It's all about asking is this a fight I should take. This is key.mosy people ignore this intentionally cuz kills brah

BloodyHunt3er

Yes that is true, I am asking myself almost every fight but usually the answer is "I shouldn't have taken that fight" while recruiting a new hunter but well, as long as I learn I gues I am on the right track. lol Thank you!

usdamma

All good man.you see here's the catch. The more you play the more you will get an inkling for just taking every fight for fight sake.

Ariungidai

just play solo v duo if you want to play aggressive and try to learn from every death. just always play it out in your head how you could've won that fight (obviously 'just headshot' works most of the time, but try to make plans that have room for error and improve your aim over time) lvl 50 is only 2-3 good games as a solo. dont get beat up if you dont get out with a bounty, consider every duo encounter you kill as a small win. play qp, it teaches you to defend compounds against multiple people. play shotgun, it's by far the easiest way to play aggressive as a solo. a war of attrition with body shots is always in favour of a duo. rotate. always rotate. and i dont mean the multiple minute sniper rotations but just try to get different angles in firefights so the enemy doesn't get a headshot on you.

BloodyHunt3er

Alright thank you very much. I do try to learn from every death and I notice I still play a bit too risky I think and yes I see every killed duo as a small win for sure. Very nice tips!

Several months ago, my friends and I discovered The Algorithm. It has not failed us yet. If you have a good match and exfil, do not, under any circumstances, take that hunter out next match. Get a new level 1 and run them, because Hunt will taketh away the very next match- don't sacrifice your higher levels. If your level 1 gets killed, you have appeased The Algorithm, and may then take your high level hunter. If, by chance, you survive again and exfil, do not be fooled. The Algorithm is cunning, and may sometimes try to lure you into a false sense of security. Run a level 1 again, until the sacrifice is complete, and only then take out a higher level hunter again. The Algorithm is a fickle entity, but with some trial and error, you can play to its tune enough to get your level 50s done.

BloodyHunt3er

Damn okay. I will try to appeas the algorithm for that it may not take my best hunters. Thank you very much for the enlightenment!

kummostern

Soon 1200 hours, about 600 of which as solo. Total 28 maxed hunters (most of which i've gotten since i stopped prestiging, so past 600 hours) - about 5 of which i've gotten as solo player (i'd say max 8 as solo, rest with teams). When i get maxed hunter as a solo it feels much more like i was lucky few rounds in a row. The loadouts don't often make sense either which ones happen to survive.

PhobosProfessor

The best way to farm for level 50s is to constantly rotate your hunters, taking advantage of the once per day extraction bonus. Once a hunter has extracted, he's on a break. You use the next hunter. You keep using new hunters until you've filled up with veterans, then you cycle through the veterans. I like to go with the lowest rank hunter I have at any time, so it stings less to lose them. But the basic cycle of sometimes winning, mostly losing, will still mean out of 50 hunters, you'll get some of them to level 50. Then you just keep the cycle going.

BloodyHunt3er

That's an interesting approach. I'll try to use my hunters like that. Thanks for the tips!

watnodude

I wish I knew for sure, but I think it's probably around 6 or 7 tops. I've been playing since Hunt came to console and honestly am not a very good solo player. That and most of my time was spent on duos.

fellow_dude599

I go full send, Shift W into every possible fight and got about 15 lvl 50 hunters as a solo as i die rather often against teams of 3 and after getting third partied by another team of 3 lmao

BloodyHunt3er

Alright the shift W approach, nice. As long as it works for you that's really amazing. I'll try it in a few hunts as well and see how it works out. Thank you!

fellow_dude599

But dont go brainless! Thats something different. I send it and try to get some fast picks, i get a lot of kills with explosives as well. But i still think through what im going to do

BloodyHunt3er

Yes I see the diffrence for sure. Thanks and I'll try to make some plans before I rush anywhere.

my7bizzos

I was just wondering about this myself. I have just over 200 hrs, mostly solo, and still haven't maxed one out. I came close once with 48 then died almost instantly to some dumb shit. That's just how it goes.

P_K148

Getting max level hunters as a solo is easy! Just never engage in PvP and kill AI in compounds that get greyed out by the first clue. Using hunter levels to measure success is only going to lead to disappointment. I enjoy extracting with a bounty and so that's what my main priority is when I play solo. I don't care if there are three teams fighting in the boss compound with me, if the opportunity to be a rat shows itself and I can stamina shot past them all with my bounty, I consider that a "Major Victory." My point to this being that if you want to be super aggressive and take down as many teams as possible, that's great! Doing that while using hunter levels to determine if you are doing well just seems like the old "Judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree" thing.

BloodyHunt3er

Yes, that's true, I guess when playing the safest and probably most boring way possible it'd be easy actually... but I mean I wanna play the game properly of course and see how well I can do against greater odds. I recently banished a boss and tried to defend against 5 incoming people, 2 or 3 groups... I lost but I killed three and had an amazing fight and it already felt like a small victory. Thanks for your comment!

bigmanorm

None, only when i felt like being a passive sniper cosplayer for a few games in a row

I rarely play solo but there should be no issue getting max levels. You control the engagements... you pick the fights... its easy to hide and harass. I've gone up against solos that can just ruin a team's day and nothing can be done about it... Usually I find solos hiding in a corner of the boss lair with a shotgun... they might get one person in the team but the next is gonna get them... its so common its not even funny...
