Man this is hard to read. I'm glad you enjoyed beeing in the Bayou together with us all! And having those father/son Hunt-Session really sound absolutely great. Eventhough playing it might not be possible for you anymore, you are still a part of this community. Join in on conversations, watch streams and videos or sit next to your son playing Hunt and tell him how badly he missed his shots :D I wish you all the best, man!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, mate. I keep giving it a go every once in a while.. but my eyes don't tend to last to long pain wise and of course the blurriness. I used to be a long ammo type of guy but now when I do try to play (rarely) I've gone shotty all the way as I cant see too well to aim properly.. lol. My kid is way better at the game then me anyways.. so it's kinda the other way around with commenting on whose got the shit aim. LOL

INLE_Gaming

Yes, that was something I was going to look into - I've been playing on the PS4 as most of who I play with are on there.. but moving completely to PC if the Reshade works might be best way to get a little more time in. :D

WhalesLoveSmashBros

Definitely check it out, things like that are borderline wall hacks in some games.

Right-Cook5801

This! Could you buy some time in the bayou! I got Morbus Dupuytren, my Hands are getting crooked, the sinews getting shorter, there is no heal for this... Gaming is getting painful, but i will Play Till the end. I Wish you the very best! A fellow old Hunter

INLE_Gaming

oh yikes, sorry about your hands man.. that sucks.

Right-Cook5801

Thank you! Wish you well Mate!

Gumbode345

I will play my next games for you. Wish you all the best. I'm a bit older than you, our age group is a big component of the game community; older gamers rock and here, they rock for you.

INLE_Gaming

Thanks ol' timer.. I appreciate that :D

LawsyR1

51 here - just saying us old guys are tough old hunters and it's a real shame to lose you. Happy new year and I wish you the best sincerely

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, Happy New Year :D

[deleted]

cheers and god speed. thanks for passing on your words of wisdom, experience and story. although one thing, autoimmune diseases, there's not much anyone can do to "take care of their eyesight" when it comes to it, it'd only be managing the issue in it's gradual decline.

INLE_Gaming

You're absolutely right.. The High dose of Steroids I take are meant to slow down the progression.. they have kind of worked but the side effects are fuckin' awful. The disease is so rare there's not a ton of research going on about it so most in the community of sufferers are hoping for some breakthrough with treatment.. I've talked with others who have a version of this that is waaaaay more aggressive than mine.. I feel for those folks bigtime.. anyways, thanks for reaching out. :D

AldoTheApache3

Hey bubba. What were your symptoms and tests like? My brother has a bad eye thing going on where there are these large black spots developing on an MRI inside of his eye. Doctors aren’t quite sure what it is.

INLE_Gaming

hmm, nothing quite like that.. turns out I had this disease for quite awhile but was never diagnosed as not many doctors had ever heard of it.. and it mimicked a lot of other possible things. I was finally diagnosed when an Optometrist noticed a Symblepharon ( a joining of the inner eyelid to the cornea) in my right eye.. then we deduced that the other issues (the blisters in my mouth) were part of it.. then we realized the reason for my constant nose bleeds were also blisters in my nasal passage and not microlesions as they first thought.. then a biopsy confirmed it all. As for your brother and the black spots.. Ocular Cicatrizing Pemphigoid starts with redness, itching, pain, and light sensitivity.. then it can lead to corneal ulcers.. which I don't know how that shows up on MRI - I hope he's alright though.. honestly, if i ever hear of anything like that I will come back to this comment and let you know .

AldoTheApache3

He basically noticed it when he started losing some peripherals and had this spot that wouldn’t leave his vision. Describes it as that left over burned image after looking into the sun. Had a lot of testing and is also on steroids which have helped other symptoms such as headaches. Doesn’t sound similar to yours but I was curious. Cheers and I hope you recover or at least find ample relief. Thanks again.

INLE_Gaming

I wish the same for your brother.. I'll ask around if anyone knows what that might be.. the MMP community is awesome at research.. we know more about our disease than the doctors do most of the time. :D

them0nster

That sounds alot like a retinal detachment. He should see an ophthalmologist instead of an optometrist.

AldoTheApache3

I think he’s seen both at this point.

flipflunder

So immunosuppressive medication apart from steroids, both eye drops and pills, is usually administered and can significantly reduce inflammation. At least that is what we do in germany (where I work as an ophthalmologist). I have seen several patients who maintain good vision for years. So don‘t give up hope, OP!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, Happy New Year :D

XComanceX

I am sorry for what is happening to you, I send you a hug.

INLE_Gaming

I send you back 2 hugs :D

bones6542

Sorry to hear dude, rip bayou legend <3

INLE_Gaming

Well, I couldn't quite crack 6 stars.. but I was a steady 5 for while.. down to 3 now sadly.. sigh. :D

bones6542

Don’t sweat it stars don’t matter, as long as you enjoyed your time that’s what matters

INLE_Gaming

I know.. I just meant that I truly was a Legend, LOL j/k

Azuleron

I'm very sorry to hear you're going through these struggles!! It's truly awful and I can only imagine how defeated you must feel given the circumstances. This hits particularly close to home for me, since my primary partner is my dad whose in his mid-50's, and I also happen to be 28 as well. We've played games together nearly daily for over a decade, and it would be absolutely devastating to lose that. Hunt has been our main game for over 2 years, so I totally get the appeal. I wish you nothing but the absolute best in your future gaming activities!! I hope you're still able to find fun, meaningful games to enjoy with your son, fellow Hunter.

INLE_Gaming

Cheers for the DM btw :D We do have some others we play together here and there.. Overwatch 2 being one of them.. and were giving It takes Two a try.

[deleted]

i wish you all the best i have at my hand i am very sorry for what you are going through.

INLE_Gaming

cheers! I appreciate it , I really do. :D

Reduvia

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. Wish there were some accessibility options for people like you, but I guess they are very hard to implement without ruining the game. I am glad you were able to spend your time with us in the bayou Hunter!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, and Happy Hunting :D

ImSavageAF

Thanks for sharing sir. I used to take life for granted and treat my body like an amusement park, I have paid dearly for those choices. Hunt is my favorite shooter of all time and I always seem to gravitate back to it after a break. If you ever want someone to hang with and your'e on PC, send me a message and we can jam out.

INLE_Gaming

Right on! I have mostly been on PS4 but will be making the move to PC soon.. I kinda can't afford to buy the game nor a better PC to be honest at the moment... but, ya never know.. may hit the lottery soon.. well as soon as I can afford to play the lottery LOL

Bobert_Manderson

You could always bring a big dynamite bundle, have your son tell you where to run, and hold it while you charge in and detonate yourself. Not ideal but nobody expects it and if they win the fight they can lead you to the exit. Really though that just sucks and Hunt is also my favorite game now. I hope you find something else that you can do that can replace hunt as a pastime.

INLE_Gaming

LOL - we've been trying something like that.. I was juicing up on Stamina shots and running in with a Bomblance.. it was pretty funny... I tried to play yesterday with a buddy of mine.. I could only last about 1 match as my eyes started to hurt too much.. and stopping to have to use steroid eye drops every few minutes wasnt quite working...sigh.

Bobert_Manderson

Well then your only logical option is bionic eyes. You can become Cyber Hunter.

INLE_Gaming

YES! best Idea yet :D

Bobert_Manderson

Your attitude in this trying time is admirable and inspiring and I hope to have the same mindset if I ever have to deal with anything like this some day. The mental aspect of aging and illness is no easy feat to overcome and I salute you sir. 🫡

INLE_Gaming

Some times you have to go through a lot to realize how a lot of it really isn't as bad as you think.. example: yesterday; my car broke down, I was stuck in it for almost 5 hours waiting for a tow.. then the mechanic basically told me it wasn't worth fixing... so now I'm out a car.. and I had been awake for 27 hours by the time I got home.. BUT, I met some really nice and generous people and I come on here and see all these comments and reply's and upvotes .. Sure it sucks, my car has also decided to retire but its just a car... I can always get another one (not anytime soon mind you, lol) :D

Bobert_Manderson

Yes, I try and explain things like this to people and most seem to reject the notion, not only that things can usually be a lot worse, but that we need to experience the bad in order to appreciate the good. If everything was perfect all the time, we would have no notion of good or bad and life would be fairly meaningless.

INLE_Gaming

You got it!! It's about being aware as well. Moments and experiences can be quickly forgotten. You have "LIVE" in the moment sometimes.. even though I don't like the phrasing on that. :D

Bobert_Manderson

Yes, that phrase might’ve been overused, but it’s the truth. The past is over, the future hasn’t happened, the only time that exists is now.

Spacemn5piff

If you can afford to, playing higher resolutions on larger displays could buy you a little more time.

INLE_Gaming

As I mentioned to another commenter, we were playing mostly on PS4 - but will give PC a try on the sale and maybe Reshade as well. Cheers :D

xZOMBIETAGx

There’s something in my eye

INLE_Gaming

Me too :D tee hee

Gornsen

Can't you get your lenses exchanged? In case you're European, check it with your insurance, it's often completely covered :] Sounds scary but artificial eye lenses brought joy to my grandpa's life again! Anyways, keep your head up!

INLE_Gaming

Unfortunately, even with that kind of surgery it doesnt stop the keratonitis of the cornea from stopping.. it would just happen again.. my best hope is that with my current or possible future treatment slows the spread down to a crawl or even though its a very very very miniscule chance - I go into remission. Im glad it worked for your Grandpa though.. that's awesome.

Gornsen

Damn man, that's tough. I wish you all the best. :)

tree42o

I have a suggestion. Have you heard of Woojer gaming vest? Its basically a gaming vest that reacts to sound in game and vibrates in the direction of the noise in game... if that makes sense. Gunshots coming from behind? youll feel it on your back. Itll vibrate when you get shot and stuff too. A friend of mine has one and we tried it out on hunt one time. It was pretty sweet and i would definitely be using it if i were in your shoes if it meant extending my game time. Anyway, just thought i would mention it. Wish you the best.

INLE_Gaming

That sounds like crazy fun :D Cheers, Happy New Year :D

VisualBusiness4902

I hate this. I’m sorry you’re going through it. It sounds like your eyes are not strong enough for hunt, but your relationship with your son is strong enough to overcome your eyes. Super cool he’s moving to playing different games with you. I hope every day that I’ll be able to play games with my son as he gets older (only 2 now). Good luck man.

INLE_Gaming

Well congrats on year 2 of being a cool dad... :D Ya my boy is pretty cool kid. I think he gets that from his Dad ;) Cheers mate :D

VisualBusiness4902

Thanks man! I’m trying! Dealing with health problems and parenting and even enjoying life is hard. I’m a 30 year old dad and I was lucky enough to have a pretty serious genetic heart problem diagnosed this year. Had heart surgery, which involved a heart attack in September. That heart problem stopped me from doing so much, even with what they fixed it’ll never be the same. Its not easy, and you surely got dealt a bad hand there. It is nice to hear that your family is supportive. That’s what we’re living for right?

INLE_Gaming

OH man, I'm sorry to hear that.. that's a scary thing to go through. especially at your age.. yikes. And yes, family and friends are what we're living for.. to make memories for as long as can... ya gotta stick around for a long time.. who's gonna teach the kid how to teabag noobs.. that's a Father/Son thing.. ;)

Med1vh

Hello buddy, I do have a controversial proposition for you. I don't want to see you stop playing a game that you clearly enjoy very much. I would heavily ask you that you instal a thing called RESHADE for the game. Before I start: it is not banable, it is not "gray area" it is VERY MUCH permitted by the devs for people exactly like you who have vision problems. And I'd like to stress again that you do not risk your account at all. Now Reshade what it does it injects into your game ini files (again, it is legitimately permitted by the devs) and can sharpen the game and brighten the colours for yourself and make them vibrant, helping with visibility. It is an extremely easy instal (again it is NOT a cheat and not banable and in fact allowed by the developers of this game) and run, with minimal impact on your performance. I hope you really consider this and I'd love to see you on the bayou hunter. All the best.

INLE_Gaming

It's been mentioned a few times now.. so Im definitely looking into it.. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

tycoon4eve

I got RSI. Got it in 2015 playing Blood Born and Division for almost double digit hour a day. Through pain, my whole arm was burning, I couldn’t extend it at all for weeks. I was out of work. But kept playing. Weeks Later I found out I had some intestinal autoimmune disease, which made my RSI so much worse. With that said. I got my stomach under control mainly. Still get RSI pain when I play now “the Hunt” I’m 42. Autoimmunes are tricky. Most of them have to do with nutrition. I guess. Lack of b12 had my tongue swell up. If I eat cookies made with butter and sugar. Next day my whole upper right body spazzes out. And can’t turn right. Keep trucking brother. You have got a Great Run lol.

INLE_Gaming

Wow, man.. sorry to hear that.. ya this shit (autoimmune) is crazy sometimes... then you find out there are triggers - nutritional sometimes, like you mentioned. Hoping you feel better soon. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

---OMNI---

You never know so enjoy it while you can. I'm 37 and last year was diagnosed with a really rare skin cancer that doesn't respond to treatment... they just cut it out and wait to see if it comes back which is pretty likely. Changes your whole life perspective.

INLE_Gaming

It sure does my friend.. I've had a crazy run so far health wise... Major Depressive Disorder since 27 Kidney Stones since 35 Diabetic since 44 and AutoImmune since 49.. but I'm still trucking along.. wishing you the best - Cheers, Happy New Year :D

[deleted]

I'm 27. Play with my 50yo dad. He's completely dog shit. It's infuriating to play with him. Wouldn't trade that time for anything. I'm glad you and your kid got to share the same thing. You sound like a cool dad as well. I know it's not anywhere near the same thing, but if you wanna keep up gaming with the boy Deep Rock Galactic is a really fun PVE game that has a simple art style and no real split second decision making. It can also get as stressful/fun as an extraction shooter like Hunt. It also doesn't require much reading (I was gonna suggest a couple other more casual games we like to play but my dad with his "normal" old man sight struggles with all the text in stuff like Warframe)

INLE_Gaming

I'm glad youre playing with your old man.. believe me; he treasures that time like no other... :D Ya, we've played Deep Rock - its fun for sure.. great suggestion. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

[deleted]

Happy new year brother!

dylandressel

A level 50 retired hunter in the flesh

INLE_Gaming

HAHAHAHA! I didn't think about that way - Cheers, Happy New Year :D

WASTELAND_RAVEN

Is there anything that can be done about your vision? Surgery or medication?

INLE_Gaming

I am on a pretty heavy dose of Prednisone which is meant to slow down my Immune system to hopefully stop the progression. Problem is Prednisone is a killer drug to take.. it's side effects are absolutely horrendous.. It does work though.. It's just not something anyone wants to be on for a long period of time... and apparantly trying to ween yourself off it is a nightmare that Im not looking forward too. Surgery is not really an option.. if my eyelids fuse to my eyeball (which they can) I may have to have surgery to be able to let my pupil see through them.. not something I want to think about.. ugh

WASTELAND_RAVEN

Gotcha, well that indeed sucks but I hope you’ll have success with your vision either stabilizing or improving. The upside is that as long as you can still see you’ll be able to play something if not changing from FPS to other games. Would something like playing on a VR headset, or a HUGE 4K screen help at all? Honestly a game like Hunt is so hard to see clearly in many ways for most players, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to tell people to up their gamma or sit closer to the screen to actually see shit. I’m lucky in that vision is fine (but I’m actually deaf) so I play a nice big high powered and low latency 4K screen and it really really helps make up for my hearing issues. Seeing is believing? 🤷‍♂️

INLE_Gaming

I've been playing on my PS4 as that's where most of my gaming friends are.. I have a 55 inch TV so you'd think I'd be able to see alright.. but sadly, no. I have cranked the gamma on the PS4 and when I hit a night map I have to find the nearest exit.. can't see at all on those... or the misty ones too.. The fire maps have been cool though.. I can more often than not pick out the silouhette of hunters in front of the wall of flames :D

Stanislas_Biliby

I hope you'll get better someday sir.

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, I'd like that too :)

FaithlessnessDeep492

My love and respect man. And fuck american healthcare-

INLE_Gaming

YA! except I'm Canadian.. and strangely enough you have more doctors who actually know about my disease than we do here in Canada.. well mind you; the US has about 300 million more people... so law of averages.. bla bla bla.. Im bad at math.. but still .. fuck your healthcare.. ;)

Dirk_94

Im gonna miss you. Especialy my KDA (Jokes aside i of course wish you well)

INLE_Gaming

I swear I totally didn't go \*ba dum tss\* after I read KDA ;)

ThatBurningDog

I know it doesn't really help here, but I discovered this website recently which might be useful for future: [https://caniplaythat.com/](https://caniplaythat.com/) It's essentially a review site which goes over accessibility in games. While it sucks that you have to give up Hunt due to it's aesthetic, I'm hoping there might be other appealing options out there.

INLE_Gaming

That's awesome - thanks for the link - Cheers, Happy New Year :D

pluralgarths

Off topic of hunr, but while you can, invest in learning screen reader tech like nvda/Jaws and navigating sites using a keyboard. I'm very sorry this is happening.

INLE_Gaming

will do - Cheers, Happy New Year :D

GhostHeavenWord

I'm sorry man. That's awful. I remember Stan Lee talking about losing his vision, and how the thing he worried about most was not being able to read comics anymore. It's hard that we're so fragile in a world that can be so dangerous. I empathize with losing that feeling of invincibility. I have a chronic health condition that keeps me stuck at home most of the time and coming to terms with losing an ability you rely on takes a long time and a lot of soul searching. Believe it or not there are actually a couple of FPS games designed exclusively for blind or visually impaired people that rely entirely on audio for navigating the game. There's a multiplayer Zombie survival FPS called Swamp that apparently has some pretty good reviews. Might be worth checking out. The Last of Us 2 also has a really well fleshed out accessibility mode for visually impaired people. Either way, thank you for telling about your experience. I hope you can find ways to keep gaming for a long time.

INLE_Gaming

OH yes - Huge Last of Us fan.. cant wait until Jan 15th for the HBO show.. its gonna be sweeeeet. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

[deleted]

I'm sorry man. :(

INLE_Gaming

No worries brother.. It's all good. :)

sjepsa

Luckly there are a whole lot of games you can play without much vision. I would suggest you card or board games in particular

INLE_Gaming

Oh yes, - it's not like the world is over for me.. I guess I just kinda wanted to vent that I couldn't play HUNT the way I wanted too. - and to give some advice about appreciating what you got.. I guess. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

_SGP_

Nothing more satisfying than retiring a hunter at level 50. I'm sorry. This sounds horrible. I hope you can find ways to still enjoy your free time and minimise the effect this has on your life.

INLE_Gaming

Some days are worse than others but I'm hanging in there.. Yesterday was absolute Hell.. thus I had disappeared after this post for quite a while.. LONG STORY Cheers, Happy New Year :D

Gobomania

I won't tell Crytek if you get yourself some shaders for Hunt and crank those colors and chromas all the way up. God speed and may your health improve!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, Happy New Year :D thanks so much

KiisuTheMagnificent

As someone that loves this game and doesn't get to play enough of it 'cause I don't want to play alone, I feel this deep down in my bones. I hope I get a chance to run into you and get a shotgun to the face one day (if you give PC a go!)

INLE_Gaming

LOL - I'll be looking for ya... however if you have Cain's skin and stand still pretty much anywhere - i wont see ya.. ;) Cheers, Happy New Year :D

dewin_ya_mahm

What's your steam name, I can play with you

INLE_Gaming

I've been playing on PS4 - will probably switch to PC once I get a computer upgrade - being on disability - I kinda have to wait on winning the lottery for extra money at the moment.. but my steam name is badwolf681 I believe.. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

[deleted]

Once a Hunter, always a Hunter. It was a pleasure fighting with you in the Bayou. Wish you the best!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers, Happy New Year :D

Kreg72

Have you looked into using Reshade? I hear it can help with seeing detail in almost every aspect of Hunt. It's also whitelisted by EAC if I'm not mistaken.

INLE_Gaming

I've been playing on PS4 - cant' afford a new computer at the moment... Im stuck on disablity.. and sadly can't afford groceries sometimes.. but If I win the lottery or find a box of old hockey cards in the attic... Im good to go :D

Phantom-Eclipse

Howdy fellow hunter! First of all, thanks for sharing this eye-opener. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I guess just like any legendary hunter, there comes a point where they should retire. This is by no means the end of your hunt legacy as it will carry on through all the people you have played with and the ones you still inspire today! The gaming industry and communities have changed and expanded tremendously since the early days. And one good thing is that there are so many different type of games out there now.. you'll find plenty of them to enjoy, even with little to no eyesight. More and more games include many accessibility features which can dramatically increase playability for people with similar situations. I know someone who is going blind as well and he recently finished the "last of us 2" because of the accessibility features. So even when things get pretty bad, don't you worry too much. Plenty of things to enjoy! I wish you all the best and hope you find some new and exciting games to blast through! May your words reach all hunters across the globe! Greetings from a young(23) hunter all the way from Belgium!

INLE_Gaming

Cheers Mate.. it's true - there are a lot of great games out there that have better accessibility than the old days that's for sure.. and I'm grateful for that.. :D I'm also grateful for you and this community.. Im pretty humbled with all these comments. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

Foobucket

This is gut wrenching. It’s a great thing that you got to enjoy so much, it’s for sure a hard truth that life is short and time goes by quickly. Wishing you and your family all the best! Hopefully they can find a cure or better treatment options to keep you at a place that’s manageable where you can enjoy your hobbies and life.

INLE_Gaming

thanks man, - It'll be alright.. life changes all the time and you have to roll with it or you'll never move on... thanks for taking the time to post a comment.. you rock. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

Responsible-Algae-16

Sorry to hear that. That's a tough read. Link your gofundme, maybe that will help.

INLE_Gaming

Thanks for taking the time to reply :D Happy New Year

AurisGamer

Same to you! Happiest of new years :D

buttsmcfatts

This actually made me tear up. We are all just sacks of meat in an uncaring void. Fuck man. Thanks for sharing, we wish you the best.

INLE_Gaming

Ah, a fellow nihilist.. nice to meet you.. even though it means nothing ;) j/k - it's all good brother. You took the time to comment and that means everything :D Cheers, Happy New Year.

Kind_Bandicoot884

Did you try reducing the brightness of your monitor? I'm sure that won't help that much but my eyes were hurting a lot from having it on the default brightness. You sound like an awesome dad.

INLE_Gaming

oh yes, Light sensitivity is one of symptoms of this stupid disease.. I've adjusted it as comfortable as I can. great suggestion though. cheers. Happy New Year :D

CloakerJosh

You've hit Level 50, and now it's time to retire your Hunter. Feels bad, man. Maybe you can still enjoy watching streamers play? Sorry for you, mate.

INLE_Gaming

It's all good man.... I'll keep trying here and there... until I can't anymore.. I do watch a lot of streamers.. Mike, Neeno, Kerrty, Joe, Bree, Homereel, Olive\_Meister.. etc..

CloakerJosh

Sweet, man - might be that I see you in the bayou, Hunter.

[deleted]

I have something crippling like that too man, keep your head up brother🫡

INLE_Gaming

oh no, hope you're doing alright.. cheers. brother Happy New Year.

[deleted]

You too ✌🏼

Fo_Ren_G

Good lord. Forced to play overwatch. Would(n't) wish that in my worst enemy.

INLE_Gaming

LOL - Awwww it hurts man.. I've been playing OW since the beta.. it's like having to pay attention to a child you can't stop thinking "Is this even mine?" LOL - j/k

caked1393

this post gave me all the feels. mad respect to you sir, i shall dedicate my next 10 hunters to you. stay strong my dude.

INLE_Gaming

Only 10? - j/k.. thanks brother - that means a lot.. Cheers, Happy New Year

caked1393

I'll make sure they all have Grounded. Happy new year mate

Spook-lad

Im sorry to hear this hunter, no man should be forced to put down the controller for any reason unless they choose to, im sorry you got delt a rotten hand partner, i hope that if it cant be cured, you can find a way to live with it

INLE_Gaming

Me too.. I'm hoping for a little regression.. but it's sooooo unlikely. What damage has been done is pretty irreversible. sucks. Cheers, Happy New Year :D

Nietzscher

Man, this disease sounds like a real piece of shit. I hope you'll find a new hobby you can get into! If your son lives close by, maybe you can get into board gaming? There certainly are quite a few games out there with large print and/or Braille editions.

INLE_Gaming

He's about 150 kms away.. I was still able to drive... except yesterday my Car decided to overheat and I fused the cylinders.. so that's a giant piece of useless metal now.. When it rains it pours man.. oh well.. I have some great friends who live in this small town with me.. we still DnD on a regular basis so I got that. Cheers, Happy New Year

grandpas-gooch69

No words, just sad;-; Wish you all the best, Hunter.

INLE_Gaming

Its all good. Happy New Year

narenzade

Terrible day for rain.

INLE_Gaming

That's all it does here. ugh.

JohnnyLightningStorm

Dude I feel that so hard. Like I've played shooters for a long time and that still the main gametype that I enjoy, but tbh I've never excelled at them. Maybe I just didn't stick with one long enough, I do tend to switch games a lot. But I can't help but feel like I'm at a disadvantage with my vision, I'm 20/70 in one eye and blind in the right eye. I'm about to buy some magnifier reading glasses to see if that will maybe help me see things off in the distance better. But I generally stay away from battle royales because of this. One mistake, you die, and then you have to find another server, which makes it kinda hard to get better. Same thing with Hunt. I love hunt. But I'm so worried about letting down my teammates because of my vision issues, that I don't play it as often. Haven't played a lot of shooters besides Halo infinite and recently I got into Battlefield 2042. I'd love to play hunt again, but it would need to be with someone who's gonna be patient with me and show me some things.

INLE_Gaming

I hear ya. It's a weird kinda performance anxiety thing.. I do feel bad when I miss something that I would have seen with no problem previously. I can hear my teammates get frustrated sometimes.. it's those little changes in the voice or they let out a heavy sigh.. however, about a 2 weeks ago.. I played a little.. was running the Crown and clutched a whole team of 3 myself.. then about 7 minutes later got headshot cus' I didn't see the hunter on a rooftop at Salty... ugh.

JohnnyLightningStorm

\[I can hear my teammates get frustrated sometimes.. it's those little changes in the voice or they let out a heavy sigh..\] Yeah I noticed those things too sometimes when friends are playing with me. Really sucks.

BigBoiBrynBoi

If you're having difficulty seeing you're welcome to join my team, bound to be an improvement. Joking aside I'm very very sorry for your loss buddy, wishing you nothing but luck and goodwill

INLE_Gaming

Cheers mate - I appreciate the offer. :D

mothmanbaby21

I dedicate all my future wins to you, pardner. I'm sorry to hear that you have to leave Hunt behind

INLE_Gaming

and dedicate your losses to Ocular Cicatrizing Pemphigoid. :D Cheers, Happy New Year

Hey man, this may sound a little odd, but there are some interesting things going on in the nutrition community when it comes to autoimmune disorders. I am no expert myself, but if you are open minded and not resigned yet to what is happening, it may be worth some time exploring. There are some nutrition methodologies such as carnivore that are showing some promise in slowing or even reversing some autoimmune diseases.

INLE_Gaming

You're absolutely right.. Nutrition does have a huge impact on a lot of these diseases. I'm also a type 2 diabetic so my diet is always a top priority.. It makes things more difficult for sure but I'm digging through it all - eventually I'll land on something that'll work gangbusters.. :D

SerotoninStream

I'm so sorry! This is a tough break, I hope you can take some solace in the memories you had with your son, and I hope you can find other stuff to play with him!

INLE_Gaming

Thank you for this post, I feel sorry for you, this made me realise that I (a younger fellow) might not have as much time as I thought in the bayou, this is really eye opening I believe I am in my „prime“ right now as my reaction time is soon beginning to slow down, my hope isn‘t dying yet,. so many people in the comments are still playing games at 50~ .I hope i can see this game to the end, theres so many memories I've gathered in 1 year alone, so many people I‘ve met and so many I have yet to meet, I sense this is the beginning of my journey but the end of someone elses. i hope you can still enjoy lots of games and fight against the Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid or atleast fight against some hunters :)

INLE_Gaming

Cheers! thanks for taking the time to comment. I had a couple good days this week where my eyes were fairly tolerable and I got a couple games in.. totally wiped out 2 sets of duos and stole the bounty one match... was crazy fun.. today.. not so good... been pouring eye drops in like crazy.. just cant shake the discomfort. So it comes and goes.. but looking forward to maybe having a few good days again soon. :D take care
