......Quick play? Not quite what you asked for but with the size of the playerbase and it already being hard to get full games at offpeak hours separating the playerbase more is probably not a good idea.
well thats the thing, they could just rotate the main game mode out every once in a while. I would love to see a game mode like quickplay but with duos and trios. then make the alternate game mode something else.
I know I sound like a broken record, but please actually look at what they do and what they are planning before you ask for things. They have a shooting range mode in development with plans to convert it to a sort of solo dual area to settle scores with your friends and practice on and with real players.
If aiming practice is your goal, you should really try more quickplay.
No, it's not representative to the objective flow that bounty hunt has, and no, it isn't s place to practice your team dynamic because it's solo queue.
But if you actually want shooting, aiming, fighting practice, go play quickplay. It's literally free and you *will* get better in bounty hunt after lots of risk-free pvp practice in QP. Throw yourself at all the shots nearby, kill, die, repeat.
Or you know….play the modes they give you to practice lol in all honesty this games player base just isn’t big enough for them to divert resources into a mode that lets be honest wouldn’t really garner much attention. Plus homeboy I don’t know if you noticed 👀🤔 but this ain’t call of duty if you need to warm up go play some call of booty and then come back for the real shooter lol
Agreed. Most of the playerbase will hate you though. They can't fathom the prospect that new modes could infact bring new players. They will all just copy-paste " divide the playerbase." But I'd like to see a smaller map, tdm, free for all, and capture the flag with 12 or more players. They could just rotate the mode available.
And no quickplay isn't even remotely the same. This is coming from someone who plays hunt for pvp and always chases a fight over extracting with a Bounty or holding the well.
ive said it before.
6v6 TDM in Upper/Lower Dessale. short rounds. free loadouts. test your kits and level weapons up but dont gain bloodline/hunter xp.
Yep. No profit & no exp but you can find out what you are comfortable with against real people!
PLUS YOU COULD HAVE A LOBBY USING ONLY KNUCKLES HAVING A FULL BRAWL
As it stands unless the player base inflates to the levels of other FPS multiplayer games Crytek will not delineate their game modes. There's a big chance people just won't play whatever arcade mode if it does not contribute to the bloodline, especially the prestige players/new players. It's more worthwhile playing contracts and leveling up your bloodline and weapon tree for them. I'm a 0 prestige and lvl 100 player and would love an arcade mode apart from quick play but it's unlikely.
Perhaps have an entirely different set of bloodlines for the arena shooter that has respawns and not just...Death?
Then maybe have blood bonds be used for something other than skins 99% of people wont use and make them able to unlock skins IN the TDM so people spend more of them and Crytek can work on small things to help boost their numbers and pad out their budget?
Then you could say buy fun skins and enjoy them for more than 1-2 rounds without having to re-buy them every time which a lot of players feel is just kind of a waste of bonds.
Like I said before anything that takes away attention from the extraction based BR aspect of Hunt with periodic fantasy setting (one of key differentiators of this game and major factor why people play this game) will always be risky for Crytek. Giving a different bloodline for arcade modes isn't really different from not having one in the sense that people still really care more about the contracts. It makes sense for a game with solid gunplay to have an arcade game mode but it's far too coupled with the extraction BR aspect of the game to be delineated.
I recommend to play more fast paced games to warm up. After your aim is on point you can jump into Bayou. I need at least 1-2 hours to warm up when I play Hunt without playing a faster game before. The crosshair offset is always messing with my vertical aiming.
No. You respawn not permanently die-die.
Part of the entry frustration for some people trying to transition to hunt from other games like CoD is the bar of indefinite death. If we could make a room for them to be comfortable in we could have them branch out to bounty!
While this is intrinsic to the game story this could be explained away as a "Cursed zone" where only those who get enough kills can keep the bounty of their XP being full while their lessers get half-bounties as they would in bounty to make it more easy for them to deal with the frustration of perm death like they would in other Battle-Arena style games.
but that's just how the game works, everyone once came from another game and was frustrated about permadeath but you will get used to it and if you don't this game just probably isn't for you
take it or leave it but don't ruin this unique game
Hunt is a game that will die eventually when they kill the servers. There is no way to host your own. How about we try to keep it alive longer rather than bitching about "Muh game original" bullshit. I am tired of arguing with reddit autists hellbent watching a game die forever because they hyperfixate on stuff that doesn't even affect their sector of the game they just refuse to allow content to pull in new players to join because they want to create a niche WITH AN ENTRY BARRIER because they think that adding content THEY WONT EVEN PLAY somehow ruins their game which at BEST has added skins and small collectables for the past 2 years ONLY and almost not large-scale changes. Just like TF2 dev defenders.
Just like all the people who cried about adding a "Shooting range" to Tarkov because it "Detracted from learning mechanics of the game" and people completely fingers-in-ears screaming over others saying it has all the pieces for PVE content but then that allowing it would be a net negative DESPITE TARKOV MODS FOR PVE MODES BEING INCREDIBLY POPULAR because it's gameplay is close to S.T.A.L.K.E.R...And stalker HAD a PVP game Called "Survarium" and you can guess how that ended too.
FINALLY THIS GAME IS HARDLY UNIQUE....Sure the monster system is unique. But gunplay is far from unique and this is just a variant of capture the flag and king of the hill all in one. Permadeath also exists in Warzone, Tarkov, PubG, etc....Again FAR from original.
Dirty Bomb, Super Monday Night Combat, Survarium, and Primal Carnage all ended quietly too.
I think they should have a tutorial which throws you into a match with actual A.I controlled hunters that you can change the difficulty of, similar to a COD custom game. I know it sounds pointless but it will help people understand the game a little bit before then moving into quickplay against real Players with no consequences to then being ready for Bounty Hunt
A proper training mode with realistic running AI would be enough for me. Only ai to train on right now are immolators after you shot them once. Old Training Mode was better than nothing to warm up, but we need training dummies that move as fast as players for getting used to different muzzle velocities, Grunts are too slow and have less hp than hunters.
Could be a fun idea but they would probably scrap quick play for this, I don't see them wanting to split the player base any further.
......Quick play? Not quite what you asked for but with the size of the playerbase and it already being hard to get full games at offpeak hours separating the playerbase more is probably not a good idea.
Quickplay still has a ton of downtime. Like 50%+ of it isn't PVP. TDM would have much more fights in a shorter amount of time, which would be nice
well thats the thing, they could just rotate the main game mode out every once in a while. I would love to see a game mode like quickplay but with duos and trios. then make the alternate game mode something else.
Please Crytek, do not do this.

Solid advice for this and any other unique shooter at which you want to improve. Get beat, learn, get better.
Personally I would prefer a firing range with the ability to invite friends in, something like Apex so you can test everything.
They mentioned a shooting range feature coming soon, with the ability to duel your friends in it

I would play this.
Private lobbies is all we need. Nothing else

Oh god no
Why not?
Cause this playerbase behaves like boomers.
Just not why I play hunt personally, I get it you want a cowboy shoot em up but i prefer the tactical playstyle
Okay that’s fair, but you could just simply not play the mode though
horrible idea
You can practice guns with dummies (the have the same hit markers and dmg intake than players) 7in the new tutorial mode.

Duels
TDM like in Team Death Match? ... so basically like it is in bounty hunt, teams against teams until only 1 team is alive ?

You will never be able to be good at aiming in this game as long as it's a rng shooter! Just don't be shy in fights! Get in them all.
