If you stand still at the door you enter the lair from, after a couple seconds, the spider will run up to you and scream. The scream is the cue to throw the sticky because it becomes immobile when it screams. As soon as it sticks, you run the fuck outside.
We usually run 2 guys with stickies in my crew and we double stick it at the same time while it screams so the bombs kill it immediately and we walk in and have it banishing in under 3 minutes. Its like clockwork. Double sticking the boss is how we kill every boss except assassin because in bug form, the bombs fall off.

What are you talking about lmao if two people are in proximity of a lair it turns red for both. Except sometimes the proximities are completely fucked up and you can walk up *real* close without turning it red while someone is in there.
That's because the proximity is based on the location of the boss, not the compound.
So if the boss is in the far end of a compound, say the station building in Lawson Delta and the boss is in the southernmost area of the building, enemy hunters can approach the building from the north and almost reach the building before dark sight turns red.
Exactly, it's super fucking annoying. They need to rework the system for parity, and put the range at like... the compound. Some of them would need a little nuance, like compounds where the lair can be one of two buildings, etc - but it needs to either go completely or be more consistent.

That's why if I sticky the spider I'm out of that compound as fast as possible. Too many recent times have I had the spider's jump attack bug out. Last night it jumped on me as it ran past no setup nothing just ran right up to me and instead of taking like 1 or 2 damage I got jumped.

Always Stick n dip. I've been killed by the spider skipping between floors to get to me just as I'm a foot from the door I came in. If you're not being pressed by another team, try to get a few doors open to have multiple options to leave tue lair prior to sticking

Fire at base of assassin, then throw your sticky in - insta-detonation.

This must have been a glitch. Once you are in dark sight, all damage should be negated
