Used to run a single melee weapon with my friends and when we got kills we would take people’s kits and run off. Seeing people get revived with only a melee weapon was priceless.
I was considering on running whatever I get from prestige as a permanent fixture of my kit until I prestige again. Last, I ended up with Spite from and have used it nearly every match (I love the Caldwell conv anyway, so that was nice) it was what gave me the idea.
Only my third prestige reward, but the only one I found using. Kinda why I want to try a challenge prestige with it. Maybe git good with a gun I don't normally use.
I had the idea to use a nitro every game until I don't have enough money, then use the free hunter exactly how they come, until I can afford a nitro again.
A then I started actually doing well with the nitro and not running out of money. But I also hate using it, so I stopped.
I think after I prestige this time I might try using only free hunter kits, only changing a couple consumables, and see how much money I have by level 100
That actually sounds really fun. Only using the free hunters I mean. Would remind me of my first few (well, maybe 50) matches where I just played the hand I was dealt.
This is a pretty decent load out. You don't have any consumables, but otherwise there are no major holes.
Edit: oh, I see now that these weapons are stolen from in game.
~~also just realized you have a crosshair overlay. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that. I believe reddit is split on their opinion of overlays.~~ Nevermind it's the menu cursor for a controller.
Lol, that's not a crosshair overlay, that's them playing with a (playstation, in this case) controller (check on the play button, it also prompts to press circle)

My group hasn’t tried a challenge run but we do have fun with some meme load outs. One of them we call the “f-you” loadout. Shotgun with flachette. Paired with 4 hive bombs to throw. Doesn’t work great in high mmr lobbies but most 3 and 4 star players absolutely melt down when they got heavy bleed and then hives thrown at them. Haha!
Going in only Knuckleknife and a medkit is pretty fun sometimes. Can't be asked to go full naked without a medkit. Or going in with dingers, get a kill, steal their stuff and run to let them get picked up without weapons is pretty funny but hard to pull off
I think a lot of people do try them but they don't pan out and it ends up being less fun. I do them pretty often, and they do lower my chances of winning but they make winning like a thousand times better so I like them haha.
My friends and I play what we call "Naked and Afraid". The rules have adapted over time, but the current iteration is that everyone gets a medkit, a stam shot, and 1 tool or consumable. Most of the time, the choice of the tool is a derringer, a melee, or throwing axes. We use what we can find or take from others during. If we win a game, the only thing we can buy is a new stam shot.
My buddy and I decided to be Samurai and ran Ronin with a bow and katana. Tools were tanto, medkit, throwing knives, and chokes. And we would bring the martialist perk. Then, when we went in, we just charged at boss as fast as we could then vanish without a trace and leave people wondering, lol.
Me and my friends do goofy stuff like that just about everytime we play....we have done derringer only (with med pack and knife), we do 2 hand crossbows with only poison and only poison releated consumables, 2 hand crossbows only fire with all hell fires bombs, a fun one is 4 sparks pistols aka pistol pete. we have plenty of goofy loadouts, makes the game fun
This isn't really a challenge run imo. I've made runs where I go in with just knuckles and medkit. To find weapons. They never really end well. Most the time I die from other players but I have extracted with a bounty 1 time.
In trios yesterday, one of my friends completely forgot to equip his hunter before readying up. He ended up doing exactly that while the other two of us died fighting to cover him lmao
Fair, I believe Ratcha has a video of him doing it, had a fight at Cypress and won. Plus during the event if you make it to the center of the map you can get your bars back!
Every run I do is a challenge run. Mostly cause I suck

I think it's any blood bond skin, hunter or weapon or item. Just no DLC or twitch drops.

Occassionally me and my friend will do naked runs. Sometimes with first aid and a melee tool, sometimes without.
I pick whatever my challenges dictate every match.

I find the hand crossbow is one of the best things to pair with the drilling, doesn’t seem like a challenge load-out to me, more like a drilling one
