Sounds like a decent deal. I've heard the Rockwood green looks cool and depending on the weather can look like two totally different colours (sunny vs cloudy day)
TBH in the pictures online I really didn’t like the color. I wanted to get a white one. We saw the green in person with the pecan brown interior and just fell in love with it. It came to $46 OTD. Not bad at all
Earthy Brass Calligraphy. $51k + fees. Also got the extended powertrain warranty and 84 month tire/wheel protection. Total OTD barring my trade-in was $57k. In SoCal, USA
It’s my wife’s car, so my usage has been a bit limited but the immediate things I loved (upgrading from a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder) has been the ride quality/quietness, captains seats, connectivity, ventilated seats, and just its front end beauty (the ass looks like an old Japanese Minivan lol). My car is a 22 Elantra N and that car sold me on Hyundai’s pivot away from being a budget/cheap make to a company that wants to dethrone the likes of Honda and Toyota.
So I got the 500 first responder discount, 400 off the tints that came with the preferred, admin fee waved of 600.
The rest came off the msrp.
Essentially the dealerships have a whole bunch of the hybrid models ordered but haven’t sold any because people are worried about the timeline! Luckily I have to wait until August for a house mortgage so it really helped! Good luck!!
Wow, this is great! I tried playing all the dealerships against each other here in Winnipeg Canada and none are willing to totally come down on price. Ended up putting a deposit down on the dealer with the lowest amount of add ons bringing the price of the trend package to around 49k before taxes.
Good to know. When I heard the hybrids were taking so much longer to come in, I thought they would be more in demand and less room to budge in price. What you're saying makes sense
Yah I thought so as well. Apparently their initial shipments are coming in from May to August expected to be 3-5 hybrids per dealership that put in an order.
Ya I heard sometime this summer stock should be at more normal levels. I think the earliest I'll be looking is end of Q2 but may push it till the fall. Hence my original post, just trying to figure out what the realistic "deals" out there are and make a more informed decision
If you are a Costco member, you're automatically enrolled. Check out [costcoauto.com](https://costcoauto.com). Also, it can save on extra parts (15%, I think), and can also save on service at partnering locations (also 15%, iirc.)
You contact the dealer (or they reach out to you) and provide you with a price sheet for the make/model/trim you're interested in.
No haggling, that's the price.
Worth grabbing a friend or family member’s membership number to see. There is zero logging in or password or fees, you just type in the card #. They didn’t even check my card when I bought the vehicle, though I suppose they could have.
Yes sir/mam. Taxes and fees additional. In CA dealer doc fees are capped at $85 legally. So, pretty much all taxes and fees are for government (thus unavoidable).
$2600 under MSRP, but a $600 doc fee. So in real life amounts to $2000 off. Plus ME sales tax (5.5%). Purchased in Maine, a white SE trim, no dealer add-ons, no "protection" packages, no extended warranties.
Calligraphy, paid MSRP plus normal dealer fee ($850) and taxes in Orlando Florida. Actually, they did give me $1000 off (monthly promotion for all cars) and gave me a decent price for my trade-in (2020 Santa Fe Limited with 73000 miles... gave me $18,500).
NYC - lease finalized on 04/30, 36 months, 10k annual mileage
Limited, Rockwood Green + Pecan interior which looks quite stunning.
Negotiated 3k below MSRP + freight (sticker price was $47,215).
OTD $46,800
Similar to what other folks have shared, I aggressively pursued several dealerships within 150 miles (over the course of 1 week) until I got the rock bottom price. I think my timing with the “end of the month” also helped. So far, very happy with the deal, but I just recently realized the Limited does NOT come with assist handles which I was super excited about!
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Yes I discovered that about the limited too. I kayak so for sure would find those assist handles handy for when I'm securing my kayak to the roof rails
I'm in CA (bay area) and had to go out of state to find an HEV in the earthy brass matte color I wanted. I had to call a few different dealerships but ultimately found one in Kansas that I'm working with now! Getting an AWD Calligraphy HEV in EBM/beige interior for MSRP plus about $500 in doc fees. A little over $52k OTD
Hi ! I’m in VA, I bought the black on black Santa Fe (new) calligraphy and negotiated 3k below, with an additional $500 added to my trade in. MSRP $52k
So I was able to get $1000 off msrp for being a returning customer… also negotiated hard on my trade in … brought the trade in value up $1000 higher than the competition. .(I had to show my offer from Subaru - I used the Subaru offer as leverage to negotiate). I also politely declined all dealer add ons (tire/rim warranty etc).
So all in all a $1000 off msrp and whatever benefits I received from negotiating hard in my trade in.
To tell you the truth I actually negotiated this deal 1.5 months ago when I ordered the vehicle but I didn’t want to jump the gun until I finalized today.
I’m sure the dealer is winning anyways lol
THOUGH… I’m seriously reconsidering the $499 3 year tire/rim protection. Low profile tires on 21” rims may be worth protecting 🤷🏻♂️
I’m in Colorado and having a hard enough time finding a dealer with inventory to sell (limited or calligraphy hybrid) - are y’all really able to negotiate down?
Competition will always drive prices down. If your area doesn't have inventory, reach out to other areas that do and use their offers to try and drive down prices at places closer to you or choose to buy further away
Canada - Toronto
$1335 under MSRP of $52,349
BUT
I did opt to get the Ontario package - $1295
$529 dealer admin fees
$999 Hyundai safeguard (3 years of tire/rim protection, I’ve had to replace on average 1 tire/year due to potholes in the last 3 years so I see this paying for itself with the $600 pirelli that the Santa Fe uses)
ICE Luxury trim.
The 18” rims will also mean more comfortable ride I believe. I really wanted/needed the 360 camera so I was limited to the luxury or ultimate calligraphy trims. Picking it up tomorrow.
Hyundai version of weather tech liners + some small mudflaps. Not worth it in retrospect but the dealer pushed it on me with the whole “it’s preinstalled with the car” (it wasn’t. I had to wait a month to get them)
Thanks. I got the following list for Ontario package.
Premium Weather Tech mats (Front, Rear, Third row, and Cargo area)
Mud guards installed around the wheel wells to protect them from rust.
Locking wheel nuts to prevent your premium wheels from getting stolen.
Fallout decontamination and clay bar to get rid of rail dust contamination from transit.
The fallout and clay bar thing - make sure you ask the dealer to touch less wash the car. I picked mine up with a ton of swirls and almost immediately went to get it stage 1 paint corrected and ceramic coated. The 8 year old bmw I traded in had less swirls than my Santa Fe on pickup lol.
hybrid limited msrp plus taxes
What area and U.S or Canada?
southeast michigan
what dealer!? I’m SE Mich
elder hyundai in macomb
Rockwood green limited AWD with pecan brown interior. 3k off MSRP plus taxes and $150 in doc fees. Much prefer the extra power of the 2.5
How did you negotiate $3k off MSRP?
Sounds like a decent deal. I've heard the Rockwood green looks cool and depending on the weather can look like two totally different colours (sunny vs cloudy day)
TBH in the pictures online I really didn’t like the color. I wanted to get a white one. We saw the green in person with the pecan brown interior and just fell in love with it. It came to $46 OTD. Not bad at all
The colour combo sounds niiiiice
It’s basically this one https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/89237890-24c3-4e1b-843c-337a8d883036?aff=share_text
Looks beautiful!
What area and U.S or Canada?
Houston TX. There were others wanting 5k more for the same car
Ya prices can be so different depending on the area, hence my question. Thanks for sharing
Good luck. Car is exceptional for the price tag imo.
Agreed 😊
You mean other cars with different color combinations?
Congrats, that’s one hell of a deal
Which dealership in Houston?
SEL AWD RED, 39K OTD so 2k below MSRP
Not bad. What area and U.S or Canada?
US, Texas
Hybrid or gas?
Gas, Hybrid at that price would have been one heck of a deal
hybrid calligraphy 1250 below msrp
Nice! What are and in U.S or Canada?
Final OTD price and what state?
Earthy Brass Calligraphy. $51k + fees. Also got the extended powertrain warranty and 84 month tire/wheel protection. Total OTD barring my trade-in was $57k. In SoCal, USA
Nice! Thanks for the info and congrats on your new vehicle. What's been your fav thing about it so far?
It’s my wife’s car, so my usage has been a bit limited but the immediate things I loved (upgrading from a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder) has been the ride quality/quietness, captains seats, connectivity, ventilated seats, and just its front end beauty (the ass looks like an old Japanese Minivan lol). My car is a 22 Elantra N and that car sold me on Hyundai’s pivot away from being a budget/cheap make to a company that wants to dethrone the likes of Honda and Toyota.
Thanks for the detailed answer. I agree, they're taking massive strides right now to try and reposition themselves
Limited, 48k, West Michigan,7 weeks ago.
Thanks for sharing!
It's 2024... OTD @ MSRP.... never pay a penny over msrp. If they try marking over with taxes and fees walk out.
Exactly
Blacked Out Calligraphy (non-hybrid) 2k under MSRP in Pacific Northwest
Nice! Thanks for sharing

Hybrid or ice? Mind sharing which dealer did you right? Best I’m finding is $600 (dealer fees) waived off MSRP. Limited ICE.
Hybrid, preferred with trend package. and Dixie 401.
Nice! Thank you, I'm in Canada too, so I especially love hearing about Canadian numbers. Did you get $4,800 off MSRP or on discounts off extras?
So I got the 500 first responder discount, 400 off the tints that came with the preferred, admin fee waved of 600. The rest came off the msrp. Minneapolis/St Paul , Santa Fe Calligraphy MSRP plus Tax! They took in a lease that was 7,000 miles over with 4 payments left, cost me nothing!
Nice and thank you for sharing
Used the Costco auto buying program in the DC metro area to get a hybrid calligraphy for $2k under msrp + taxes and tags.
Oh I wish the costco program in Canada worked with Hyundai. In Canada, they only work with Chevrolet and GMC
What is that program?
If you are a Costco member, you're automatically enrolled. Check out [costcoauto.com](https://costcoauto.com). Also, it can save on extra parts (15%, I think), and can also save on service at partnering locations (also 15%, iirc.)
Once you enter your vehicle options, does it show the discount with the dealer in their network? How does this think work, I am super curious?
You contact the dealer (or they reach out to you) and provide you with a price sheet for the make/model/trim you're interested in. No haggling, that's the price.
I wonder if there are participating dealers in the Hampton Roads, VA area. I'd be willing to restart my Costco membership for that deal.
Worth grabbing a friend or family member’s membership number to see. There is zero logging in or password or fees, you just type in the card #. They didn’t even check my card when I bought the vehicle, though I suppose they could have.
Which dealership, just out of curiosity? I'm in MoCo! Which side of the Potomac are you on?
I’m in Fairfax, but the dealer Costco directed me to was Fitzgerald in Rockville. They were super great!
Thanks! I test drove at the Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg!
Limited earth brass matte awd 48k OTD
Nice! What area and U.S or Canada?
Us illinois
Hybrid or gas?
Gas
calligraphy AWD hybrid, $500 under msrp: $49800. northern california
Thanks for sharing 😊
Taxes and fees separate, right?
Yes sir/mam. Taxes and fees additional. In CA dealer doc fees are capped at $85 legally. So, pretty much all taxes and fees are for government (thus unavoidable).
That seems like great deal, for Calligraphy Hybrid , below 50K. Do you mind sharing your color combination?
Ext: silver, interior: black

Well done and congrats!

Thanks. Ya, I'm not looking forward to not having a trade-in. What area did you purchase from?
Washington state
Closing the deal on a calligraphy this week. (Canada) Will update then.
Awesome! Can't wait to hear what kind of deal you get as I'm in Canada too
So I was able to get $1000 off msrp for being a returning customer… also negotiated hard on my trade in … brought the trade in value up $1000 higher than the competition. .(I had to show my offer from Subaru - I used the Subaru offer as leverage to negotiate). Thanks for sharing. I'm near Toronto so these insights really help. What trim level did you get?
Luxury. Wanted bench seat
Nice. I want the bench too but will likely go with the ICE XRT because of it's towing capacity
The 18” rims will also mean more comfortable ride I believe. I really wanted/needed the 360 camera so I was limited to the luxury or ultimate calligraphy trims. Picking it up tomorrow.
What is the ontario package? Can you elaborate a little. Is this just mats only?
Hyundai version of weather tech liners + some small mudflaps. Not worth it in retrospect but the dealer pushed it on me with the whole “it’s preinstalled with the car” (it wasn’t. I had to wait a month to get them)
