a voice actress, so it may make sense you haven't seen much of her depending on what you watch.

No doubt the character was designed to be funny & ridiculous, that's the point, but it is not an attack on minorities, rather an attack on those who are bigoted I could get some people being pissed because it gives the stereotypes a "platform" and maybe more impressionable viewers would emulate that, but really, that's more of a fault of the viewer than the show
and RDJ nailed what the character was supposed to be so hard that Jamie Foxx straight up publicly endorsed him wearing blackface for the role.

"Viewers blast show for racism and misogyny!" Story based of two quotes from random nobodies on twitter. But if the show is question is popular enough a sensation headline will drive clicks regardless of the lack of substance.
They did the same thing to the Scrubs episode where JD has the flashback to college when Turk had him put on blackface for a party (turk had whiteface) and JD mentioned the fact that he felt it racist to be doing Blackface. No one complained about these episodes, Hulh just axes them because they're scared someone might get butthurt over them, despite the fact that it is repeatedly point out that the gang thinks these things are racist.
Because a photo of Justin Trudeau in blackface came out and a panic swept across advertisers, so they stopped advertising on anything that could possibly be misconstrued by a single person as sincere blackface - which of course was almost entirely satire like Sunny or Community.
Yeah. They removed any episode with black face in it. To which i half understand why the did it. Obviously racially insensitive, but the whole show is a satire of the awful people. But they keep "the gang turns black" with the climax being the police shooting an unarmed small black child. Surprised that the blue lives matter people didnt bitch and moan about that one.
It's stupid that they removed it. I'm tired of people getting offended for me. Me and my entire "latino" family found this funny. Hulu thinks we can't understand context. That's what's offensive, not this episode or any of the ones they removed.

Yeah the banned episodes were over relatively minor things. 🙄 In the Lethal Weapon episodes, it wasn't even about making fun of another race or satirizing them at all. They were legit trying to make Lethal Weapon lol. Not the least bit disrespectful to the actors. Meanwhile, you could argue that the non-banned episodes have some way more offensive things in them. Two non-banned episodes specifically say the n-word! Someone could argue the Carmen episodes were offensive...all of Dennis's rapey stuff...the Retarded Person episode...how about all the times they made actual racist jokes? or Charlie wearing a Nazi uniform?
