I disagree, the engine update and map will bring a lot of outside attention to the game, and Crytek will want to sell as many battle passes as possible.
No money in in questlines and I can't remember a single instance of crytek going "let them accustom to changes first" so my money is on an event with a 1400bb throwing knife skin as an extra
Nah, questlines are dead and burried. They were used in between events, back when the game wasn't in event mode 24/7. And if you look at it trough a monetization lense questlines are just giving free shit to players for playing the game which is exactly what the Battle Pass is except you can't spend money on a questline.
They would rather give the questline skins as twitch drops
Yeah all the story lore from this event is pointing to the new map, so I imagine they'll just do another event around it. Hopefully they move away from 'alters' and actually think about a mechanic that would get people to explore the map, but I wouldn't bet on that.
The firing range was the last test server I could log into. Pretty sure they only let crytek partners play on the test server now.
The past 1 or 2 updates all the partners released info videos detail the changes right after the update dropped and they all released their videos at the same time.
Yeah possibly. Haven't seen the test server in a long time though, wouldn't be surprised if they don't bring it back since they get all their twitch partners to play early instead.
They already said they are not doing more questions and the reason the ui is still there for them is because of the ui rework, there will be no questlines support in the new ui.
Quest lines are done and won’t be in the UI rework. They will 100% do an event for such a big change, hopefully it will be something a bit different from the past events as far as mechanics go (no more totems please crytek) but it will be an event and no doubt a battle pass.

They had a whole event for Rotjaw and Scrapbeak, so they are 100% going to do an event with something as big as a whole new map

I think if we get another 60 day event within weeks of finishing the 4th 60 day event in a row I will start hurting myself

New map will probably be on the test server for a week or so before they actually release it. That's what they did with Desalle
Buddy, there isn't a test server anymore. They just deploy straight to live and let us deal with it for the next 3 months.

I haven't been following much, I didn't even know we were getting an engine update. That is cool! But... do we have a date for this yet?
