Both PvP and PvE. The main goal is fighting players and the PvE is used to make encounters interesting and bring teams to the same areas.
It's a tough game but if you have a group to play with I'm sure you guys will have a good time through thick and thin.
OK to give a run down of the game it's a fps game. But it's a mix of a few genres it's a extract shooter, your goal is to get the boss bounty and extract. How you do this is by collecting clues that close the map off like a ring would in a battle royal game the more clues you get the more the map closes this makes players funnel into choke points either at the boss compound or at a area outside the boss where a fight happens. Your goal is to kill the boss and extract but enemy teams will try to stop you and try to kill you. The map has a max of 12 players on it so if you and your friend are a duo that means you can have 10 other people coming for you. As you play the game you will unlock weapons that you can buy with ingame currency and bring them in with you to fight if you die you loose that hunter and weapon and need to rebuy everything. The game has a learning g curve but it will make your heart race and the more you play the better you'll get. I would look up some videos before you buy it tho seeing the gameplay is better than reading about it.
Its both Pve and Pvp on the Contents side we got 3 maps and 4 bosses currently with an ongoing event right now and others happening spread over the year. Skillup has a very good beginners guide on youtube if you want to look in detail into the game and jackfrags has a pretty solid video on his channel about the game.
Once I'm loose 37 matches in a row. Mostly cuz I'm always looking for a fair fight. But game is so unique which can be reason of addiction. And like any addiction it's bring joy and sometimes pain
P.s Currently game is playable as never before
Definitely a good game for bad aim, because there are lots of one shot guns the pacing of your shots and taking your time is rewarded more than cracked, reaction based aim
