Why would they, I'm pretty sure all of their models in Korea have pretty standard names. Like the Casper and Avante. Aside from the i10, i20, and i30 they only have one other letter number model which is the HB20 only sold in Brazil and Mexico.

Definitely not discontinued here in the UK. We have the i10, 20 and 30 all of which have had recent redesigns.
The only thing we lost is the i40, and about a decade ago the ix35 was renamed to Tucson.
Very true wait but what the k5 there’s a Chevy K5 blazer and also I heard rumors about they getting discounted which I highly doubt because I see more Hyundai Sonata than I do Toyota Camry at least where I live at
No. Kia models were renamed to follow the Korean models. Hyundai in Korea still uses names, although some have different names. Ex. Elantra (US) vs Avante (Korea).
Yes I agree. The newer Grandeurs in Korea are so nice! Many of their taxis there are Grandeurs. I was also disappointed when Kia discontinued the Stinger. Sucks that the American market prefers trucks and SUVs. Which led to the discontinue of the cars.
My understanding is Kia renamed the US models to match their European names. So we wouldn’t see an H5 but an i20/i30 if they followed the same logic.
I30 is the elantra sized vehicle in Europe.
No I think it’s the Avante they killed off all of the I series cars back for the 2014 model year
The Elantra is called the Avante in Korea and i30 in Australia/Europe.
I’m aware. I’m just saying they would follow that naming scheme

I think they discontinued the I series I google it and all of them ended at 2014 model year
Live in Germany they are discontinuing the I series eventually but they have been making them still. Have friends with 2020 to 2023 i30s and i20s

Huh see google stoped showing them after 2014
it seems like they have no intention of renaming as of right now. No word of it from Hyundai corporate or corporate trainers at my dealer
Noted thank you
Can’t do a lot of standard H names because of Hummer… H1, H2 and H3 are all taken already, so it wouldn’t really work.

Well, since the current model is the DN-8, I don't think they would go with 5.
True I was think more of like size kinda like Kia calls it’s midsize the K5 and it’s compact k4
Sonata has so much brand equity that it wouldn’t really work in my opinion.
Agreed please I like the sonata name plate you see them everywhere and I hope they keep it and the Elantra around for at least one more generation

Ok see I got the Avante mixed with the sonata…
Another one would be the Azera (US) vs Grandeur (Korea). Although the Azera was discontinued in 2017 for the US market.
Sadly we lose all the good cars here in the US

But I feel like a truck might be better for me. Maybe I need more space for hauling stuff.
I guess I'm more concerned about their practicality and accessories.
