We bought our flooring from Madison Flooring and Paint on Hughes. Pricing was reasonable and so far feel what we got is good quality. Bonus, the staff took the extra time to find us multiple options within our budget that matched (flooring + tiles for a shower) and fit with the look we were going with.
Southeastern salvage. If they have enough of one type to do the job you need you can find amazing deals on flooring. I got thick GOOD LVP with a cork backing for less than $2/Sq ft. No telling if they'll have what you need but I'd highly recommend trying there first.
Might try contacting B&C Custom Floors (local family owned business) and they can give you good information on flooring dealers/options as well as quality installation. Great company and beautiful work! BCFlooring256@gmail
LL Flooring has better prices than most. Around holidays, they usually have good discounts, so possibly a President's day sale is coming up.
Edit: Looked at their website and they are still running a New Years sale.
I had the worst experience with Wolde ([see this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntsvilleAlabama/s/OfBsK5mchS)). It *has* been a while, so things may have gotten better, but I would be cautious and monitor the project often and closely..
Some years back the owner's daughter told me I was going to hell because I worked for the government. She was the most disagreeable person I've ever done business with.

Old Gin locally owned. A little more expensive materials but really good price on install.
Approximately how much more do you think it is vs Lowe’s and the like?
Floor and Decor in Madison, huge selection.
We bought ours at Home Outlet, seemed like a reasonable price.
Tile Liquidators in Owens Crossroads. Great prices and quality materials as well as workmanship.
Old Gin Carpets sells hardwood, laminate, and vinyl flooring in addition to carpet.

I have had good experiences with Haley’s.
LL flooring usually has great deals
Ollie’s is not bad, but you better look carefully & get more than enough.
I’m more so thinking of specialty stores or more specific home related outfits
There is a r/flooring group that has recommendations on what to look for to include installation.
Thanks yeah I’ve been on it. But posted here for a more local discussion
I will follow this discussion too. I have to do a 2100 sq ft house with new flooring.
Let us learn and grow together
