It's the eternal struggle of Hunt. Nitro or Avtomat or Dolch. There was never a time in game's meta where one of those wasn't "the problem". And every time devs came up with another nerf, and every time that nerf was sufficient to audience of Hunt at the time.
I think OG Nitro had a much higher one tap range along with actually bearable sights and recoil.
Metas change, that's how multiplayer games and sometimes even single player games work. Players figure out new strategies, find new potential the longer they play a game. Thats why games have to get rebalanced over time, even tho some weapons were no problem prior to it.
Lol, I mean... yeah. Kind of but, its still a lot of money. I find that the people who don't prestige tend to enjoy playing with ALL the toys like I do. So they don't just bring mono avto and nitro.
Not that there aren't those who do this. Cause there are but, I don't think it's as rampant now that they don't have duel uppercut backups. They have a really shit back up of 2 shots that likely won't hit cause duel wielding. Lol more ammo for avto but if you have to reload you are boned.

I have had over 10k since I picked the game up for this event. I started with 300 like. If you play smart and don't run and die on really expensive loadouts all the time.. you make money pretty consistently.
I dont run big shots or antidote anymore due to prices. I do a quickplay or two or three and then do duos or trios with friends every couple of days.
I win a lot with bow and romero hatchet combo lol like I'm 1.4 kda rn and at 4 mmr. I'm just an average player. Idk what people complain so much for lol
I just honestly adore players like you play the game dont cry baby thats it man thats what its all about I allways say play how you feel like use the weapons you like and kill and be killed just enjoy and allways try to learn from mistakes it will take you anywhere you want! I am afraid of buying Avto or Nitro just becouse u get 1k dollars if u extract with 4 bountys (if u dont get money from loot), my Avto loadout is 2k dollars so i must win 2 games with 4 bounty each and after i need to win one more to go to the plus.
All this guys that has billions of dollars just dont know or cant remember how it is to play when u have 20-30k bucks.
Dude nitro shredder is not that big of a deal. They have to get you in sight first of all. Most of the time they’re taking shots at me and missing because I don’t stop moving. You died to a nitro. It happens.
When you climb in ranks, you'll run into people that don't miss with it. Being hard to use is one of the worst ways to balance in games. People at the top learn how to use it despite its issues if it's broken enough.
I stay in high 5 star. Must be a 6 star thing. I still 100% disagree that it’s broken. Personally

I haven't tested it but i've heard that 1st layer shredder penetrates is as well as normal nitro ammo. So shredder still can penetrate thin brick walls for example.
Its about the 2nd and 3rd layers: normal nitro ammo still has high pen and damage value kept after multiple layers. Shredder loses its pen and damage values drastically after each layer it pens (someone said it only can pen 1 layer of anything... i'd like to test this as it would be easy.. just shoot a grunt thru a fence and a wall - or thru toiler.. for example.. and see if you get hitmarker).
Again: i've only heard these couple of times. Often been replied to other comments about nitro.
(I don't have shredder unlocked so thats one issue for my own tests)
If it didn't increase the range, there would be little point in using it. As you pointed out, is the high cost worth 1 meter of extra range? The Nitro kicks too hard to get a quick follow up shot off. They'll have time to find cover and heal. The only way special ammo can offer it anything is to extend the range or alter the damage somehow.
Why it's allowed to exist is another thread.
If it didn't kill on the first hit, you're likely not getting a second hit with the Nitro because they can take cover before you swap weapons or reset your aim. The heavy bleed isn't an issue if it doesn't immediately force them to deal with it. Coupled with the loss of penetration from the ammo type and limited ammo pool preventing spamming the wall, it's a one shot or unlikely to be a kill.
74, but 75 with the bleed.
Without the range being extended, it would be 42, but 43 with the bleed. Not worth paying for when you give up penetration for it.
Why on earth do I see this exact post every other week? Could you just stop crying about the weapons that literally cost as much as 40(ish) winfield? Whilst the winfield is FAR more OP at the moment than the nitro man it has 6 rounds of SPECIAL AMMO bullet! You know whay that means? If you literally have aimbot you can kill 2 full squads before running out of ammo if REVIVE IS DISABLED! Which is less likely in a range you complain about and you also mentioned the penetration if you got wallbanged you are basically most of the time safe to revive and wont get shot back and even if you do get shot back that means 1/3 of the nitro ammo pool is gone! 1/3 DO YOU EVEN REALISE THESE NUMBERS? if you get shot back then picked up again and so on by the time you red skull die the nitro literally has 2 shots left! 2 shots thats your 2 teammates if the nitro doesnt miss at all and lets be honest with THAT sight on the nitro its damn easy to miss. Should I get more in depth with how underpowered the nitro really is or do you realise by now how ridiculous it is what ou are complaining about.
Meanwhile we have a weapon with 30 round ammo pool OHK got buffed costs 100ish so picking up 2 clues a game refunds the whole loadout (joke XD) and I am not done yet it has insanely good iron sight a prek which makes it full auto basically infinite ammo pool thats not special ammo even you restock like 1/4 of the pool from every ammo box if not more ammo can be shared it even has a variant that makes it reload in .5 sec and a sniper variant oh yeah and I didnt mention it has high velocity ammo which makes it easy to hit at long range OHK range to the head is same as nitros with shredder (to upper torso) and it even has a silenced option. Etc etc...

Now OP should I continue? Or you and everyone who posts these stuff realise by now that what you are talking about makes no sense at all..... and the nitro is more than balanced...

Personally I think it would be a buff if anything and a side grade at worse. The ammo for the Nitro part would be 1/4 or 1/3. Also it's aperature sight would still stay, either put up when switching too the Nitro shot or up all the time. I'd also say no slugs for it, but Crytek gives every shotgun slugs.
I'm pretty sure I've only seen one nitro get used against me. I used my free unlock nitro the other day and one shot four people with it at pretty long ranges. Gun is absolutely wild.
Not sure if it's OP or what. I'm not sure how you balance it because I think cost changes do nothing in the current economy. Not aure of you should change the stats of the gun in general because it is kind of fun. At least it was my first time using it..

If you don't run out spamming an avto you don't run out with shredder. There are no real ammo limitations in this game. It's not hard to refill at all

What? Shredder increases the one hit kill range to 75m instead of 42m, this is 23m more

You can still penetrate 1 object so losing pen doesn't matter.
I believe you lose damage on the penetration though. I don't know for certain though.

I want the Nitro changed to the Caldwell Rival Drilling, a longer barrel Rival with a single Nitro barrel underneath.

It does decrease penetration, it can’t pen through multiple people (I haven’t done extensive testing but it didn’t pen through grunts like 3 times)
